Creek fishing , the Greenville Creek , Stillwater Creek, Honey Creek , lower Mad River south of I 70, most of all tributaries into Great Miami River have good Smallmouth bass populations

Dont know if you've been back here, but go 1-2 miles above the falls. Some tanks up there.

Yeah the state of Ohio stocked a lot of places around SW Ohio with Saugeyes, including the Great Miami too.

Yeah man, Little Miami is or used to be pretty good. A lot of creeks and things around SW Ohio, the ones I know of, have been fished to death, well not a lot of good sized fish in them. To catch good sized fish you have to basically go way out away from SW Ohio, to find good holes to fish, the places around SW Ohio, the creeks and things, guys who fish the paylakes have got those places thinned out, for bait that is. I can't complain to much about that bcuz I used to fish the paylakes too, whole lot of damn paylakes all over Ohio, Indiana too and Northern KY.

That kinda looks like four mile or seven mile creek, I'm from Middletown, originally, not there now, in KY now. But I've fished about every place I know of in and around Middletown, Hamilton, etc. some creeks are better than others around there. Been to a lot places just to catch bait to fish in the Great Miami, for flatheads.i usually had to go over to the spillway at Caesars Creek to catch any good bait, there's not much in Middletown, places been fished to death, like Dix Creek, well some places are alright, certain times of year. But I'm an old man now, haven't done any fishing around there since the early 2000's. Even the Great Miami.

Very careful release on all the fish; and nice thing to do.. l don't think that was a big mouth bass you caught first. I use the same thing to remove hooks in the throat -- l go in the gill's and carefully pull the hook gently down towards me and then pushing it out of the mouth and gently pull out my tool and let it go. Fished that spot a lot of times. Caught my first musky a little. Ways down from there and caught a 35 inch one on a 4 lb test.

I’ve had my live bluegills slammed and the line cut as soon as I cast out on the drop at that very same spot while I was flathead fishin. Guess that’s why lol!
