มุมมอง 1.4K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
We took a weekend road trip to America's Newest National Park - New River Gorge National Park and Preserve located in beautiful West Virginia. This park is free to enter, and the camping is free as well as first come first serve. We only had a few days to discover the park, and after doing some research we picked the highest rated hikes and overlooks. We camped overnight in our 4Runner on one o...

Kayaking Texas Bayou in Lumberton 😵💫 #texas #adventures #kayak #travel
มุมมอง 661ปีที่แล้ว
It's SO much better to witness the canyon from the north rim lodge. The most dramatic vista I've ever seen. #2 was glaciers in Alaska from sea level.
Yes! We going back to North rim to camp this year!
Loved being there!
Same!
ANY view of the Grand Canyon is worth seeing
Went there and was amazed at this site of the Grand Canyon!
Das war einmal eine Stadt mit vielen Menschen
Been there and done that, plus, all the rest. Why stop at just one spot, when the mountains are calling?
Exactly!
Been to Grand Canyon several times but the North Rim was absolutely breathtaking. The colors were beyond my imagination. It was a summer, late afternoon.
Yup! This video was filmed in end of June in mid afternoon also! So clear and colorful!
DEFINITELY BEAUTIFUL...if we stay on path we are going in this beautiful world WE ALL LIVE IN. THERE WILL BE NOTHING BUT CRATERS😭🤷♂️🤷♀️
North Rim only
🤝
North Rim views are much better than the over done touristy south rim.
100% agree!!
Oh my gosh, I took my wife on our 10th anniversary,So.-No.Rim in July1990, memorable forever! I miss you Jennifer🥲
Thank you for this video. It shows the colors and formations very well. I went to the north rim with my parents in the 1950s and will never forget it. I will never forget the Ute Pass either. Can't believe we were survived !
Even this video doesn’t show what your eyes see its so much depth and color it’s beautiful
I made a mistake in that last sentence. Guess I was overwhelmed by the canyon and my memory of the sparse highways. No interstate system in those days, and we saw the roads less traveled. ❤
I bet it was amazing experience! We love traveling state highways rather than interstates.
It's sad now to look at old maps of the USA and see that many highways are gone. There's a documentary on tv about old Route 66. That highway hardly exists now, but fans of that route are trying to preserve it. The famous song about Route 66 names towns in northern Arizona that you mentioned in your Grand Canyon video !!
One of the most beautiful places I've ever been
We agree!!
Spectacular
🤩
Absolutely beautiful!! Love it everytime!❤
Yes!!
Amazing isn’t it?
Mind blowing!
Thank you..wowww breathtaking ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You're welcome 😊
But you also gotta see meteor Crater. And touch one of the Meteors.. they feel like cast iron .
Awesome! Have not been there yet but planning on. Thank you!
The Grand Canyon is huge, you can start from I-40 Arizona heading west towards Flagstaff, Arizona. From Meteor Crater you can see the beginning stages of the grand canyon for when you look north. Also the petrified forest and the painted desert is pretty too.
Agree! We loved Flagstaff and Petrified forest NP was incredible!
Keep going North towards Utah.. you won't believe it. I-70 from Utah to Colorado is Faaaaabulously beautiful. The views are stunning.
Yuup been there! Thats was our first stop before going to discover Utah! We loved it so much we going back there again this year!
The North Rim closes in the winter time.
Stunning 🥰
America the beautiful.
ARE THOSE “ WINDOWS “ IN THE STRUCTURE AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS VIDEO 🙄❔
No windows just a natural formation!
Oh, I forgot to say...I love your "Don't Be A Prick."
Best shirt ever 😂
Great 4 Runner conversion tips for boondocking! In almost 50 years of camping experience, we have rented rv's, done tent camping, considered buying a teardrop trailer and/or a rooftop tent. But, after much thought and experiencing different types of camping modalities, my wife and I enjoy boondock camping like you all do. We enjoy dining at local restaurants and eating light meals at our boondock campground. We don't have a problem roughing it, but we maximize our hiking trail time by boondock camping this way. Thank you for sharing your tips and keep your videos coming!
Thank you for sharing your experience! We love boondocking!
Y’all are amazing!! Thank you so much, I’m inspired to do this for my 4Runner now😁
Thank you and good luck with everything!
What size mattress did you get and how did you order it in a 6” option? I only see a 3” option.
It should be an option on Amazon to select size and thickness! At least it was when we got it!
Awesome great work!
Thanks a lot!
Great video! Thanks.
You are welcome!
great ideas, especially the back seat removal
Thank you! Easy and very helpful
What' size mattress is that? Full or twin?
Its full size
Forget about the “Save Money” factor, I friggin love those rims!! I just got a 4Runner ORP and I wouldn’t want the “Upgraded Black Alloy” rims even if they didn’t cost me anything extra, love the silver rims!! Lol the Hulkman is awesome!! Best portable jumper starter IMO.
Thank you! Yes those are pretty sweet rims!
What tires did you get that cost 800.00??
Those are General ATX my local tire store had them for about 190 a piece and 4 tire buy discount on top of it!
Awesome video I couldn't find a link to the basket tho?
I am not sure if amazon has any look up rola low profile roof basket find beat deal you can!
Awesome thanks. One more question How do you guys have the spacer (custom wooden frame thing) hooked under the bed? @@sayadventures
@cruzinthruspace its just 2 2x4s spaced evenly attached to 3/4 plywood platform give you just enough lift to be completely even with rest of the trunk!
@@sayadventures so awesome appreciate the quick reply!
You are welcome 🙏🏻
Awesome
Thanks!! 🙏🏻
Where did you get the red TRD off Road over lay emblems on the sides near rear windows?
You can buy them on ebay I just painted mine with res plasti dip
Nice to see a practical build for somebody who’s not gonna drop $20,000 into modifications
Thank you! That was the point!
I bought it I like it
Great video!!!
What if you took the back seats out completely, then built a platform under that part instead, then you can have storage under it.
It is sure possible there are even full kits you can buy online (pretty pricey though) and few TH-cam videos how to built it yourself (does take time and materials and you have to be handy) it is more of a permanent solution so if you don’t need back seats at all do it!
You may also want to consider a button installed on the inside of the hatch to allow you to open the hatch from the inside. It's a game changer. Ground the #24 gray wire on the door ECU (under the hatch panel) through a momentary button and you have your opener.
Thanks for a suggestion! Thanks great idea! We usually climb out of rear doors to get out lol
No baskets, eh? Too bad.
Great, great video. Thank you. By the way what color is your 4 Runner?
You are welcome! I believe its called metallic gray!
Cool video thanks
Where do you find boat fabric for cheap?
We found it at Home Depot or maybe Lowes!
just getting into this, silly I never thought of just removing the seat, that's going to free up space when doing my next trip! Awesome video guys!
You are welcome! Glad it helps!
This is great! Thank you! And I love the simple platform! I need one of these! I'm curious what tired you have?
Thank you! Tires are General ATX 275/70 r17 Be aware those will require at least 2inch lift and little wheel well plastic cover trimming!
@@sayadventures Good to know! Thanks!
so cool, makes perfect sense
Thank you!
Another mechanic on here said you can't lift a 4runner because it will mess up the front bearings, you guys have that trouble? Truck looks great.
We are about 50k miles in since we had a lift kit on and we been on some pretty harsh trails and off road a lot no problems to report so far!
@@sayadventures Good to hear! This is who I heard that from - th-cam.com/video/ZDGAe8DOmck/w-d-xo.html
