Customs if clearly denoted homemade or not licensed have no issues with but too many eBay sellers passing off fake "customs" as rookies of hottest guys at the time like Mahomes or Purdy so grandparents or uneducated family/friends get suckered into buying useless junk... So don't mind as much in music or non-sports since not as many releases but super shady, deceitful, & unnecessary for major sports imo.

With CT Scan scandal lighting the hobby ablaze does it change your opinion on holding sealed wax like the One Piece? Base cards are safe from scanning but if chase cards are foil & command hefty prices best believe people are going to game the system. Just seen rattlepokemon post video a company has a website & already offering the services to scan.... Ive got sealed mtg from few years ago Im thinking of moving on from outside a couple to draft from with my son for fun but the other stuff id plan to long term hold im not so sure about since its modern era mtg where special foils matter so are the easiest to ct scan for results.... Also outside of mtg Ive stayed away from holding sealed tcg just bc ive seen so many others come & go for big ip like Star Wars or Lord of the Rings that are now selling for pennies on the dollar. I did join 1 kickstarter for tcg few yrs ago for Sorcery:Contested Realms alpha which i ended up selling at release last summer turning my $240 investment into $1,000 thanks to kickstarter pledge extras... I had a hard time deciding initially whether to hold long or cut & run bc an Alpha Sealed could be super valuable however after i did some research checking into popularity like youtube channels & views/comments on those channels it made it a bit easier to let it go & move on. They are still printing & releasing Sorcery sets currently but when I check into the top popular yt channels they still dont top like 300-500 views so if I can give any advice as far as holding sealed tcg goes its be careful & look into the ip overall popularity & the genuine interaction of the community it fosters. Sometimes that can even be deceptive since games like MetaZoo seemed super popular for a couple years to now being practically dead & defunct last I heard... Invest in what you know best. If I strictly followed my own advice I wouldnt have piles of cards I need to list that I could care less about lol. If i could turn all the cards I have no need for into 1 psa 9 sir charles rookie I probably would lol. Being able to stay focused is an ability some of us in the hobby never master especially when surrounded by so many options. But thanks to channels like yours I'm able to talk it out & remind myself despite being a knowledgeable veteran collector/hobbyist I still am just a novice with so much to learn. Thanks for hosting, discussing, & bringing conversation to the hobby prof, appreciate it & you.

The Benchwarmer card brand has pretty interesting history being started & ran by a woman in the hobby in 90s. I cant remember if Id seen a documentary about her or if it was a snippet in a sportscard documentary where Id seen it but it was pretty good & interesting to someone who knew little about Benchwarmer. I think another YT channel TheSportscardProfessor I believe it is does junk wax set best/worst, box opening, & reviews I believe has a decent video on 90s Bencharmer if check out his playlists. Also not sure how the current Benchwarmer relates to the 90s startup so guess I have a bit more to learn. Always tons of new sports & non-sports to dig into if enjoy the backstory & history.

The 1st Batman is on my list to grab as well but too many cards I want & so little time lol. Anyways just a bit i've learned about it from my initial interest; if grabbing the Batman be careful bc multiple different versions based on color of the Batman Logo so some are much rarer prints than other... There are Black, Blue, Red, & Green prints so believe they represent which print run...

No one "sprinkles in the fun" better than you. The last guy that "sprinkled in health & wellness" left us in disgrace. Don't give up. The Show production gets better everyday too.

Also Benchwarmer started back in 90s by female owner & entrepeneur. It is all attractive woman & modern releases do quite well.... I was gonna say surprisingly but really its not surprising at all in this modern society where things like Only Fans is common knowledge & everyone has instant access to more porn in their pocket thanks to smartphones than our 16yr old selves couldve ever dreamed of as we rifled through our uncles stash hidden in a box under 200 other magazines under Field & Stream or Life magazines left behind in grandparents basement when they went off to college or the military 😂😂 ahhh this modern world we reside in lol.

You would take the fourth pack on the left side/back and miraculously the rookie card was there everytime. The position may not be exact, but that’s the way my friends and I recall it. Pretty funny. We still opened every pack because back then, we made sets.

Happy to be the first to comment on your video's every morning. It's a great morning show. no idea on the player OR the card. Looks like maybe harper in a new junk wax to me. If that's the case...I'm sure it's plummeted. Regarding the Wagner 1909 E90-1.... It's fake until proven otherwise. As someone who has that card, and another with the same pose (1915 E106 American Caramel), the cards don't typically wrinkle like that on the back. Fakes have that exact same tell. I would pay ZER0 dollars and probably 7-8K slabbed as a 1-1.5 by PSA or SGC at current values. CGC, CSG C whatever C is a NO GO. I don't even want it as a 10 doll hair reprint if I'm being honest. Trying to get rich quick in this hobby or be smarter than the other guy is a sure way to get your teeth kicked in...

my post office seems to not know how to use ebay standard. it's ridiculous. i've been selling on ebay since the 90's. I know how to ship. there's a big problem with the usps not knowing how to handle standard.

These things go missing all the time.. If i mail 100 per week, 10 of them will never make it.. No tracking updates, fake deliveries, flat out vanishing envelopes.. The seller gets screwed everytime on these things... U can def mail toploaders tho, u can fit a few of them. Card savers are better tho

If you read up on ESE its supposed to be in envelope that is bendable/flexible enough to flex half way around a machine roughly size & shape of a large coffee cup... The article by the company responsible for the eBay Standard Shipping really opened my eyes on what to & what not to risk shipping. Anything 55pt or thicker I go USPS Ground since lost too many relics from being to thick to fit thru automated scanning facility or too rigid to be sorted. If your lucky its stuck waiting to then be hand sorted. So if your $20 & under ESE is taking a while or looks like its been run over by a truck its probably bc it got stuck in sorting machines & had to be hand sorted eventually. Also when ESE actually scans its only at the automated scannining facility so when show delivered its still gonna be up to another 3days to show up. If its scanned delivered & doesnt show up at all its prob was scanned at facility then lost in transit to final destination however it cant actually be tracked bc the ESE tracking# is eBay internal use only & does zero in USPS.

1. You’re absolutely right about how crazy it is I can put a $.50 stamp on an envelope and someone will take it 3,000 miles for me. 2. When buying on eBay I try to see if the seller has an online store front and see if I can negotiate a better price to avoid the eBay juice.

Panini is probably even worse. The exclusive licenses have straight up ruined the hobby. The reason the coin market is split is because there are 2 distinctly different types of coins. You have the bullion side which is for investors or "stackers" people that are following spot prices & trying to buy gold, silver & platinum as cheap as they can get it. Then you have collectors. People that are interested in the numismatic value. If a stacker is gonna spend $2500, they are gonna buy a one ounce gold bullion coin. The numismatic collector is going to be looking for graded vintage coins or stuff to fill out their sets.

I spent $1,650 on two Optic Football hobby boxes that released today. Got two just so I could sell one in a few months and recoop some of the box I will open. How ridiculous is that for two boxes??

My all time NBA player is Wilt! He had seasons where he put up video game stats! One year he averaged OVER 48 minutes a game! while averaging over 50 & OVER 25 rebounds a game. All that without ever fouling out of a game! He would also be the all-time leader in blocked shots, but those stats were not compiled during his career.
