The Howling from 1981. A horror movie Directed by Joe Dante and with effects from a very young (but awesome) Rob Bottin. To me this is the ultimate werewolf movie and it's been a guilty pleasure since I first saw it in the 80s.

Buying a box of laserdiscs without knowing for sure what you're gonna get, is risky. Maybe not in the US where you can buy laserdiscs quite cheap, but in Norway (Europe) where laserdisc never hit it big, it can be risky. Luckily I found some discs that made it worth my while, and money.

A real vintage Arcade cabinet costs a lot. At least where I live. Not many to choose from either. So I went for one the Arcade 1up cabinets, hoping this would cure the itch. Big mistake! I love to watch VHS, even to this day. I've wanted to watch Stranger Things and other favourite TV-series on my Sony Trinitron, from VHS, for a long time. I'm using a cheap HDMI-to-Scart adapter to do this. It's PAL/NTSC compatible as well.

In 1982 Nintendo released Donkey Kong for the Game & Watch handheld devices. A 2-screen device that was the early version of GameBoy and Nintendo DS. Donkey Kong is also the first time we see Super Mario. It was immensely popular and through hype, just like on TikTok, it became a status thing to have.
