    Another amazing video. Wondering how you packed all these in the 4runner :-) Another video for that will help ! I just got my 2023 ORP 4Runner 5 days ago and binge watching all your channels and others who do camping and overlanding (definitely not rock crawling). Are you planning to install a RTT soon?

      Thank you!
      We are able to have all our camping stuff in trunk and if we need more space we use our roof basket.
      We actually not planning to have roof top tent because of price and disadvantages that comes with it such as noise, resistance to elements and comfort of sleeping. Personally we love sleeping inside of the car because of stealth, safety and having heat and ac within a reach!
      Not saying you should not get it just a personal opinion. Hope that helps!

    Love your videos! I noticed you said you close the hatch at night. Do you guys crack windows or anything? First time car camping and I have read many times that you need windows cracked to avoid condensation but it's going to be in the 40's with a possibility of rain!

      Thank you! Normally if weather good outside we keep it slightly cracked. But if its too cold or rainy we just have our rechargeable fans running on full power to move air around and right before we go to sleep we usually run ac on full blast for about 10 min (heat if its too cold outside) to dehumidify an air.

    How do you protest yourself from rodents or snakes?

    • @sayadventures
      @sayadventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Great question! Since we actually sleep in the car and shut all the doors, we really haven’t come in contact with any rodents or snakes while we sleep. we use a urinal in the car in the middle of the night if we need to pee.
      Even when we parked in the middle of a ground squirrels/ prairie dog colony accidentally, we never had any issues.
      But in general, making sure that our food is contained properly, keeping a tidy campsite, making noise at the campsite, and being observant of snakes and such keeps us out of trouble 😊

    We have different ideas of what’s considered “primitive camping”

    • @sayadventures
      @sayadventures  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I’m sure we do and that’s okay. We use primitive camp sites which means there are no access to water, electricity or bathrooms. We also use our 4runner as our camping base. Some people prefer tent only camping with minimal tools and some bring only hatchet and fire starter and sleep under stars or build their own shelter! As long as you enjoy outdoors doesn’t matter how primitive you want to get with that!

      We got a link in description for our tent! It’s a very nice tent for a great price! I’m pretty sure it will fit your 4runner perfectly!
