Eleven11Outdoors reviews outdoor gear from the perspective of decades of outdoor experience. This channel is focused on multitools, knives, flashlights, and many other types of outdoor gear. It is intended to introduce my friends to gear that they may find essential to their edc and outdoor adventures. It is my hope that these videos will assist people in discovering new gear. Ultimately, I want to help others get a good look and an honest review of gear that I have found useful in my own adventures. Thank you so very much for watching my videos.
Self Rescue preparedness.
This video is all about exiting a vehicle in an emergency situation. It covers some inexpensive items that would be priceless in an emergency.

What does "gladiator style steel" mean? It feels like marketing jargon
It looks really nice and I actually would be interested in having one but D2 is garbage steel if it's not something like s35vn to start or even s30v then it's gas station Steel
My favorite EDC.
It looks like a beefed up version of my Benchmade infidel!!! I like
@@sykotik4200 it does look like an infidel on steroids. I knew it reminded me of something….. that’s it, you are absolutely right.
Nice knife
@@danielbray2679 its a really nice dagger. I had fun testing it. I really pounded on it and it didn’t show any signs of wear. Even after all the combat testing, it still made feather sticks very well. Not bad at all.
This is a great looking knife. Yeah, i want it and really dont need it 😂
@@chancecarlton8403 I know exactly what you mean. Although I have zero regrets on the purchase. I have this in the case in my studio and everyone is drawn to it. It’s just one of those blades that catches the eye. The only thing better than looking at it is using it. Thanks for the comment. Thank you very much for watching my video!
Pig hunters will love it, beautiful sticker..❤
@@islandpainter3964 I live in Texas there is no shortage of Hog hunters here. They live knives like this. I like carrying it when I am out in the woods. We have quite a few mountain lion in my area and this is peace of mind. I like having a large knife out there. Thanks for the comment. Thank you for watching my video!
Where is it made?
@@haveaknifeday Odenwolf knives are made in Odenwald Germany. It’s a family owned company that makes outstanding knives.
Odenwolf knives are extremely well built AND affordable
@@PreppingWithSarge I agree. I have tested quite a few and they have all really impressed me. People just don’t understand that all D2 steel is not made equal. Odenwolf does an outstanding D2. I literally chopped a log in half with this knife. And the edge held up extremely well. Thanks for the comment. Thank you, very much, for watching my video!
Love your videos, really great work! There's an interesting pivot handle accessory for the Leatherman bit driver extension online (JordanEngineering) - might be worth a review?
That's a knife!!
Just bought the Powerpint after carrying a Charge tti for years. It just gets a bit heavy and hangs on me a bit. The Powerpint does 95% of what I needed the Chagre for and I never feel its size on my hip.
@@raizt1596 bravo! Totally agree. The Powerpint is big on performance and small in size. I’m glad to hear your getting good use out of yours. Mine literally travels with me everywhere. Thanks for sharing. Thank you for watching my video!
It really is a weapon. Another 12 inches and it would be a Roman Gladius. I think that it is probably a criminal offence to carry a weapon like that. Hard to think of a reasonable excuse for having it.
@@user-yx2ff3mv2q I’m in Texas. We can legally carry anything. I don’t think many people would carry this blade. But hey, I saw a guy walking down the road with twin katana on his back, all Deadpool style. So, you never know, I guess.
@FloydCotton-hx4jh lol
@@FloydCotton-hx4jhI just watched the video again. It looks longer than 8 inches. We aren't allowed anything longer than 6 inches maximum and you really need to be careful where you would take a knife. There's no lock knives allowed and no double edges like that one, even if it's less than 6 inches. That dagger style blade is considered a weapon. We have lots of stupid laws that do absolutely nothing to prevent people from being stabbed or even stop people carrying knives. We have African gangs running around with 3 foot long machetes. The cops are too busy arresting TH-camrs for what they say in their videos but complain that they have no resources. This place is in serious trouble.
@@user-yx2ff3mv2q I also live in the USA, not Texas but Kentucky, similar laws on weapons. I can carry anything I can legally own, almost anywhere. Gun, sword, knife, throwing stars...do I need this knife? Of course not....but damn....

@@bensears7499 age brings wisdom for sure. I have knives that are definitely useful…….and I have some that are not too practical at all. This is one of those knives most people hope there will never be a use for.
This vs Cold steel trail master?
@@creaturecrew3938 the trail master comes in CPM or VG-1…..so there is a steel advantage there, theoretically. But at almost 300 dollars……I would say that the Odenwolf is a better choice, unless you just have money to burn. The sheath on the Odenwolf is absolutely better quality. But, at the end of the day, the Odenwolf handled everything I threw at it without fail. Also, the trail master is more of a bush clearing/machete style blade. Whereas the Odenwolf is more of a combat dedicated platform.

People cutting stuff, people reading the information off the box, people pushing overpriced knives. I wanted to start a channel that reviews gear a regular person would buy. I wanted to provide my fellow outdoorsmen with a unique perspective on gear that I truly believe would add value to their lives. That is still my mission and please keep in mind that my channel is very small. I have only been on TH-cam for a little over a year, but most of that time I did not have the resources to put strong energy into the channel. I have four kids and I work two jobs…. I am not really an excuse guy, but that’s my position. I intend to add more content and put much more energy into the channel. This is what I really enjoy doing and I am SO thankful I can do it. Thank you for your time. Thank you SO much for watching my videos!
I want to know.... how long did it take to brainstorm the word for word dialogue here in this Short ? Some great lines and possibly even greater delivery LOL
We all need it, times , they be changing. Fast, excellent Odin wolf.
@@RolfRobertson6404 agreed. It would be quite an asset if needed.

Great for on the go!
Is it sharp??
I think the reason it turned green was because the base was yellow, and the black you used mixed with the yellow to turn green. Rit dye's site explains this better, showing how to mix two colors.
@@juliangarcia1554 you may be right. I haven’t had a chance to circle back around to this……but, I kind of like the olive color it developed into. So, I may have to get another and try this again. I really appreciate the advice. I will definitely look into their website, I haven’t been there yet.
Cool
@@juliangarcia1554 these knives are a serious upgrade to the original models. If you haven’t visited this brand in a while, they are definitely worth a look. I appreciate you watching my videos! I remember our conversations from Facebook…….thank you for being here!
I would love to add that to my collection. It's nice. Did you make a sheath?
@@juliangarcia1554 I did……leatherwork isn’t exactly my strongest asset. There’s a local artist that is helping me learn leatherwork…… I’m picking it up pretty quickly. I intend to post a more in depth video on this knife once I have a sheath that is worthy. Thank you for the kind compliments!
Gladiator style? You mean a gladius? thats a real 11-10 take lol
@@TheBearanormalRealm yes, I meant gladiator style. The gladiators used many, many different weapons from all over the world. This looks to me like a blade that would be at their disposal. Just my opinion. Thanks for the comment. Thank You for watching my video!
The main reason my wave and surge remained mostly unused was because it was a big inconvenience to two hand open the tool just to access the tools I used the most on the inside. At that point it was more convenient to just get my toolbag. Plenty of times working around the house where it was so inconvenient that I stopped doing what I was doing and went to grab my toolbag. But I don’t do that with the arc
@@TetraSamurai I can relate to this very much.
Is it trash?
@@mbhaus6349 far from it. It is actually very well made and capable.
Very nice, but missing much of what people most value in a SAK… scissors, pen and a small screwdriver/prybar. Of course it would raise the weight, but not necessarily by much. The Victorinox Compact weighs practically nothing and the Roxon S501U is manageable while having both an enormous pair of scissors and an ingenious interchangeable blade system (really quite an impressive tool, although a hair of blade wobble inherent in the design).
If you test the saws, you might want to try dry wood, green wood and stemy weeds. From what I’ve heard the more aggressive saws work best on the greener and weedier side of things. So that might be best for a gardener or outdoorsman, while a woodworker or handyman might prefer the less aggressive saw. Just a thought… I don’t think I’ve seen anyone actually do that testing.
@@FreedomFox1 thank you for the advice. I am working on a few testing shots for the videos…….i will definitely take your advice. I truly appreciate the feedback! Thank you for watching my video!
@ Awesome, thanks… not something I’ve tried, so it would be interesting to see!
The Harbor Freight “Gordon” tool has the file. The Workpro is an even cheaper Amazon product that has the same. They’re basically leatherman clones (which I have no problem with)…. but to be fair, Roxon and Nextool have some genuinely impressive innovations.
the selling point for me is always the sheath, so far that looks like a nice one 👍👍
@@debtfree_2024 this sheath is as impressive as the knife. I don’t know if you watched my full video on this one, but you get a good look at the sheath there. It is outstanding. Thanks for the comment! Thank you for watching my video!
It looks like a very good knife and it would be a very good combat knife
@@douglassshephard3732 it is very well made…..it would be a formidable weapon for sure. Thanks for the comment!
That's a cool piece for sure. I have a smaller version that uses scalpel blades, different brand though
@@GerstBladeworks I like the scalpel for fine work. I have a few that use scalpel and they really come in handy. I like this one because it feels more to me like an actual knife. Thanks for the comments. And thank you for watching my video! I really appreciate it.
@FloydCotton-hx4jh yeah I will definitely have to grab one soon . I do a lot of cutting on extremely abrasive materials and even with the highest edge retention steels out there, they aren't impervious to the havock. Then, I have to re sharpen those knives and while I enjoy sharpening knives, it can be overwhelming when you have to do it constantly. I guess the biggest thing with this knife is, how much over time will these blades cost and add up to? and will they be produced for the life of the knife ? One day, you could be ready to buy a new set of blades and the company has gone under or discontinued them. Alternatively, you could buy a mess load of them up front to make sure you never run out but then that is just putting you back into the price bracket of say, a Spyderco para 3 with Maxamet steel. Lots of things to consider and I suppose if you had to and you were SOL.. and can't get anymore blades, im sure you could hone them on a fine sharpening stone to bring them back to life, but yet again, we could just be doing that with a regular knife 😂 I know.. I'm a fun time at parties right ? 😂
@ well said, my friend. Well said.
