  • Early fall is a great time to throw some topwater baits. In this case, I threw some new lures that I have never tried. It's safe to say that the fish were going crazy on this day! I hope you guys enjoy the video and thank you for watching.

A turtle 🐢 on top water, that's a first for me. Great video! Thx for sharing.

It must’ve been in a pretty shallow area. Luckily he was barely hooked!

Thanks for shoutout video. I’m in the southeastern part of Ohio. This will be good information to try on the Hocking River

You definitely hit a nice mess of fish. Your last sunfish I believe was a long ear. Like putting that grub on topwater, been trying that more the past few years. I like tail down also for the action, took an old river buddy by surprise when he saw me rig that way. Like your day, couldn't argue with the results. Blessings brother

Nice catches. Zara Spooks are a great bait for smallmouth. They can be a bit aggravating because bass do tend to miss them more than other topwater baits due to their movement. Have you ever considered using the ball cap go pro set up? I found it gives me less obstructed videos.

@Smyers Hey I noticed your videos were a lot on the GMR & Stillwater. Beavercreek here. Do you hit the LMR, Mad River, or the creeks and streams in the Greene and Clark County areas?

@@FrankD518 I have not, but have been wanting to. I am just not as familiar with those areas and good access points.

@Smyers Fishing Adventures that's my issue as well. While I've lived in this area most of my life, I decided last year at 52 and now 53 I wanted to try fishing. And then promptly somehow tear my meniscus on top of already having arthritis in my knees and other joints.

I may try that especially when I am on a kayak. I’ll try to work on not obstructing the camera too much.

@@creeksforweeks5690 You do a great job of not obstructing the camera, just something maybe to consider.

Man if you fish a whopper plopper in the great miami river in September, October, November.... dont use an ultra light👍🎣🎣👍

I’ll have to do that this fall. I skunk almost every time I go to that river 😂

@Creeks For Weeks it can definitely be hit or miss there. I try to make note of where I catch them at what time of year. But a whopper plopper in the obvious spots in the fall is almost a sure thing👍🎣👍
