    I can’t get enough of creek fishing but sadly it’s only good here after it rains and it hasn’t rained in forever although one of my bass is the size of all of yours. Texas has giants. Good video.

      There's big fish to be caught here in the creeks, but the majority are smaller. I'll start kayaking the lakes near me soon and hopefully I'll catch bass a little closer in size to your Texas pigs. Thanks for watching!

    I love when the bass stack up in an area and you can catch them right and left. Great video, Bro. Blessings, Rob

      It was a rare day where they were stacked up, willing to bite, and nobody else around. I imagine the recent floods probably helped out in a way.

    gotta love when you find a spot like that where you can catch a bunch after struggling the first part of the trip. Nice vid!

    All those bass sure looked like fun, regardless of how big they are. As long as I'm catching fish I'm happy.

      Oh yea, I agree! It was cool catching a lot of largemouth in a creek. They're sometimes hard to find around me unless you fish ponds or lakes.

    Hasn’t rained here in Texas since June 3rd where I’m at. We’ve had 20 days over 100 already. Looks to be a bad summer. We hadn’t had a bad summer though since 2011 so we were due.

      Yea I'm a big weather geek so I've been keeping up with the situation down in Texas. It's interesting because the severe weather season looks to be shortening, but in turn you get the heat coming in earlier. Not sure which is scarier. I haven't seen a 100 degree day in Ohio in years, but we also barely have double digit bass haha. Hopefully, the fall cold fronts come in earlier this year or you get some mild tropical systems that just bring in some rain. Stay safe down there and good luck with the fishing!

    I’m assuming based on what that one puked up that they were there feeding on crawdads. They must’ve been forced that way due to the flood and the food source. As for the black rooster tail, I’ve realized the darker the water, the darker the bait seems to work. Fun video.

    • @creeksforweeks5690
      @creeksforweeks5690  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea I think the rooster tail was a perfect choice for this spot. I may have to fish more creeks upstream of lakes after floods. Thanks for watching!

    • @TheFishNerd
      @TheFishNerd 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, in murky water, black provides a good silhouette so the fish can see the bait better. Put that on a spinner like the rooster tail to give vibration and flash and 👌🏼

    Years back id always fish creeks and would try to get to where it would dump into the larger river. It would either be really good, or more often or not it'd be a lot of effort for nothing. One spot i must have tried following to the river five times and never made it despite it probably being a quarter mile away at most. If you're familiar with Ohio youve heard of west branch reservoir and the mahoning river. Basically the smaller creek came from west branches spillway. The river is full of walleye and musky so im sure wherever it dumps in is awesome. But the terrain is so bad. Took me 20 minutes to get to my car on the way back from one of my failed missions when i was probably only 50 feet away lol. After breaking a couple ribs i said fuck it. Some day ill get a decent kayak and find it that way

      This is just one of the creeks that feeds the lake. I probably wouldn't mess with it unless the lake is flooded. It's usually pretty shallow.
