    Ditch the canola oil garbage for healthier 100% pure avocado oil. Canola oil is a seed oil that causes severe inflammation in the body.

    I tried making the roti, but they didn’t turn out very well. Maybe because I didn’t have canola oil so I used avocado oil, and used too much, I think. I am not giving up though and I am going to make the yellow curry to go with my next attempt. I love your calm and gentle presentation, and how beautifully you film the process of preparing the ingredients. 😊

    Hi. Thanks...beautiful video and beautiful rotis. However, one question : do you use whole wheat flour or normal flour (for cake) ?

    • @AllThingsFood
      @AllThingsFood หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much alefiaa! I appreciate that. So in using normal flour like what you would use for a cake. We just call it all purpose flour. You can use wheat flour if you’d like just check the amount of water you use. Add it in a little at a time and mix it until the dough comes together, if it’s too dry add more water. Hope this helps!!

    My dough was way too wet with these measurements, did this happen to anyone else?

    • @AllThingsFood
      @AllThingsFood หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi shamrock! Yes this even happens to me from time to time. Add in a tablespoon of flour at a time and then continue to knead, repeat the process until the dough comes together. The types of ingredients, location, time of day, seasons and humidity can all effector the dough. If you do end up making it again, add in a little less water. Hopefully this helps!!

  • @livelovelaugh3693

    As an Indian, I can bet and say there are many corrections in kneading process, rolling process and frying process. Rotis must puff up fully like a balloon.... That's perfect roti. Not all Indians know the technique perfectly too. Nevertheless, Great attempt.

    • @AllThingsFood
      @AllThingsFood หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi livelovelaugh, hah great username btw. I can definitely say there are soooo many variations of roti, how it’s made and what ingredients are used. It’s just like your houses masala mix right? Every house hold has their own way of making it. This is just the way my South African mother makes her roti. Definitely need to try the open flame method and I also need to get a tawa haha. So much to learn right. Thanks for watching and commenting though! I appreciate it 🙌
