Great work but the Capital A's look like G or C
@grahamferris722 that is true about that style of A. But, I like the contrast that it gives to the block style letters used in Garage.
Filling in the closed part of the letters really made it look better. An airbrushed shadow from the top card would looked good also, just my thought. Great job though!
@@user-yt8jr3ec9u thanks
Speaking just for me, I find music annoying. There's tons of ASMR to your work without adding music. No one on TH-cam will ever mention pricing, but would you at least tell us roughly how many hours you invested? We can use a per-hour guess of our own and figure it from there.
@billbyrd9845 you have my wheels spinning on the best way to discuss pricing in a video. I have about 3 videos currently to edit. Working on Filming a 4th, but think that would be a good idea for.an upcoming video. I do however want to get back to the color theory videos. I try hard to listen to the suggestions folks throw out. I will try to get to that topic as soon as I can. I think it is needed.
Love It!! Thanks for great videos! This is how I do it, except for using an omnichrome pencil to draw on the glass on the inside. I had trouble in the beginning, until I closed one eye, and then the refraction of the glass was no longer a problem. I had my daughter help with tracing images on the glass a couple years ago. She was amazed with the eye trick.
@hillfamilyfarms1962 i do the one eye deal too. Not.sure.if I mentioned it.
Please fix to the spelling on the thumbnail. Lol
@@lubblegarage thank you. Had somebody come into the shop and talk to me while I tried to finish that up and publish it yesterday. All changed now. I really do appreciate you bringing that to my attention.
@@JackFlemingArtistry I used to be heavy in magazine advertising and as you know spelling is huge. Love your work especially distressed truck door logos.

Brushing makes for a more rustic finish. Thankfully, the "old timey" stuff can't be properly duplicated with printed or cut vinyl...🖌️👍
@@nsidor1234 I think painted signage fits the look of these older biuldings better.
@@JackFlemingArtistry Yes, fine work Jack. Nice to see real craftsmanship in action.
@@nsidor1234 thank you.
so a question, instead of the pouncing, why not just put the art on the back of the glass and paint the letters on the front?
@@allysonca because the glass was tinted to almost solid black.
What brand and size brushes do you use?
@dunebuggy1286 I probably used a King 13 on this. Unsure what size. I mostly use King 13s sizes anywhere from 00000 to o, I also use Von Dagos sizes 00 to 2. Sometimes I use a series 10 mack sizes 00 or 0. Been using some Kafka scrolling brushes lately. I use Dragon Flys some times. I am sure I skipped a couple. Just depends on the job and which one I feel like using for the day. I have a lot of brushes.
Haven't seen sign writing done on truck door for ages good to see the art still alive even if it's done in a overseas country cheers
It is not as prominent as it was, but still alive all over the world,
Great tip. I especially like the way you made a pour spout, out of tape, on the big can.
@chrissoprano5360 I have seen other folks donit a bunch. Had to try it out. Worked well.
Hey man, appreciate you showing the process. New to your channel. How do you price your sign work?
@raivenvialva6291 first I figured out what my hourly labor is worth, then what it cost to run my shop per hour. That gives me my labor rate. I combine that with the cost of expenses for the sign. Sometimes I factor in difficulty or skill kevel.
Very nice

Wow that looks great. I like how you practiced 'repetition of a theme' with the truck badging. 3M used to make a fineline transparent green tape that came in a wide version you could remove 1/16" sections of to yield perfectly parallel lines. In your case you would have removed most of the tape. I've had mixed success using it to spray on pinstripes without bleeding. Back in the day I used to watch a guy here on the West Coast named Shakey Jake pinstripe show cars. Thanks for evoking that memory.😅
@uncleronny6748 thanks. I actually saw a car done by him a couple years ago at show here in Texas. The line work was masterful.
How do you clean your brushes and what kind of oil?

I know guys can pinstripe cars faster than you pinstriped that one little panel
@@jameslegg796 I stripe cars faster than I pinstriped that panel. That brush was super hard to use. That is what I was hoping to get across. Can it be done with those. Ya, kind of, but it is easier and faster with a better brush.
Love all the details. You do some great work 👍 ( I even saw a part of my OBS in the corner)...👍🏁
@@nsidor1234 right on
Those look like Re-branded Kustom Shop brushes.
@Hotrodmonk55 that is what I thought at first. However, the handles are not molded plastic like Kustom Shop, and the taper of the brush hairs is better on the Kustom Shop.
The real-time videos are great, because we get an understanding of your thought process as you build the design. Your commentary for each line lets us know why you are moving a particular way and how your are making adjustments in the middle of the process. CHEERS!
Thank you for taking the time to explain your process.
Thank you for be willing to give this a real test. Your finished piece is so good because you are already a master of the craft. That may not be the case for the rest of us. I like all of the content you put out for us. Thanks for the great quality videos.
@hillfamilyfarms1962 thank you. These were a challenge to use, and I hope that comes across in the video. Much easier to use a more expensive brush.
I'm a gallery artist in NYC and have used "BullsEye" One Shot for 25 years. I had no idea you could tint them with Acrylic paint. Great Vid. Your lettering is outstanding.. No way I could ever do that. It reminds me of the care my graffiti friends use in their work. Really well done sir. Thank you !!!
@TheopticnerveX not tinted with acrylic. Everything is enamel.
@@JackFlemingArtistry What brand are those plastic bottle colors you are using? I'm so curious!
