Hi there! Thanks for your questions! Disembarkation: You're right, with only 100 guests onboard, everyone could technically be off the ship at once. However, there's a specific process involved to ensure everyone's safety and efficiency. The crew used Zodiac boats to ferry passengers between the ship and land, each holding 6-8 people. We typically board 1-2 boats at a time, and each boarding takes about 5 minutes. This means the entire disembarkation process for 100 passengers takes roughly 30-45 minutes. If there are more than 100 passengers, factor in the wait time for others to disembark before your turn, especially if you're not among the first 100. Landing Trips: The length of these trips depends heavily on the weather conditions. In one instance, with bad weather, it took over an hour to reach land, and due to worsening conditions, we only spent 30 minutes exploring before returning. However, on a clear day, we spent over 2 hours hiking through the snow-covered mountains of Antarctica. Generally, excursions last anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours. P.S. Hey there! Thanks for the kind words about the video, and I'm glad it helped with your trip planning! For your question about car rentals at Gwalior Airport, we actually used Rent My UFO. While the car itself was clean and well-maintained, I have to be honest, our experience with them wasn't entirely positive. We opted for the airport pickup and drop-off, which came with an additional charge, figuring it was worth the convenience. Picking up the car at the airport went smoothly, the owner was on time, and everything seemed fine. However, during the return, things took a turn. The owner requested we pick him up from his home, which was a significant detour from our route to the airport. We obliged, but upon reaching the airport and getting out of the car, he unexpectedly demanded a drop-off fee. The audacity to have him picked-up from home, and demand a drop-off fee?? Seriously? We were already frustrated by the detour, and to top it off, he had our safety deposit and our flight was leaving soon, so we had no choice but to pay. Looking back, it wasn't a pleasant experience that too from the owner of the company. This happened a few years ago and back then there were very few companies offering self-drive rental cars near Gwalior airport. So you might want to consider other car rental companies at the airport as well, just to be on the safe side.
