Drinks With Dave
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 1 มี.ค. 2023
HI, I'm Dave. I spent 20 years working as a professional bartender. Because of an illness and injury, I am no longer working behind the bar (long story). This channel is my personal rehab project and I hope to share what I know as I improve on my journey. I know it's cliche, but life's a trip and I'm happy to be here. Cheers.

You have 1/4 oz of Cynar in the video and 1/2oz in the notes for the Rabo de Galo. I’m sure both work but wanted to call it out. Thanks for sharing! I’m making this tonight!
Another great video Dave I learned a lot, hoping you are well.
You forgot to mention to always shake with a smile :) P.S. i shake my vodka dirty Martini. Sue me! 😂
omg, the smile... 😂😂😂 Re: Dirty Martiinis - Most do, including me!
It's embarrassing how bad I am at stirring ice with a bar spoon.
Nice instruction! Who knew? I like the stirring part it’s almost hypnotic watching the spoon.
can you stir that way?
Nope but after watching this vid I’m gonna try!
Nice
This one took some effort.
This is for the beginners!
That will be my plan for saturday, thanks man 😋🤝
SOME PEOPLE USE A DARK RUM AND A LIGHT RUM FOR A MORE BOLD TASTE.🎉
Absolutely! I had some Dk Rums on hand, but they were not Puerto Rican so I just went with the light. I bet a blend would taste better to me.
History lesson Bacardi is a Cuban rum. It's just produced in Puerto Rico.
Merry Christmas mate!
I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday season and a safe and happy new year!
This was great. Thanks Dave!
Thanks man! It's not somethng I ever had time at the bar, but you really only have to build up a smalll stockpile and you're good to go for months at home.
Thanks! Great channel!!!
Appreciate the feedback, I'm working one it!
Thank you Puerto Rico for Coquito and Piña Colada!!! I use the 4 whole cans with all the tea, and 1 tsp vanilla.
NIce! This was my first recipe, if you double it you get 3 bottles worth. I think blending an aged and silver rum would be great too.
@@drinkswithdave Definitely, thank you for the video.
My recipe is almost like your because mine don't have the spices tea you use. Mine is just the milks, vanilla, cinnamon and RUM
Lots of RUM!!!!
Cointreau or Grand Marnier! Not the other garbage
A Tommy's Margarita isn't a margarita, it is a tequila sour. Margaritas are in the Daisy family of drinks, heck, it even means Daisy in Spanish. By definition, Daisy drinks are spirit, citrus, and orange liqueur. Any sweetner other than an orange liqueur makes it a sour, not a Daisy.
I figured it was time for me to make one of these. Sorry about the mic in the kitchen....I had some issues.
Very informative! Could you share who made your mixing glass? Also, what length teardrop stirring spoon would you recommend? Thanks!
Sure, th mixing glass is here : www.amazon.com/dp/B077SQBHV2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 The spoon is from barfly, and I got that on amazon.. its a great spoon!
I am Puertorrican and that recipe sounds pretty good to me. Good job!
Hey! That means a lot to hear that! I looked at a lot of different versions before I created this one. I was going for authentic. So, thank you!
Thank you so much for this amazing video! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Yummmm. I love coconut. I love rum. The tea part is super cool. Neat way to make a drink.
Coconut loves you.
IF you have a recipe you like, let me know! Cheers!
Classy
classic!
I love an Old Fashioned!
I love that you give the history!
The outtakes are outrageous with this muddled brain. Reacquainting myself with the history as I go!
Some good ole fashioned fun. Happy Thanksgiving sir'!'
Nice bro.
I feel like I need to get all the basic and foundational drinks in , and what better than an old fashion to start with.
Good proper approach. Fun to mix it up with 1/4 oz strong/bitter flavoring like Campari, Chartreuse, Amaro Montenegro, Aperol, absinthe, etc.
A little absinthe fixes everything right up for sure!
Wow really learned a lot as a virgin drinker... I love the classiness of cocktails, the quality of this video and the content is really good!
Thanks for that. Im really sick and things are hard for me because of it so making these videos is very difficult but rewarding. I appreciate all positive feedback.
I appreciate you just getting right to making the drinks!
thanks! im trying!
I never understand why vodka is ever in the chat here. Dirty martini should still use gin, and vermouth. Just adding brine. And never shake it. And use some dirty blue cheese olives. If you’re gonna go dirty get filthy.
It's so strange to me the difference in how the internet portrays vodka vs what it's actually like to work in a bar. - bartenders know this. I'm a stirred gin martini guy, but folks love an over diluted watered down vodka with a half bottle of brine. - oh, BTW, sun-dried tomatoes chopped in with the blue cheese elevates the olives, I highly recommend!
@@drinkswithdave will add that next time.
Can’t understand the dirty Martini: the original is so good!
Cool video 🎉.
Thanks! I always feel like I miss a lot when im done, but there is only so much to fit in less than 10 minutes.
Great thumbnail!
Thanks man! Learning and improving!
It's amazing how tastes have changed over time. Honestly I think a wet gin martini is a better sipper than a dry vodka, but to each their own!
1st day of Fall is today. Seems like the perfect occasion to give it a try! 😎
Just keep those jiggers out of the bar
You're starting to look more like a male instead of a g h a y, good for you
What restaurant?
Nice to see you again
Thanks! I wish I could make a vid a week, but health is preventing. It's always nice to be back when I can tho.
Beautiful and I love the back story.
The same guy invented the espresso martini!
Glad to see you
It's been a while.
Love the video. Two questions. How long does fresh lime juice last in the fridge and how long does simple syrup last in the fridge?
Great question! I would not let lime juice go past 3-4 days in the fridge but honestly, same day as needed is always the best. For Simple, at just a 1:1 ratio Id give it 2-4 weeks. But syrups that are made with a higher sugar content can last quite a bit longer. ive herd people say 6 months, but I ' trust that and my syrups in the bar never lasted that long anyway. IF it feels or looks iffy, toss it, cause simple is... simple!
A friend described this drink to me and i didnt believe it
And did you try it? It's so good.
My cousin started an apiary and I too have too much honey, now I have options!
You could always get wild and make some mead! Good news is, honey lasts forever :)
Which set you recomend ?.🤔
☹ It's not pronounced mishelada. The "ch" is pronounced the same as in the word "check". Please don't say mishelada, it hurts my ears lol Mi - che- la- da
It’s disturbing😂
