Welcome! We are a newly Wed couple located in North Texas who love the outdoors, and most especially Fossil & rock/mineral hunting! We spend many weekends on the hunt for fossils with our kiddos! (Although, sometimes they don't want to be on video, but that's okay! We all have a blast together creating the best memories and learning!
Long story short, we have both been in love with each other for 15 years and counting!!! Only recently have we been able to reunite; and we have blended our two families together and we just love creating all these memories hunting together as a family! We film and edit all of our own content it is our other hobby that we enjoy doing together. Videography, photography or creating of any kind!

Dire Wolf or Black Bear? Amazing find!

The heat in Texas is really starting to scorch, but we managed to get out on a hunt & IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We found some AMAZING finds, some of which I would consider once in a lifetime! It's not often we get a chance to find some of the rare fossils we found on this trip! Barbara ended up getting a bite from a LoneStar tick, which has been bugging her now for weeks; from this trip. I guarantee she would do it again though! We found some very RARE fossils on this trip, that we have never found in all the years we have been hunting! You would have to see it to believe it! JUST WOW!!!! One of the items we believe to be a Dire Wolf Canine tooth; others have chimed in to say they think its a Pleistocene Black Bear. I am not aware of any Black Bear material found in this location; but I do know of some Dire Wolf. So given that information, I am going with Dire Wolf Lower Canine tooth! At 0:39 that's not a Mosasaurus tooth, I have around 7 of them and that's not what they look like.
This was our first video. It's very possible it's a Croc tooth tbh. We were just leaning but have since gotten better at identification.

Did geology field camp out of Taos. Mapped all those flood basalts in the Rio Grande gorge. Amazing experience!

My wife and I took the grand kids to Post Oak Creek on Monday. It was their first time and they loved finding some small shark teeth. We want to get them to where you guys were hunting sometime in the near future. We've found a few nice pieces in that spot.

@TheAdventurousCouple No! You got all the arrow heads before we got there! We carried out a bunch of oysters fossil and some pretty rocks. Headed out again today!

Was it a Pleistocene Bison skull cap?
@@TheAdventurousCouple I think so - it was awfully mineralized, and measured about 28" horn tip to horn tip. One of the many things I sold that I now regret letting go.

Well, we hunt and study a lot of artifacts. You can tell by both the material or churt it's made or and also the working marks on both sides of it.

I left a comment regarding Lamar Co. Commissioners allowing a property owner to put up a gate and block public access to CR 27350. I'm sure you're aware of this access point. I added great detail to two groups on another platform I'm sure you can guess because everytime I mention it, youtube removes my comment. One is Ladonia Fossil Park and the other is North Sulphur River Fossils & Artifacts (including feeder creeks). I added maps to the area in question and the issues involved. I thought you guys might be very interested in the issue and may want to get involved. I plan on going to the next Co. Commissioner's court and voicing my concern. I know others will be in attendance with me.

@KushByTheBush I'd you're willing to travel a bit Ladonia Fossil Park or Post oak creek in Sherman. For your area download the rockd app and hit the creeks in the Eagle Ford Formation!
@KushByTheBush also Stewart creek off Lebanon in the neighborhood is a good place for your general area

My son and I went a few weeks ago to the NSR. It was our first time there. We found some mosasaur bones, including a vertebrae, petrified wood, and devil's toenail! I would have never known about it if not for YOU TWO!
