I know it gets a lot of hate, but I really, really love The Future Bites...

Saw them live, i bought instantly the album. I fell in love during that concert.

My ranking: worst to best - The future Bites, Harmony Codex, To The Bone, Insurgents, Grace For Drowning, The Raven and Hand. Cannot. Erase.

Hand Cannot Erase is number 1 for me too. Especially the 5.1 dolby mix is mindblowing!

No 1 - Grace For Drowning

This is the first time that I agree in every position in a list created by someone else. HCE is the masterpiece of SW entire career. Love this album! And To The Bone aged very well, I think I didn't like it so much on my first hearings just because of the expectations that I had after Raven and HCE. But nowadays I enjoy listening this album.

I absolutely loved The Harmony Codex. I quite liked The Future Bites, actually. Looking forward to the next one. Edit: I took against Hand Cannot Erase, because of the plagiarism of St Etienne's "Over The Border" from Words and Music (2012).

Love Steve Wilson Hand cannot Erase 10/10 one of the best albums of the last 40 years

Have all up to and including to the bone, saw this tour concert. Hand, cannot, erase is best, but raven is close second.

I really love Man Of The People from The Future Bites.

I know you mentioned it, but I’ll expand on the fact that Guthrie Govan is what puts the top two albums at the top.

To The Bone. Future Bites. HCE. Harmony Codex. Raven. Insurgentes. Grace For Drowning. Controversial probably, but for me, I prefer his less proggy moments, & instead, prefer his more "straight forward" simpler structured songs

I love Hands Cannot Erase as much as the next SW fan, but I'm a Raven man.

I always enjoy your videos. Though I love hand.cannot.erase and The Raven the most as well, I'd reverse them, as Raven ranks among my top ten or maybe even seven albums of all time...along with Deadwing

To The Bone, The Future Bites, The Raven, Harmony Codex, HCE, Grace, Insurgents. A bit unconventional probably, but that is my taste.

Insurgentes is my favorite. Love the sound and the vibe of that album throughout. The rest would be The Raven That Refused to Sing > To the Bone > Hand Cannot Erase > Grace for Drowning > The Harmony Codex > The Future Bites. Looking forward to The Overview, but nervous about the fact that there are only 2 tracks. Could be really good or could be really bad.

Omnerod, An Abstract Illusion, Parius and Nospun blew my fucking mind, because I didn't know anything about these bands before listening to them

Hand Cannot Erase would have to be in my top 5 albums of all time. It's one that I just never tire of hearing. Guthrie Govan's work on both this and Raven are spectacular but on Hand Cannot Erase I feel he took it to a new level. The whole band just worked so well together and made these very special and even though Steven is a genius I feel he lost quite a lot when Guthrie and Marco stopped playing on his albums.

Hand Cannot Erase probably is my favourite as well. I love all his albums, but the theme, and overall concept and sound of this is just fantastic. Routine (one of my all time favourite songs) is just devastating, and Ninet Tayeb is the cherry on the icing on this delectable cake!

I will probably check out The Raven That Refused to Sing because I keep hearing it on the radio app that I listen to nightly. I like what little bit I've heard, but I'll probably wait until after the album releases or between them.

Insurgentes > Grace for Drowning > Hand Cannot Erase > The Raven That Refused to Sing > The Harmony Codex > To the Bone > The Future Bites The proggier approach to the first four albums is very appealing, but there's something special about the more minimalist approach to the first two as well that just makes them click the most with me. The last three have more of an electronic/pop approach which are good, but doesn't click with me as much as the first four. Overall, I like every album, and Steven Wilson is one of my favorite songwriters out there.

Aquilus is my current obsession. I'm so happy I found out about the band when they had just released a new album... And what a masterpiece.

Listened to the Parius album and the An Abstract Illusion. Both are outstanding albums. Thanks for the heads up. I was already a fan of Nospun and Aquilus.

I had exactly this experience with this album. it ended up at No.5 on my album of the year list, but I am obsessed with how dark this sounds. the video of them playing at the 2023 Soulcrusher festival is goddam flawless execution and features the Keytar skills of the vocalist as well.... I ordered the physical CD and bought the digital one from Bandcamp for a friend. Utterly brilliant!

I too experienced a 'coup de foudre' on hearing Múr: what a fine band - and a worthy rival to my album of last year: An Abstract Illusion's 'Woe'. They deserve to come right out of the shadows and to be celebrated far and wide. And you, Mr Rhyme Signatures, I love your sexy prolixity. Keep up the good work.

Very strong list. An Abstract Illusion's In The Heavens Above You'll Become A Monster is probably my favourite song of this decade. Iotunn - Kinship & Dissillusion - Ayam would definitely make my top 10.
