- A subscriber requested a review of a Ganzo Firebird fixed blade knife. We took the knife on several adventures and came back with some interesting results. For 18 dollars, it is an amazing value.

I have 2 of these now.
Seriously, they feel great in the hand.
9cr14MoV or the American equivalent 440C is a fantastic steel, better than even the BUCK BOS heat treated 420HC. On par with 154cm.
The blade size is PERFECT for a camp knife. Food prep, cleaning game like fish or rabbits, cutting rope, whittling wood, that blade is a chainsaw!
@@Orlosthedruid nice! I totally agree with you. I was completely surprised by this blade. It is an outstanding value for sure. It is an awesome camp knife.
Thanks for the comment. And thank you for watching my video!
You are correct about the heat treat. When I re-profiled mine on my worksharp it was plenty hard, Not soft at all.
@@michaelcervantez3570 they did a great job on this knife for sure. Mine really performed great as well. The worksharp is an awesome sharpener in the right hands.
Thank you for the comment. And thank you for watching my video!
Great vid and review!
@@ElJuIcE6o2 thank you very much! I really appreciate the compliment. Thank you for watching my video. Be on the look out for my next video……I reveal whether or not this knife is full tang or not. I had another subscriber ask me if it was and I could not find anything on the internet that would answer their question. So I had to open it up for myself. If you’re curious about that too……check out my follow up video. Thanks again for your kind words!
I bought six of these last month and gave them to family members on a camping trip.
@@michaelcervantez3570 that’s a great idea. It is an outstanding camping knife. Excellent choice!
Thank you for sharing your story and thank you for watching my video!
A like, a sub, and a comment for the algorithm. I looked everywhere to see what the tang looks like inside the handle. For $18 you could be the 1st one /w this video.
@@shazzzam79 thank you so much! I truly appreciate your time and generosity. I also appreciate the advice. A video will be on the way!
As always perect/
My only complaint was that the blade needs to be a little longer for the size of the handle.
@@michaelcervantez3570 I can see that. Some people prefer a longer blade. For most tasks, I found it to be ideal. But there were a few times during my testing that a little more length would have been beneficial.
Thank you for your comment. And Thank You so much for watching my video! I truly appreciate it.
