We were fortunate to find two lovely wild-camp spots on the iOverlander app. At the first spot, a local approached us and we asked if we could stay the night. He gave his blessings and stayed around for a bit, watching us set up camp and curious about our equipment. At the second spot, a father and a young child were busy chopping wood. The child stood with us in awe as we pitched the tent and settled in for the night. Unfortunately, we observed that the younger generation doesn't hold the same values as the older generations, as we were told and experienced. While driving around in Lesotho, we were even pelted with stones on the road for not giving them sweets when they asked.If you're concerned, Lesotho offers many lovely campsites to choose from. While wild camping was enjoyable, it's essential to be cautious about where you set up and always seek permission from locals before using their land.

Thank you so much for watching! We did feel safe, although the locals love to hang around camp for a bit. Just be on the lookout for groups of young kids. We unfortunately encountered a group wanting to throw our car with rocks because we didn't want to give them sweeties. Luckily, we got away.

Hello, thank you for watching. No, you need to take your own tents. The roads are relatively in good condition when we visit. I'm sure you won't have a problem at all. Just make sure with Kagga Kamma after all the rain and flooding we had recently.

We used the iOverlander app to locate the spots, but chat with a local first before setting up camp.

Hello, no, we still have the Amarok. This trip was taken the weekend before our trip to Namibia, and we didn't want to take our car on the 4x4 trail in case something happens to it. So we hitched a ride with the family. 😋

Thank you so much for watching. I'm glad you loved it! All the places we stayed at had something unique to offer, so I actually don't think I would have changed much. While in Etosha, we stayed at Namutoni for 2 nights - if you are staying longer at a site in Etosha, I would recommend Okaukuajo. If you are fishing, we got our permits in Henties, Swakopmund unfortunately couldn't help us. The only places we booked at were Klein-Aus Vista (our first 2 nights in Namibia), Sossus Oasis and Etosha. It's nice to have the flexibility to choose camp spots while on the road, then to rush to get to your destination, missing attractions along the way. The ioverlander app comes in very handy here. Hope you enjoy your trip, Namibia is incredible we cant wait to go again soon. Next on our list is the Caprivi Strip, Epupa Falls and Sandwich Harbour.

@@ForThisLife many thanks we in Namibia for 4 weeks and are going to Etosha for 6 nights starting at Olifants and heading east. We have Bern advised that of all the camps Namatoni is the one to maybe give a miss. We heading as far north as Etosha and if we enjoy the trip will head up North next time to caprivi strip, eupapa falls etc. We however tow so can't do anything too extreme. Keep up the videos they great
