Goler Canyon Death Valley on a Yamaha XT225

This was my first ride up Goler, and I did it on my XT225. XT had Kenda Tracmaster tires, Racetech Suspension and Acerbis tank. Pretty capable little bike if riden within its limits.
Awesome video!
Did you ever make that video on timing?! Thanks!
I adjusted mine because of too much slack. It was slacking again within a month. I’ve heard the stock chain is junk. I’m going to try and find a better chain.
This was helpful including the tips. Much appreciated
"obviously putting a license plate on is simple" i have no idea how to put on my plate 💀
REAL SHIT 😭
Thank you for sharing the instruction. Is it possible that you can provide the link for purchasing the chain tool in the video? Thanks a lot.
Enjoyed this very much. Such a fascinating area.🙂
thanks for clarifying
they are on the way cant wait ! ( $29,99 on amazon at the time of this msg )
I bought a 2023 and it came with one installed
Thanks so much for this great instructional video. I’ve a 2021 Tan CT125 Hunter Cub and just finished fitting my B6 using your directions. Turned out perfectly and I’m really so much more comfortable with the running and ancillary brake LED light. I’ve subscribed to your channel. All the best from Tasmania.👍🇦🇺
Where can I get one ?
Thanks for the video. I want to add the same to my trail. After doing it would you recommend the dual lights or the single light under the plate? I'm wondering if two lights are just too bright.
What were the wire colors you posi tapped into? It got a little confusing listening to you in the video. Thanks
Not alot of people carry around a drill...my neighborhood would shock you my dude....lol
Would it not be faster and less work just to pull the new chain through with the old one, I have always don it and no need to remove any thing.
Part of owning Mosko stuff is saying "I have enough money for Mosko stuff". Good stuff but luxury end of the market.
Did you say that was a 14 mm ?? Didn't see anything in the manuel regarding mirrors.
Thanks. Just took my new Trail 125 out for the first time and could not see directly behind me. Saw FB recommendations on the Doubletakes but agree, too bulky, and not sure how much additional width i gain. Ill look into the others you suggested. Thanks for taking time to do this comparison
It’s a Hunter Cub . Like in bear track .
Thank you!
I'd love to see more details on your rack. I've been thinking of building a knock off tusk rack as they don't make one for me either but haven't found details on what's needed for the quick release mounts.
Great video enjoyed it. I’m thinking of trading my pcx 150 for one I’m tired of removing most of the plastic just to do valve checks. Subscribe
Hard to find the right mirrors for large people. The last pair you tried are fine but extends way past the handlebar ends. Makes lane splitting or weaving through heavy traffic hard. They will take a beating in the outback we well. Motorcycle makers don't take the locations of the mirror mount points seriously. Every motorcycle I own has the right and left mirror mounts in different locations on the handlebars. The mirrors are exactly the same but the mount points aren't.
Thanks for the info on the location of the electronic ignition kit. I’ve got a 69’ cb160, it still has points and runs great ever since I set the timing. I don’t really need the electric ignition but with parts getting scarce it wouldn’t be a bad idea to pick up a set. Nic job on the video by the way. Thanks again!
Smart!!!
Helpful review by someone who obviously has experience riding off-road and knows what works. Tusk is designed and priced for mere mortals -- which means 86.7% of us. They fill a broad niche and are great to work with. Would be interesting to see a side-by-side comparo of the high-end units: Enduristan, Giant Loop, Mosko, Lone Rider, Adventure Spec, etc then a comparo of the "mere mortals" units: Tusk, Nelson-Rigg, etc. Let's face it, we are blessed to have so many options to fit our needs and budgets in this riding segment.
I had Enduristan on my Tengai (KLR650). Did not rate them all that highly to be honest!
First watched this video when it came out, since then found Opmid Dr. Lamp module on internet. It adds running light function to front turn signals, cost about 60 bucks, got mine at steadygarage. Plug and play, wiring as good as factory
What size allen wrench is needed for tightening the 1st extenders u showed.
i rode harleys HOGS my entire life. and i bought one of these and called it piglet. then a sexy little thing saw it and named mine WILBUR. i had to come home and find out why. and now its wilbur. and when i change my chain and tire i'm going to a 3.0 17 tire and a 15 42 sprockets. that is just a little lower gear than stock but larger tire makes up for it. and if i go to a 14 or 13 tooth on the front i really get a lot lower gear. i plan on doing that next month but at 4000 miles my rear tire is still pretty good and i hate to change something not wore out.

What wax lube do you use?
👍👍 i just ordered my 2nd set of Tusk rack/soft bag set up for the 2nd bike ive had it on... that Mosko and or Giant loop bags look awesome but DARN the cost is tripple by the time you buy it all separate...................had the 'pilot bags last time went with the 'Olympus' bags this time for the better attachment system and slightly more capacity
Seriously, you can't go past the Tusk Olympus or Pilot for ease of use, ruggedness and value for money!
@@andrewtreloar7389 YUP the Olympus bags with how they attach and hold their shape better + of course they are bigger worked out great , i slapped em on and went the following week to do the WABDR with my son
@@justsomedude445 awesome mate. Looking at heading over your way (USA, as I'm from Australia) with a couple of mates to do the GCDR, Mexico and Canada in 2004. This review really helped me decide on the Olympus for travels. Thanks mate!
@@andrewtreloar7389 LoL id love to see Australia

Hope the sidecar dream worked out. Wondering if you ever added the two visionxusa solo pods and if the charging system was able to maintain it? Thinking of adding f the pods to my cl175k4. It has a cb200 stator but I’m worried it won’t be enough. Thanks!
Very good. Info
Greeting any chance you can show us how too install those dual license led lights? Im trying to install to OEM brake light and can connect one with quick connect and it works ( running light and strobe when brake applied) but when I tap in both light’s wiring together into quick connect all it does is strobe. Any advice would be appreciated!

Greeting 👋 I have a question 🙋🏼♂️ if instead of soldering you just join both wires and install in quick pin will that work?
Hello Friend, Great video, I would like to know where to get the cord you connected to the battery. Thanks Jerry Parks
Best video out there on installing these..!!! ✅
Very helpful thank you
Great video, very insightful
Is there anything special about replacing the oil seal behind the points plate, such as turning the motor until all the rockers are loose to see if you can wiggle the end of the camshaft up and down to get it out, or is it simply plucking it out and pressing the new one in place?
excellent review, thank you
Great video thank you it’s very helpful. Keep posting more videos like this. God bless you
You shouldn’t replace those Springs with stainless steel or anything else for that matter. They are specifically tensioned to swing the weights out at the right rpm to advance the timing at the correct speed for your motor. If you replace them your advance will not work correctly Unless they are tensioned exactly like your stock ones which I doubt they will be. Just an FYI.
Good video. I certainly don't want to bust up my new battery cover. With the quality of Honda you would think they would have did something different here. Another push pin would have probably been better. Good info on the battery hookup also Thank you much!
NOW I KNOW HOW TO INSTALL MY HAM RADIO AND CB RADIO. THX. WILL THE BATTERY SUPPORT 12V AT 20 AMPS ?
Great video, thank you for taking the time. Just installed the terminal leads for a battery tender. I must say, my ‘19 Monkey was far easier to work on!
Does this same pigtail he is showing in the video work for a battery tender also? I'm not that familiar with the battery tender hookup. Thanks, EE.
@@luvbgrass Yep, 2 pin molded (trailer) connector. Battery Tender JR. plugs right in.
@@samuelworley109 Awesome. Thanks for the information.
You are a great teacher. Thanks!
Is there a link to these mirrors?
