Why you shouldn't go camping alone | Fall in Vermont
มุมมอง 5369 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Brought my camera along for one of my favorite camping trips thus far - Quechee, Vermont. In previous years, I've typically been running all over New England trying to capture the foliage, but this year, Quechee was the only time I was in the area. The focus was entirely on just capturing moments as they happened, organically. And in my opinion, these vibes were immaculate. Connect with me on I...

The problem with fall
มุมมอง 121หลายเดือนก่อน
Maybe I'm alone here, but I just think we need to do a better job looking out for some of the places we choose to visit (or not to visit). This fall, I've largely stayed away from the NE area because of how hyped up it has gotten. I love it so much but perhaps not enough to deal with the sometimes overwhelming crowds.

Plenty of paid sponsorship reviews out there, really glad yours isn’t.
Love your rig! Recently ordered my Delta 2 with extra battery and solar panels. The Amazon BF sales are amazing!
Thank you! And thanks for watching. That’s great to hear, hope you enjoy it!
Name of the jacket?
Filson waxed work jacket 🤙
@ Thank you, I just watched your Flint and Tinder Hudson jacket review, they both look great. How would you compare the two, do you prefer one or the other?
I appreciate you checking that out! They’re very very different and I love them both haha. I actually have a video coming out comparing the two so that’s funny you commented that. I find myself wearing both equally as much so I don’t know if I have a preference. I layer the Filson one because it’s boxier, and the F&T I usually don’tlayer.
"The focus was entirely on just capturing moments as they happened" I think you nailed it. Nicely done.
Really appreciate that, thank you!
Well done!
Thanks! and thanks for watching!
where was this camping spot? if you could tell me i would love to stay there!!!
I just bought one for my cpap machine when the power goes out. It was on sale for $399 on Amazon until 11/29/2024 I believe
Don't bother the solar panel in the pacific Northwest. There isn't enough sun.
Hahah might be better off using the eco flow alternator for the PNW!
@@mattzefi Charge a battery with a battery. what could possibly go wrong?
Where are these roads?
some really nice shots in this video!
Thanks for your artistry, mate 🎥
Ecoflow delta 2 solar panels but no cables to connect to power station it is funny and no body want to buy like this!11111
Are these true to size and what specific color are the lug boots? Thanks!
They are true to size and these are in Rustic Black. Thanks for watching 👍
A few things to consider for those who hammock camp. I have stopped sleeping in tents years again. I'm no beast by any means. But at 6'3" and 260lbs, my hammock is one of those expensive larger asymmetric ones. They generally don't fit most aftermarket stands. This stands will also hit you wallet close to $500.
Thanks for weighing in on this and for watching! Great points
Dude amazing. I’m from upstate NY and I’m trying to find some off roads to drive to
Your videos look so clean! I love it!!!!
Thank you!!
There's over 7000 satellites for Starlink out right now, with weekly launches. Their goal is 42,000 in the next few years. I'm not a fan of Elon, but the service is a game changer. The monthly charge can be suspended, so it's perfect for overlanding. Even in wooded areas, the signal is very good, with speeds up to 200 down. The new version is much smaller and can also be used while driving, I've seen people even keep them in their moon roofs or skylights. Personally, working remotely, I'd always choose anywhere coverage with the satellites.
It can't create something out of nothing.
💯💯
did you camp overnight at the beach? and did anyone bother you?
I didn't stay there overnight, I dont believe you can, but that beach is inside the campground so it's really easy to be close to it.
I don’t regret getting mine. It’s made a difference in a lot of places. I want to get starlink as well though.
Agreed - definitely don’t regret mine either. Starlink is probably in the future at some point!
Laptops don't use much power...
I’ve definitely noticed this more; I keep hearing news stories about it. It seems like social media influencers have a lot to do with it in the last few years. Kind of hoping it’s a “trend” that will fade out and go back to being just those folks who are serious about enjoying the natural wonders of a northern fall, without just looking for that “insta-worthy vibe”…
Right it is getting a bit out of hand. I love the influx of people getting outside, my hope is that we could take care of things and spread it out to new places haha
Legend says he’s been wide awake with all that caffeine in Vermont since filming this video😂
Still bouncing off the wall 🤣
The ecoflow alternator charger might work well for you
I honestly haven't yet found the need for one, but maybe down the line if need arises
now this is a video I can get behind - unreal stuff man!
Hey thanks mate! ☕️
And it is the precursor to all of the holidays which equals stress, too. Even “happy” can be stressful. For me ,just coming from excessive heat and humidity, Fall is like the last ditch effort to be outside at every chance before winter sets in. And, I want to be alone in the Fall. It’s always the people who seem to take things for granted that can potentially ruin it for the rest of us who revel in the beauty of the season. Sigh
Absolutely! Yeah the weather is perfect this time of year so I definitely understand the influx of crowds. It would be cool to spread it out some more tho
Don’t litter, it kills the turtles❌🐢 take care of our 🌎 like our 🏠
Exactly bro 🐢
I might have missed it but where do you find out about the possibility of seeing the NL in advance? I've missed seeing them a few times up until Oct 10th but only found out because of social media.
I have alerts on my phone using the Aurora app! You basically just put in your location and it won't bother you unless you've got a viewing chance in the area.
@@mattzefi ohh awesome. I'll check it out. Thanks!
I’m in mid-Missouri and it was absolutely insane, better than in May. I go out to a local bird sanctuary near the Missouri River where I have a 360 degree view of the horizon. If it weren’t for the moon being out we could have seen the Milky Way too! I got there at 9 PM and had the same reaction you did - trying to take 100 pictures at the same time from every location and angle. It was nuts!
Haha right it was overwhelming but so much fun. Sounds like you had an amazing location, good call on that!
Great idea for a video! Surprised there aren't more "secret spots"

They’re so solid!
Pls do the delta two max video.
It’s up on my channel! 😁
How much did you pay for that one? How many hours do you get from a fully charged box?
I paid $459 for a refurbished one from their website. Just charged it and haven't used it yet
I paid around 800, but i believe it dropped in price right after I bought it. Hours fully depends on the power draw, but I have run my portable camping fridge for days
Just bought one of these today on Amazon. Amazon has a deal 40 dollars off so it’s $159
Nice, let me know what you think when you get it!
I'm a hammock camper and absolutely love it. I really like the idea of this stand, and the execution with the swivel ball mount is amazing. I camped on the beach out at Hither Hills (far eastern tip of Long Island) and this would have been perfect. I ended just using my own stand since trees were non-existant, and this would have been VERY convenient. There's been places up in the Adirondacks and in the Catskills where this would have been very handy. However, that price... $500? Ouch.
Ayee fellow NY camper. Yeah LI, catskill, adks, definitely ideal for those scenarios. I definitely need to try more hammock camping soon
The Titanium version would be better because in freezing conditions you could leave it near a smoldering fire to keep it from freezing without worrying about melting the bottle
Great point! Definitely would have to be careful about the filter itself not getting too hot but honestly that point makes me even more happy about my Ti
little too much $ for me but I like that you could boil water if the filter was flawed. just got the blue ultra press today awesome can’t wait to try it out

That sounds awesome! There’s so many great spots there in Lake placid, although not nearly as many as out west obviously. There are some meet ups in the tri-state that are great as well, I also plan to host one in the future 🙌
thanks for this video. i'm going on my (first) solo road trip to new england and this was really helpful. incredible photography and cinematography too!

Ah yes, I get that, so many options up there! Number 10 might be just for you haha
Packing extra gas so I don’t need to look around small towns in pitch black for gas🤞🏼 I don’t want to be in the next horror film😂
