    Hmmm are they making cars like they make most things: Has all the bells and whistles but not quite there in functionality? I appreciate the honesty and real review, all other channels simply present specs (which I can get from any of the car maker's website any time) and glowing positivity (basically just another salesperson), perhaps to get views 😢
    I don't need a salesperson, I need to know how well everything works as well as the things that are not so great so I can weigh up whether it's something I can live with for a long time given the price point.
    Please keep up this approach of showing us how well everything works.

    Hyundai with same size battery and equipment cost 2 times more in my country and yes you dont get bigger range in them .For sure not best car but now nothing better for the money .I have 2 BMWs (diesel X5 and petrol cabriolet ) and i love that 2 cars but almost always something wrong with them and repairs are super expensive (i will not even mention fuel consumption ) .So is more economically to just watched them in yard ,drive them sometimes and drive this cheap car as daily

    In regards to the NRMA chargers you can activate them with a Chargfox RFID card or just use the Chargefox app. Chargefox calls this “roaming” but it all works just as a chargfox charger.

    Blinking Heck Stu! I hope you're getting plenty of $$$ for this video. Seems like there's an ad every couple of minutes, some of which you can skip, but others you have to wait out. I can tolerate a few ads, but this is a new test of tolerance.

      Ah sorry to hear that. Ad placement is not something I've every tried to manage but I feel your pain. I'll see what I can do. And on future vids. My son recommends ad blockers. Not sure I entirely agree with the statement on EV vis ICE fires. Statistically you are correct, but what are the circumstances? Age of fleet, market share, weapon of choice. Revisit in 5 years time and let’s see. I know what sort of fire I would want to fight, if I had to.
    As for leasing, would a buyer intend to keep an EV for more than 3-5 years normally, or would they turn it over in that time frame anyway (lease or not)? Is this a good thing? Make me understand. Just saying.

    • @inCARnationAustralia
      @inCARnationAustralia  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They are both fabulous. For me the extra 50kW of the i30N is worth it. In the i20N you know the chassis could handle more grunt. Hatch for me. Also just be aware of the fuel pump issue that affects some i20Ns. Easy fix but needs to be addressed.

    Which budget electric car would you recommend buying in Australia?

    • @inCARnationAustralia
      @inCARnationAustralia  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      If you're a sporty oriented driver, I'm still a fan of the MG4 as value for money ever since the crazy price special they did in October. Even the entry level Excite 51. Worth shopping around for best price. Some dealer demo cars are well under list price. But if performance isn't a priority for you, I do like the BYD cars for their quality interiors and features. I haven't driven the GWM Ora yet, but it's also really sharply priced. A bigger car than it looks in photos.

      Thanks. I got just 50kW at the Hunter Valley, which is I think the limit of that machine and also 50 kW at BP Asquith, where I was sharing a charger with another vehicle. The car is rated at a modest 80 kW max.

      It has a few redeeming features and it's reasonable value for money, especially if you can lease. So I can't be critical of your decision. Was I too harsh? Was I wrong about the interface? Can you find an equaliser (I think there's one on the EX but couldn't find it on the BX). Do you use the regen and is it as bad as I suggest? Love to hear your feedback.

    • @teslabot6517
      @teslabot6517 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @inCARnationAustralia I haven't picked it up yet. I get the BX late next week. I got it for teaching my son on his Ls and then as a gift when he gets his Ps. It has a centre head clash airbag and an LFP battery- which were on my list.
      I don't know as much as u about cars so maybe that is why I quite liked the drive. I will rewatch ur vid when I pick it up but for what's it worth, my Seal was off limits to my wife until it received an in-house software update- and then it was near perfect. I can see that happening with the E5.

    • @inCARnationAustralia
      @inCARnationAustralia  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      By law in my state there are only a few functions that one is allowed to adjust on the screen while driving. Legally speaking one has to pull over to adjust things like Regen or lane keeping assist, unlike cars that provide button, switch or paddle-driven functionality. So you're not actually allowed to adjust a lot of these things while driving - which somewhat hurts their usefulness. Adding voice command funcationality that worked would be a help.

      I would love to but believe it or not we haven't reviewed an Atto 3. Based on my experience with the BYD Dolphin though, which has a very similar user interface, I can vouch for the BYD in that regard. Based on what I'm led to believe, the road dynamics of the Chery might be a little bit better. But I don't know. I'll grab hold of an Atto3 and let you know.
