I study medicine and I'm here to regurgitate all of that onto here because I must bless you all with this wonderful experience (it's not glorious). I will not solve your medical issues, but I will show you the more... interesting part of being in medicine as I progress along my journey. I've picked up a lot of things about studying, college, and mental health along the way and this is what the channel is all about :D

How PERFECTIONISM is Preventing You from Studying EFFECTIVELY
As students, we always try to be perfect. Perfect homeworks, perfect tests, perfect exams, perfect grades, and even perfect studying. Most of strive to not leave a stone unturned and a word not read or memorized. However, this is problematic. It holds you back from studying effectively and efficiently. Worst of all, it could be ruining your grades (achieving the very opposite of its purpose, ironically!)

Learning to Overcome Self-Doubt in Med School
มุมมอง 1.9Kปีที่แล้ว
Medicine is hard. The reality is that it takes a toll on all students because of the demanding workload. Overcoming these hardships requires acknowledging the negative emotions and hardships and not bury them deep down. It's a hard process and I'm still learning a lot about it. In this video I share what I learned from the 3 years I've been in medicine. While this video is meant for med student...
This Method Will Help You STAY FOCUSED in Class MUCH LONGER!
มุมมอง 2.6Kปีที่แล้ว

Why NOT Taking Notes Helped Me Become a BETTER Student!
มุมมอง 21Kปีที่แล้ว
In my 3rd year of Medical School, I decided to quit taking notes all-together. I've relied on note-taking as a memorization/study method for years, but I wasn't getting the result I was looking for. Worst of all, I was not enjoying the learning process anymore because it felt like a chore. This single-impulsive choice was one of the best things I did in Medical school. If you enjoyed the video ...
My Cat Helps Me Study for My Practical Exam...
มุมมอง 508ปีที่แล้ว
Okay, this is a bit of a different video, but I thought it would be fun to slap on the camera while I practiced for my OSCE with Miku. Let's just say it went just about how I expected... NOTE: this is not a complete examination and I skipped some portions as to not make my cat uncomfortable (and you can't ask a cat to cross their arm and stand up 💀). If you enjoyed the video and want more, plea...

Why I ONLY Need to Study 3 HOURS a DAY in Med School (and how)
มุมมอง 7Kปีที่แล้ว
In this video, I will take you through the reasons I only study 2-3 hours a day as a medical student. This applies to all other majors and even highschool students! We tend to focus so much time and effort on studying most of the time. The time we study does not correlate proportionally to our grades; it's only one small contributing factor in fact. We need to make sure that we study most effec...
How Studying CHAOTICALLY Made Me STOP PROCRASTINATING
มุมมอง 8Kปีที่แล้ว
In this video, I describe how adopting a chaotic study schedule has made me much more consistent in medical school. I'm someone that cannot follow a study plan for the life of me and feel miserable about it every time. Thus, I decided to put an end to it all. I hope you found the video useful. I got a printer summarised on ChatGPT & then took a printout
How about learning new language like english or etc , you don’t write any new vocabulary or phrases or points ? How could you be sure you don’t forget during review it?
Notes is so f ing trash. Like i wasted all my time writing down than just reading, at the end after writing the whole ass chapter i don't remember, maybe i do but don't feel productive it just doesn't make me feel that i remember that concept. It takes me about 5 to 10 min to understand a concept but take 20 to 30 min to write and i feel more productive, understand more and do smt when i read and explain to myself, u may say to write what you understand but like at the end of the day people like are so lazy that we dont open it. All i wanna say is actively understanding is betterc than actively writing because reading makes you remember longer
I have been trying to fight my brain for so long. I’ve been using time blocked planners and calendars and notebooks and notion planners and google calendar but DAMN. I’m just not wired in the regimented way. I need to embrace the chaos. I’m studying for the GMAT so thank you for getting me through what seemed like a never ending studying rut
Thats it im gonna get myself a cat
i really needed this thank you
You video and what you said told a truth: you never know how to study.
Please make a video on SAT Tricks
I love this video, short and precise to the point.
I took your advice and got an F!!! Thank you so much!!!
My math teacher always told me to talke notes thats where my 80% of mind was going when lesson and today i didnot took that much notes and actually it worked:) danke <3
Thank you for the actionable step-by-step plan. I don't have time to listen to a bunch of theory, but not telling me specifically 'how'. Thank you for not wasting my time.
Thanks ♥️ a lot , i can study with notes and without it from childhood but now it's my habit to take notes but it takes so much time ⏲️😖that's why my study of each subject became slower like you mentioned 2 hrs understanding and 5 hrs notes 😢so i searched for it is note necessary to study and found your video not I'm happy ❤
Kloom 😢 I am very smart I believe but getting organised is a big problem so how do I manage my self whilst I learn chaoticly I watched that video
I realized that too. I always took notes when I was in HS and college the first time. I recently started going back to school and not taking notes and just going over the books over and over and using quizlet. I'm a better student at 35 than I ever was as a kid and young adult.
Its like painting, you paint in layers, but the current layer has to dry before you add another layer. Let some time go by before you work at it again.
I had a 4.0 in college never took notes because its easier to absorb a lesson when your not distracted by writing
Bro, your video is gold, thank you! I appreciate it so much, just come across your channel, subscribed on first video and this is the second video, liked both. You're really awesome, thank you.
Affective today. I’m no longer taking extensive amounts of notes.
Ok. I am a chronic note-taker and a chronic book non-commital...This means I will take notes, and then halfway through the semester, I will STOP using my book, leaving half of it unused. I recently threw away about THIRTY notebooks with only half of their pages used. If I can apply your method of studying and retaining new information, this would help me through grad school and make me an excellent journalist. Thank you, man!
1. Read the last question of the statement first 2. Leave hard questions for the end 3. Go for the simplest answer 4. Dont change your answers-trusg your gut 5. Dont review the questions you know are right 6. Dont review right before the exam
This is super helpful (I'm a med student myself). Thank you
Love your videos, you've got it figured out right
1.Its okay to fall behind. Don't beat yourself up. Accept that you're behind. 2. Keep things simple. 3.Assess the damage! 4. Planning and prioritising. Identify the hours you'll spend and be realistic. 5.Identify all deadlines 6. Be specific babe! 7.Prioritise in terms of time and importance. 8. Action! 9.Change the environment and try to do sth different eg.workout paint draw meditate or clean. 10. Maintenence recovery breaks 11. Don't power through everything. 12. Be positive!! 13. Talk to anyone about it or journal. 14. Don't do it all at once. 15. Start with easy tasks 16. Find out why you procrastinated.
Great content dude🎉
That was a very good example. I can feel better now.
bro i literally owe you one now xd
Kloom! I saved this video while ago. Then suddenly I remember it. Thank you for inspiration ❤
Video was very helpful btw but I feel like I am a hopeless case
I am not sure If Kloom will even reply to this (probably not) But I am a Nursing Student. It has been half of first semester and I am like 7 weeks behind in most of my courses. I don't think there is anyone worse than my situation. Is It even possible for me to recover?
Yes. Do two assignments a day in each class? It could be done in a week.
woah. this video really came at the right time. I've struggled with this. Glad to know im not alone, thank you for the tips! Hope your studies go well!
Thanks so much! If I need to remember something I reread the chapters to find the big ideas.

I literally regret not clicking on this video sooner but I'm grateful for clicking on it before school starts! Thank you and I will try to embrace the chaos :))
