your channel has been pretty helpful throughout my journey. I started watching you rx6700xt stream tests, but my budget got reduced and I'm trying to figure out where to go from here and low and behold, you pretty much have all the info I need. Thanks a lot, dude.
i just bought this Gigabyte rx 6600 tri fan for only 12k vs rtx 4060 around 19k on lazada so far very satisfied and just bought the extra money for m.2 nvme
I just ordered this exact card. My game library is growing and my RX 580 is starting to struggle. I'm looking forward to the new card's arrival. I play at 1080p and should be good for a few more years. Thanks for the video.
Bought this as part of my first no 2nd hand all brand new pc and its been doing amazing for 2 months, I thank the internet for recommending me this hahahaha
Many people reported that latest driver doesn't do well on some competitive games, particularly massive stuttering and low 1%, rolling back to 23.11.1 fixes this issue, or use beta driver
I'm hoping AMD will fix the issue. Things like this (competitive games) should be part of their QA before releasing drivers. From experience, they seem to be very reactive than proactive on this regard unfortunately.
yep, and unfortunatley, they discontinued it, absolutley love this thing though, amazing at 1080p and can probably run it in most of my games at 1440p using xess or fsr 3.1 now as well, i have a decent 650w psu so upgrading shouldnt be the worst thing either once it is no longer powerful at 1080p, was an absolute miracle in todays gpus market though
@@OverseerPC-Hardware I will play warzone a lot, more on the resurgence mode, Fortnite, CS2, overwatch 2, valorant, Apex legends, r6, PUBG, maybe the finals as well. And on the single player side of games would be cyberpunk, metro exodus, red dead redemption 2.
Should be fine, the only thing that I see would have an issue will he Warzone. You'll probably need to upgrade that CPU to something like this ($152) - amzn.to/3T4Rsti Get this whilst its currently on sale.. you can flip that i3 easy. 4 cores will struggle if you want to be competitive in Warzone.
@@OverseerPC-Hardware I'm from Romania, and I can buy an i3 for like 86 USD. That's why I chose it, and in my country that i5 12600kf is like 222 USD 😢
Hey man! Thanks for the video! I'm planning to build a PC for gaming and streaming fortnite on performance mode competitive settings. Will a 5700x3d and rx 6600 help me get 240fps consistently?
If you're streaming (I'm assuming Twitch?) and playing performance mode, I'd suggest you go for the RTX option for now. This is good choice ($295) - amzn.to/3QlQEic As you saw from the video, performance mode isn't really the strong suit for Radeon. I have an upcoming video with another AMD card, the RX 6700 XT and you will see how it performs then.
thanks. I'm going for i5 12400f + rx 6600 + 32gb DDR4 + MSI PRO H610M-E. Would this be decent enough for streaming and gaming? I prefer the minimalist approach to streaming, so I won't have fancy overlays and that many background programs running. Just chat overlay, camera, and music.
Should be good enough for you bro. I would probably change the motherboard to something like this - amzn.to/4cywTMK It's an additional $20 but this gives you better VRM performance and features when your needs do change say when you want to upgrade your CPU in the future. 👍
Hey Man, I Was A Little Tight On Budget So I've Ordered A Custom Built PC That Has R5 5500GT And Rx 6600.. Do You Think It's Capable Enough To Serve Me Well In Upcoming Years?
Hi bro, that should be fine for a while. However, I would probably swap out the CPU to something like this in the future - amzn.to/3W0yS7d Although the 5500GT comes with a fancy name, it's not a true Zen3 CPU and can be a bottleneck when you are into fast paced shooters. 👍
@@OverseerPC-Hardware Alright Bro, How About The Rx 6600? What's Your Views On The Card As Of Now? I've Been An Intel HD 2000 And 2500 User For Ages.. This Is Gonna Be Massive Jump For Me
For competitive Fortnite, I would swap the CPU to this - amzn.to/4bH505A And the GPU to this - amzn.to/49aQilP It'll be about $30 more expensive but the performance will be night and day. 👍
I am only using stock settings mostly with Sharpening (it helps me see on competitive games). And also, I would suggest you swap your CPU to something like this ($118) - amzn.to/45qgkk6 The 5500 is only PCIe 3.0 and you maybe losing out on a few % of GPU performance on that. 👍
It depends on the situation. If you're CPU bound (i.e. Valorant, CSGO, Fortnite), you should get 10% or even higher. If you're GPU-bound, it might just be 3-5%. 👍
AMD GPUs are not recommended for Video & Photoeting. I had the worst experience with RX580 4GB and RX6600 8G. Now I switched to the Nvidia RTX 3060TI which is best.
I have tried photo/video editing with AMD cards before, they are generally OK. However, yeah you do generally get better performance with Nvidia on programs which utilises CUDA heavily.
Hi there, sorry didn't get the YT notification but yes you can. Although it would be advisable to upgrade your CPU to this - amzn.to/4aWneiC The 5600G will limit PCI-E
If you're on a base model (without any OC), 450w should be fine as its the minimum requirements. If you do get some instability, you may need to upgrade the PSU however. Try going for something a good value product like this ($49) - amzn.to/3U2NZee

its a god sent of a card, an oasis in today's GPU market.
