And I am also addicted to Benzos for my fear .But I am retired and I enjoy every day without pain and a nice experience or encounter especially with you young people. We never know when we are going to be sexually assaulted and it happens sometimes out of the blue. Last time it happened to me I was signing for a delivery and he grabbed my chest. It’s now a problem for me getting deliveries, I get really nervous. It’s a cultural thing. If women are objectified then we are treated as objects. You can see that some cultures are much worse than others. I think the videos of a women walking down the street in I think New York?, being sexually harassed the whole time shows you what it’s like when you’re young. But it never ends because old women are assaulted in care homes. The fear never leaves you. All men can do is feel insulted when we try and tell them what we go through instead of doing something about it. A lot of transgender men are women trying to escape the reality of being female. Lifelong sexual harassment. Oh and if it’s not that then you are told you’re fat/old/ugly. When men started becoming women i naively thought it would be a positive thing because they would tell men about everyday sexism and harassment. But nope, we get men in our sports instead. That entitlement I’m afraid is not a typical female trait. We tend to emphasize and support so if these men were really women they would behave like them

There seems to be a societal contagion of both narcissism and self loathing over the last few years [ are they intrinsically connected?] Might it be that the fixation on the perfect man or perfect woman is making people highly self critical and rejecting their bodies? There are treatments, surgeries and procedures of all kinds to change our bodies and looks that just weren't so available in the past. I have always been teased about being flat chested and having some facial hair as a woman, and I used to hate that I wasn't woman enough. Luckily for me I think, I grew up during the punk era and those stereo typical gender norms just weren't important in that scene, and were actively rejected which helped me a lot to feel it was ok not to be 'perfect'. Sexuality wasn't important in the punk scene and gay and straight hung out together without question. I have always hung out with alternative types- freaks and weirdos, and I feel very at home in that world! I just discovered you today Alex, and I have followed Ritchie for a while and it's great to hear you explore these topics so openly and intellectually. Thanks for this work you are doing and I am amazed at your bravery and resilience. I wish you both the very best. ❤

I don't know about that. Since transsexual health care is basically for profit eugenics there's no way to mention that people who regret their transition or decide to de-transition for whatever reason, exist. The entire concept of transsexualism being something that is treated with cosmetic surgery is based on the idea that the people who do it are certain and happy with the irreversible operations they require. It's very much a case of there being no middle ground.

I didn't know there was any such day. It seems more awareness needs to be raised around this very important issue.

Life is so much easier when you just don't care what others think of you. You can't please everyone, that's life.

Disbelieving in gender is very much like disbelieving in money. You can long for a society which has rendered either obsolete, sure, but in the here and now, it's still a thing. By setting apart transwomen from women based on biological and experiential differences, don't you also set apart intersex women, introducing quite the spectrum of genders... and risk giving every woman their own individualized gender, since everyone's experience is going to be a bit different ? I tend to view gender as this self-emerging performance of fitting in, a kind of "stand alone complex" where everyone acts like a copy of someone else's own copy, and there is no actual original. I often wonder which was first, in my case: did I have a sense of gender before living as intersex wedged me apart from the two poles of attraction (masc and fem) and obviated any identity I would otherwise have endorsed ? Or did I never have that instinct in the first place and then the ambiguity of biology and experience prevented me from pretending ? (as a side note: there's just way too much evidence to the contrary, in the last 50 years of medical literature, to consider that the mind could simply be produced by the brain. We even have evidence that's not where memories are stored, or that the encephalus is required for thinking in the first place... Hence why Chalmers keeps winning his bet against Koch, and always will.)
