Tribute to the climbers that died in the mountains
A tribute to all those brave mountain climbers, who didn't return and died in the heights. Those in the video are just a few, I'm sure i've forgotten a lot of them. May they rest in peace.
NOTE: I do not own the rights of the images (various sources) nor the music (Denez Prigent - Gortoz a ran), so if problems should arose, please let me know.

George Mallory & Andrew Irvine Tribute, better audio quality
มุมมอง 115K15 ปีที่แล้ว
George Leigh Mallory and Andrew Irvine were two English mountaineers who took part in a British expedition to Mount Everest in 1924. On the 8th June, both disappeared somewhere high on the North-East ridge during (or perhaps after completing) the final stage of their attempt to make the first ascent of the world's highest mountain, 29 years before Hillary and Norgay. The pair's last known sight...

No short cuts to Mount Everest base camp in the 1920's, you walked there, indeed those old timers were "Mach Fit from day 1 On their Quest to reach the summit". 3 times Mallory wanted to climb that Mountain. The last report of Mallory and Irvine, 300 feet, 100 yards, from the summit, and going strong for the top. Will the finding of Sandy Irvine's left boot tell a story, ?

Didnt even know who George Mallory was until 1999 when I saw the story about finding his body on the mountain. It fascinated me greatly. I like many others didnt have all the information and then listening to others opinions decided they probably did not make it to the top. However, after digging in to the much of the information Im now 99% sure they got to the summit and I will teach my children that these two were the first to summit everest. This primarily based on: 1. the eyewitness account of Odell where they were last seen at the base of the summit ridge and importantly the TIME. 2. The knowledge that they certainly did NOT follow the modern route and instead traversed below the first and second steps bypassing them entirely. 3. The location of Mallory's body,, site of the accident. 4. The location of Irvine's ice axe found in 1933. 5. Mallory's googles found in pocket. Confirms accident happened on descent as it was evening and sun was going down. Otherwise he risked snow blindness which happened to another team member on a summit attempt just prior to. True hero's.

I hear people say, " Mallory and Irvin were rich dudes looking for attention, fame whatever". Well shit, Amelia Earhart, Lindbergh, Eddie Rickenbacker were ahead of their time. They were the grandparents to modern aviation. I think Mallory did hit the summit only reason Sir Hillary says no is he wants the credit, think about it.

I always think about this in my mind: they had the choice to either survive but not reaching the summit or reach the summit, die and no one will ever know they were ob the summit. Just a mind game and spakulate what they would have chosen. I am not nativ speaker so dont blame me for my writing skills.

3:30 2006 Vitor Negrete and David Sharp. That's not Negrete in the left picture but another Brazilian climber Rodrigo Raineri , a close pal to Negrete, who is still alive and is the only Brazilian to summit Everest three times. In the image below you can see Negrete beside Raineri. www.webventure.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/foto_49607_2007-12-13_grande.jpg

I know an eyewitness account seeing them at the top of the second step close to the summit, but of course, given the conditions it can be disputed. I’d like to think that they made it to the summit, I hope we find the camera one day.

I feel really bad for Sandy exspecally because of his age, and I don't think he was as passionate about that mountain as Mallory. Everyone has put the hero on Mallory but most leave out Sandy. He was just two months into being 23 his whole life ahead of him. I wish they could find Sandy's body and finally he can be at peace too!!!

I wonder with such little experience of climbing these two did the impossible. It still makes me wonder what was going theough in their mind when they were last seen reaching the top. And i also wonder what they thought when they laid their knowing that this will be the last of what their eyes could see.

Mallory had been climbing since childhood. They said he was the best that is why Mallory went 3 times to Everest. Now Sandy had some experience in smaller mountain but not in Ice climbing nor a mountain that high. But he was in excellent shape and knew how to engineer the oxygen system that Mallory and Sandy used. But even before he was to be Mallory's partner he was asked to join the mountain society that Mallory was in. I wish people gave a little more credit for Sandy and not all for Mallory
