Honda Rebel 1100 Rear Rack
In this short video, I show my new Honda OEM rear rack installation. Honda calls it a rear carrier. I ordered it in March, and it finally arrived in mid-August. It is a very good quality, and very easy to install. I intend on using it to mount my new Givi V47 top case. If you have any questions, please post a comment. Thanks!

Hello: I just bought the 2021 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT motorcycle, and it is a great machine! I live in Florida, so I'm able to ride most days - if it is not raining. The bike is probably the best, most modern cruiser on the face of the planet. I'm an amateur with videos, but I wanted to post this as most people are hungry for new content about the new Rebel 1100. Enjoy!

Just reading this (7/024) - On your first service the dealer probably reinitiated the dct transmission. If you know the sequence you can do it yourself. Makes everything nicer.
What model Puig windshield is that? You said universal touring, do you have a number please? Thanks

Think you’re wrong about not being able to close off top vent. Other videos shows you can, important in cold climates.

Did the windshield make any difference on wind noise in your helmet? If so, perhaps you can provide the puig number?
I bought one of these and found the wind noise totally unacceptable. It looked good and had good ventilation, but anything above 30 mph and the wind noise is deafening!

Thanks for Sharing . One question...is the visor on the i30 the same or larger than the i33? I own a i33 and love the lenght of the visor, but i think i30 is a good option to replace it... Thanks in advance

I'd bought this windshield after seeing your video and just completed the install. Thanks for your very clear instructions; glad to avoid the frustrations you encountered. Have already taken a few freeway rides, it's really made a big difference.

Your motorcycle is very nice, use it in good days.
what possible reason could it come with bar ends???
I have no idea. I guess if they fall out?? Ha ha
These are heavier bar ends to stabilise the front end and counterbalance the rear rack load.

@@larifari4371 I did have a sea lion on it the other day. Ha ha. 😁. Honda has the accessory manuals on their website, so give that a go. Happy riding!
Greetings, is the sun-shield ok to be used with eyeglasses?
You should be able to wear glasses u see the sun visor. There is plenty of room.

@@MateiRadulescu1 It's a little tight, but yes. I'd take them off before removing though. Usually I take them off both ways-- on and off.

Finally someone who tells that the dct is a better way to shift and that you don’t have to be disabled to want one. Shifting manually gives me nothing. I can do it with ease but it just seems pointless to me. It’s like a choke or kickstart, why the hell would you want that? 😂 for character? People who say that also has all the commodoties in their cars but somehow it’s all different once they’re on a motorcycle. Also, they think manual gearboxes are so good that people who doesn’t agree with them must be disabled. Yep, that must be the only explanation..😁
Right. DCT has been great for me.
Jeff got the 10B Intercom to work with the i30 helmet. Thank goodness for TH-cam video explanation on install and pairing. Works well so far.

@@JeffKasson I must be a copycat. I have your windscreen and your helmet. I live half the year in Arizona. If I lived closer to Florida I would drive my 1100 red manual to visit. Take Care and thanks for the advice.

Did you ever consider the Sena B10 that works with this helmet?
I’m sorry - I don’t know what that is. If it’s audio, I might be researching it down the road
@@JeffKasson Yes if you wish sound from your phone or directions the Sena 10B will fit in the i30 helmet. I don’t know if the mic will work because the i30 isn’t full face, lacking a place to put the mic. I would like the system for listening to music or more importantly for turn by turn directions with google maps.

Finally installed the windshield. I didn’t cut the bars and the final install is a bit higher than yours off the headlight. It looks like at my height the wind will miss my i30 visor and hit the top of the helmet. I very much appreciate all the great advice.

Jeff do you remember if you used the 22mm or 26mm spacer when you installed your windshield? I’m doing it today following your assistance.
I don’t recall using any spacers. The clamps were direct plastic to handlebar. I did end up cutting about 3/4” off of the bars to lower the height of the windshield. I’m a short guy.
@@JeffKasson Maybe the spacers are an addition. They are made to fit within the clamp. I will try them both. I’m 5’9” I will try the windshield first without cutting posts. Looks and feels like a good windshield. PS Like your rear rack. PS2 My 1100 is a manual and it has super sensitive throttle in Standard/Sport mode. Far different than my Rebel 500. Thanks
@@gc6854 I don’t think you’ll need to cut the bars. You’re right, the throttle is sensitive. Let me know how it goes!

I’m sorry - I don’t know what a pin lock insert is, and I don’t know the weight.
@@JeffKasson ahh, okay. It's the anti fog insert that locks into the visor. If there wasn't one in the box, then I doesn't sound like one came with it! Thanks for the reply 😊

The visor goes up/down easily, but I do have to push the side slider kind of hard. It was easier when the slider was on the top of the helmet.
@@JeffKasson Yes I agree with the side control stiff. Mine sticks lifting main visor but I can live with it. Good recommendation. This is a tight fitting helmet but if I had purchased a larger size it would be too loose. I just drove my 1100 for the first time yesterday. Wow superior to my Rebel 500.
@@gc6854 the 1100 is so darn fast. I love it.
Not sure if you've noticed yet but the I 30 actually does have an "open/close" vent..... by sliding that top vent ridge forward or back. Great Helm, loveing mine so far. Still plan on getting a full face though for those rain days.
I found the vent the day after I did the video. What a pleasant surprise. I really am happy with the helmet.
