We are a husband and wife duo passionate about camping, overlanding, and traveling around Africa. We love to capture and document our camping trips and travels with family and friends, to look back on and share our experiences with others. Our typical trips include weekend camping trips, and one or two big trips each year, often with our beloved dog. Camping at Vensterklip and Chasing Wild Flowers
A weekend getaway to spend a spring day among the wild flowers at Vensterklip in Elands Bay, a lovely pet-friendly campsite just off the main road. After our stay, we traveled back home along the coast and ended with a little drive at Trekoskraal - a spot dear to us with many fond memories.

is that the road the road that leads to all the camps? looks like it must be 4x4.... my hi rider 2X4 with diff lock would not be able to or what do you think?
There is a road that leads directly to the campsite, but the terrain may change depending on the time of year you visit. I recommend contacting Kroonland directly for the most up-to-date information. You can find their website link in my description. :)

Great video, just a shame they don't show the bad roads if you want to visit the waterfalls in and around Sabie... undrivable... and extremely expensive too per person... per waterfall... not worth it!!!

hi, thanks for the video. do you think (wild) camping in lesotho is safe? I am planning to visit lesotho late this year but kind of worried after checking out the crime rate there… but can tell it is certainly a beautiful country.
We were fortunate to find two lovely wild-camp spots on the iOverlander app. At the first spot, a local approached us and we asked if we could stay the night. He gave his blessings and stayed around for a bit, watching us set up camp and curious about our equipment. At the second spot, a father and a young child were busy chopping wood. The child stood with us in awe as we pitched the tent and settled in for the night. Unfortunately, we observed that the younger generation doesn't hold the same values as the older generations, as we were told and experienced. While driving around in Lesotho, we were even pelted with stones on the road for not giving them sweets when they asked.If you're concerned, Lesotho offers many lovely campsites to choose from. While wild camping was enjoyable, it's essential to be cautious about where you set up and always seek permission from locals before using their land.
