I'm hoping someone in the business will respond to your question. We purchased a York system because we wanted a company with better customer service and that we thought might stand by their product. Lennox showed me that they didn't care about homeowners as customers so I just couldn't buy another Lenox unit. Hopefully, somone with current Lennox knowledge and experience in the industry might weigh in for you.

yeah sorry about the term. If they would have replaced ours with the aluminum one under the warranty I would have been a happier customer rather than waiting 3 months with no delivery of a new coil in sight.

seriously. We've already had two roof leaks in a seven year old roof. What ever happened to craftsmanship.

@@justtravelingthru_ Bryant is made by Carrier. All the manufactures to my knowledge are now using aluminum coils. The rust that is visible is common over time on the plates that hold the coils in place at both sides of the evaporator unit. Various failures can occur overtime. Our previous ac systems were by Carrier. The last unit the air handler motor went out prior to a year in service and after 8 years the condensing coil had a major leak. Both items were replaced by Carrier. I am not sure if the warranties provided today would be the same. Seems supply chain issues still exist. These issues are not isolated to ac systems. We had an issue regarding a washing machine. Broke down twice in less than 2 years. Supply chain issues and actually getting a service technician to do the repairs in a timely manner. The retailer wound up refunding us the original purchase price of the washing machine.

the way they handled our situation was terrible. I hope they improve their customer service. Perhaps, they focus more on their large customers than they do individual home owners.

Your dealer should have been more involved. We are a not the biggest dealer in our region but if one of our customers is experiencing issue with their Lennox unit we are the middle man.

My dealer was very involved. They were getting the same run around response as I was and the local Lennox parts dealer told me they weren't getting any better response for clients. Lennox should have helped them to find a part - whether it was used or taken from a new system or whatever. Making clients wait for months is just not acceptable. They could have offered to replace my system at a discount or something. I am glad that you have had a better experience tho.

Yes, you can use a US driver license and rent a car. Taxis in rural France need to mostly be booked in advance from what we understand and you may not find that they all speak English. There are some luxury tours that indicate that they can taylor an itinerary for you. Tour companies such as this one: luxuryfrancetours.com/loire-valley. You may find that if you stay in one of the larger cities such as Tours, you can find taxis to some of the nearby chateaux. If viable, driving is the best way to go for flexibility and to allow you to see more than just the most popular castles.

Do you have experience with heatpumps? Both our service vendor and Lennox and the local Lennox parts dealer agreed that the coil needed to be replaced. Lennox also agreed that it was covered under warranty. There was no issue with any of that - other than the fact that it failed after just 5 years. The biggest problem was that I waited 85 days for the replacement and was never given a date for delivery or any indication of when it might be delivered. This was after both my service vendor and I called several times during that timeframe.

What isn’t normal is the coil leaking after 5 years which happens with these coils.

I'm right there with ya. Our unit was the same age and their lack of concern for the customer was glaringly apparent.

yeah - I mention that in the video. The coil I had should have been replaced with the aluminum part under warranty. The problem was that they never delivered the part. I waited 3 months for the part and called repeatedly and eventually gave up because there was no time frame provided for replacement. I was forced to buy a new system, essentially.
