Yes sir!!!!!
could you make a video on how to make a beat for experimental rapper Edward Skeletrix?
I can add him to the list to see if I’ll be able to come up with a video!
have never subscribed faster
Hahaha appreciate it brother! How’s music going for you?
@@brokenenglishprod tryina become a japanese rapper, first release coming soon haha
@brokenenglishprod btw, any idea why I can't download "collision" from ableton's site even tho i have Live 11? Idk how to get Corpus
@CodeProvider ayyy that’s sick man. Keep us updated when the song drops!
I think it depends on the version of Live 11 you have. What version are you on?

This is super helpful !! We actually released a song called “Shark Week” a bit ago that was hugely inspired by Lord of the Game ! Thanks for sharing these techniques :)!
Nice work! The track definitely sounds like you were inspired by Lord of the game. 👺
@@brokenenglishprod thanks dude! Def going to use your tips when making more !! Rly appreciate you checking it out :)!

Yo! No problem man! I’m glad that it helped you in your music production career. You making something inspired by the goat?
lmaoo the white noise does work i know its an old video but if you wanted to get rid of the noise u could resample it and then put a gate
hahaha yea that could work. But i feel like the white noise makes it better almost haha
COOL ASF
Thank you brother!
Bro that sounds fucking killer, did you ever release a full version of it?
hahaha i released as a beat for sale. you can check it out here: www.beatstars.com/beat/interview-death-grips-type-beat-11821954

no, there is no correct order for pedals in shoegaze and often reverb and delay are up front. don’t box people in, the whole genre is about experimenting
Thanks for the insight. Wasn’t trying to box people in.

Honestly, there are loads of really good free ones on reddit that you can look for.
man tbh I miss ur how to vids with your original beats always got me inspired
Yooo I still make videos like that haha. The most recent one is me making a beat in 6/8 instead of 4/4
Love Peggy and this beat! also how do you get your samples in ableton?
what do you mean by this brother? I just drag them into the DAW from my downloads folder haha.
@@brokenenglishprod I was just wondering how you download the files so they can be used in ableton as a sample. I've heard that some people use the youtube to mp3 converters. Just curious as to what will provide the best audio quality really.
@@mrjeffryson4449 ahh haha yea I normally just use youtube to mp3. If you really want high quality shit maybe Soulseek can be your best friend.
thank you
No problem! Hope you learned from the video brother!
Thanks Ken! I'd request Evil Giane and Sporting Life

King Krule is absolutely precious to modern music. He gives me faith in alternative music
I agree 100% for sure!
could you break down the music of 'spor' (feed me's older drum and bass/neurofunk alias)
Hey bro, I’ll add him to the list!
the pale tamei/steel mogu series is what got me into him, his music completely blows me away and years later i'm still picking apart some of his older compositions. really great overview of his style dude!
That series is what got me into him as well. It was an awesome album EP run that he went one holy shit. Which song is your fav?
@@brokenenglishprod new vectors definitely, the metallic percussive elements just scratch an itch that not many other artists do. check out his vid with boiler room 'crowdsourced', i'm thinking the demos from that session were morphed into Clear/Steel.
Yeah I religiously watched that video a few years ago. It was mad seeing him create insane beats in such short amount of time
@@brokenenglishprod he's flying around reason like it's his own body. i love peeking behind the curtain because everyone has their own shit that just impresses you.
Holy shart I love tidal memory exo this video gonna eat
Hope you enjoyed and learned from the video brother!
there is no peggy type beat. that's the thing. compare grimy waifu from cornballs to 1488 from veteran. 1 year difference, completely different production.
Yes I agree with this. I was mainly talking about Scaring The Hoes in this video.
@@brokenenglishprod no offense btw. good work
Yeah bro no worries none taken. Appreciate you for sharing your opinions and watching the video!
Hey Mr. Ken! Have you ever done a video on the difference between Western music and Asian (mostly Chinese) music notation. I can't read music very well. but instead of a staff, I find the, I'll call it Chinese, way of writing things out like A# +6, - 3, + 2, etc a lot easier to comprehend. That's over simplified, but I think you get it.
I have not made a video about that. That’s a pretty good idea. I’ll start my research to see what’s there to talk about. Thanks for the idea Frank! Unfortunately, I’m not quite sure on what you mean by the numbers. Are you referring to semitones by any chance?
@@brokenenglishprod I don't know if this link will post: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numbered_musical_notation
@@artkincell thank you FRANK!
VERY COOL MY FRIEND
Thank you kind sir!
super cool
Thank you!
YAY!
YESSIR!!!!
The word "shoegaze" came from the shitty guitar players playing through so many pedals live, they had to keep staring down at their feet to get that big sound from their (sometimes multiple) pedal boards. It literally looked like the players were gazing at their shoes. I went to a small show in NYC in the early 90s and I couldn't tell what the guitarists looked like because all I saw was the tops of their heads. #oldmanmemories Great track! The bathroom scene I was waiting for a Psycho movie moment. Nice Golf dude. I'm a VW guy from way back even though I currently drive a Toyota. My son has a Jetta TDI he loves!
hahahahaa yup. I guess I forgot to mention that part of why it was called Shoegaze. Thank you! I've driven this car for a few years at this point.

The anyone trying to replicate the drums - I think his most common polyrhythm is a 4:3, was trying to figure out how to get that sound for a while and got it down tonight, I would recommend watching some real drummers drum it as well to understand it better, but 4:3 feels right
Wow this is such an awesome comment that provides a lot of value. Appreciate the time you took to state this. What did you do in the end that helped you with getting a grasp of using polyrhythms in your music?
@@brokenenglishprod I’m still pretty amateur at using them tbh but it was watching how drummers implement different ones into songs, because they would play the ones that actually sound good and explain afterwards most of the time, helped me get a feel for what type of groove I could go for if I did certain things etc
@@TitanDCSGO any specific videos you watched that you can link? I would love to watch them too!

Alright! I’ll add them to the list!
Not really fat to be honest, but it stands out more for sure.
Ah mb man what would you suggest to ppl to add on to this?
@@brokenenglishprod more low end. You can adopt multiple techniques like: 1. an eq boost before a limiter 2. turning down the base knob on the saturator to preserve lows 3. lowpassing/hishelving the midrange and then turning the whole volume up
@@marcobiraghi yea I did show an eq boost to the group before a limiter. Will definitely try playing around with the bass knob on saturator. Thanks for sharing!
@@brokenenglishprod the EQ boost you've shown is too light and the compressor is too much work to set up, just go with the stock limiter with a short release, as long as it doesn't distort.
@@marcobiraghi thanks for the tips brother!
Great job!
