  • Car show boards are a great way to give spectators some quick information about your car. Hand painted show boards are one of my favorite projects to make for customers because they give the opportunity to combine many of the skills that are already a joy to work with. It always brings me extra excitement to see painted boards at car shows and try to figure out who painted them. This video starts with the design and drawing stage of this project and follows it all the way to the point of handing it off to a friend to clear coat it. I tried my best to share some helpful tips, materials, and processes. Leave a comment if this was helpful or if you have any tips to add to the conversation. Have a great day.

From someone who is trying to improve their painting, lettering, etc. I really enjoy the EXTRA DETAILING. Your explanation of your technique is great. Thanks

Thanks. I try to answer some of the questions people often ask. These videos are fun to make, but it is more enjoyable to know that other people actually get something out of them.

Just found your channel this morning. Not sure why you don’t have more views, I’ve liked all that I have seen so far. THIS one, so damn cool! Anyone that replicates chrome and vehicle representation this well…. gets big support from me. Sub’d and will check out your online shop. Keep sharing your work, cool sh!t !

Awesome! Great video. Are these show boards done on wood or metal?

Thanks for the video! That truck looks amazing!! I've been painting signs for years and will be painting my first car show board. I was wondering what brush you used for the casual lettering? I use #5 grey squirrel lettering quills a lot but looks like I need a smaller brush. I have a Kafka #3 striping brush...would that work for lettering?

I am pretty sure that I was using a Virus. Probably a size 4
