Bro really broke it all down.
Yessir! Did you learn from the video?
George Clanton inspired me to make my first vaporwave-ish album and im thankful i found his music!
link the album here brother. I would love to take a listen!
Link the album plzzzz
Hope you all enjoy. Some definite GC vibes at times while also doing more experimental approaches at times

yoooooo this is dope. I finally got around to listening to the album.
@@brokenenglishprod Wow thanks so much! I appreciate you taking the time to listen. Getting ready to drop a new EP called "Fresh Squeezed Jams Vol. 1" and I'm excited to share it!
George has uploaded some project breakdowns in logic on the George clanton fan club bandcamp. Highly recommend if anyone is more interested
Agreed!
what holy shit how have i not seen that, thanks for letting us kno !
Been looking for a video like this for so long thank you !!!
Thank you for watching! I hope the information proved useful to you!
This is so helpful especially all the samples you found for us, thanks so much
not a problem! shout out whosampled
This is one of your best tutorials right up there with the Mid-Air Thief vid!!
Thank you! Stay tuned for a surprise if you loved the Mid Air Thief one!
Man I love George Clanton thank u for this
yo thank you for watching! I hope it provided you with lots of valuable information!
100% Electronica, Bad Dreams, Heartbeats, George+Nick Hexum, 200% Electronica, virtua.wav, Lord Amen, Further, Don't Call Me Yours, Dance Decree, and Summer Night...
George has been making music a long time under a handful of project names. Highly recommend giving literally everything he's done a listen. He's done a lot more than breakbeats and 90s synths.
Not to mention running a label and merch store.
thanks! I will go through them in my own time!
you do great videos on interesting artists man, keep it up
Thank you very much Kevin! Did you learn from the video? Are there any improvements this video needs?
Yeah thank you! That was great
You’re welcome! :) I’m happy you found value within the video.
Another Ken classic! You make the coolest, most thorough videos.
Yo thank you very much man! Hope you learned from this video as well!
@@brokenenglishprod I totally did. And thanks for the drum break folder - lots of heat there.
@@brokenenglishprod Also would love a Four Tet, Caribou, or MIKE (the rapper) video 😎
@@andreiadipaolo3238 all that them to the list as well!
the other secret - he runs everything through the "vinyl sim" effect on a roland 404
Ohhhh damnnn. Makes sense! Thanks for sharing! Do you mind telling me how you know this? I know he has a 404.
@@brokenenglishprod If I remember right, that effect has knobs for warping (the vibrato pitch effect that makes it sound old), noise as well as vinyl crackle. If you're familiar with the 404, you can identify the sound of the effect and rate of the slight pitch vibrato. Also you can see him using the 404 for ESPRIT sets online, and sometimes the effect is disengaged on the samples that he uses, but typically is always on. He uses nearly the exact same set of samples in ESPRIT and most Clanton solo albums. I wouldnt be surprised if he sends his full mixes through this effect as well.
He’s back !
Thanks to you brothe
Would be really cool if you cover the production of breakence or jockstrap
I’ll add both of them to the list!
Nice
Thanks!
Your channel is a gem, please keep it up :)
Would you be able to cover saya gray or sampha ?
I'll add them to the list!
sampha would be sick
This my favorite artist of all time
Ayyyyy hope you learned from this!
He is my favorite from the 2010's. My all-time favorite is the band whose shirt George is often wearing, also his favorite 😉
KENNY!!!! Great video! You were missed, at least by me!
He approaches music composition that same way I do.
AND! Ever notice how many early 90s songs had that same "When the Levee Breaks" drum part re-imagined? I'd guess the actual number to be 'tons and tons.'
I just BOUGHT a CD (!!!!!!) of an out of print Fantastic Plastic Machine out of 1994 (I think). It's wild!!!!! Muddy production! Levee drums! It's fantastic!
Currently listening to Sandwich Fail and old Kraftwerk stuff, but studying Daphne Orram and Steven Reich.
Frankkkk!!! What’s up buddy? It’s been a while huh hahaha. I will make a slow and steady return don’t you worry.
Was focusing on other aspects of my career hahaha.
Damn how do you find all these weird purchases haha?
Also how have you been?
@@brokenenglishprod Me? I've been living- that might be a good thing.
AND! I listen to EVERYTHING. That's my advice for younger producers. Even though the music might not be of their tastes, there's still some value in learning different ways different sounds are made. Listen to other types of music to learn where holes are made in the texture of the song's landscape to punch in some extra emotion.
Good to "hear" your voice again. You have a lot of excellent knowledge to share.
@@artkincell ayyy that's the same advice I try to tell as many people as well!
Wasn’t familiar with George but this is cool af
Thanks brother! Happy to be able to show you something you like!
I need to get my eyes checked. I thought it said "Clinton" LMAO!!! carry on.
Common mistake hahahaha
No fr I was so confused. Like this is NOT George Clinton
is there any chance you could cover daniel ceasar and specifically his latest album never enough?
I’ll add him to the list as well!
The drum break drive line doesn't work anymore. Would it be possible for you to reupload it?
Yes I can! Will update you again once it’s up. Am currently out of the country rn haha
@@brokenenglishprod Thank you! Can't wait to throw them into FL

What happened to your finger? 6:01
OH HAHA! At the time, malaysia was going through our gov voting. I went to vote that year. Biggest waste of my time.
doja cat agreed, new scarlet album is very underground sounding.
Awesome awesome! Looking forward to analysing her music then.
One mistake I’ve learnt is that my 808’s were out of key !
Doja Cat next please
Interesting recommendation. I’ll add her to the list!
y’all still haven’t discovered drum breaks? lmao
there are new producers every day brother
