@sirt3595 I could not give you a definitive answer as I have only used ddt4all. With it just being a tester and not something like mbstar I would suggest not. With ddt4all being free, open source and only needing a £20 adaptor, I would just stick with that.

OK thanks. The price is realy cheap but getting ddt4all downloaded and run with the car seems not to be that easy. I will check it with the testers of my friend soon. If you have a link how to install ddt4all and get it to run with the right driver, please let me know! Best regards from Germany

Thank you. The rears apart from some coding are plug and play. The fronts need small amount of wiring to move the indicators. Kufatec have a nice little plug and play harness for this. A very nice person in one of the forums did a really clear diagram for this to make your own. will find a link. Then a little coding also. I can if needed show how to code these.

When you say application. Do you mean the program or the window on the application does not open. You may need to update your python settings on your computer.

@oldhamringers might sound silly but have you tried discounting the battery for 10 minutes as it sounds like the cars just had a glitch.

@mariocafaro8324 have you tried resetting the head unit? This is done by pushing the home button 5 times.

@mariocafaro8324 r link is a rubbish system and hates life. This system does a whole host of rubbish things. It's a pain but try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes. It may need a software update. Mine loses front audio occassionally then it randomly comes back when I turn the car off and on after a while.

@mariocafaro8324 mmmm. Alot of people have had issues with aftermarket stereos and oem jbl systems. I am not fully aware of any stereos that work with them. Someone may prove other wise but unfortunately atm I do not.

@sandroo34 you are welcome. So the acc and +12 wires did not need connecting in the end. I think they are for additional circuits. Yes I used the blue amp control to power the antenna. They both run at 12v and the antenna draws minimal amps. Had the same connection so I was be slightly lazy tbh but it works just fine.

@@kinghub9919, no mate. I’ve ordered a phone holder and will use maps from my phone. Long term plan is to change the head unit to an apple car play one, if one exists

@kinghub9919 on the oem head unit there is no capacity. The only options are after market head units.

@paullau3288 you are welcome. if genuine oem camera and cable then coding is simple via ddt4all. Of which I can send you the parameters if you drop me an email. If a Chinese after market one the wires are broken down to 4 individual cables. Positive and negative power, video signal and video shield. Is pinned to rear of head unit. Coding is the same. There are the legal ways to code keys and the illegal lol I would stick to taking them to a dealer.

@RebelDrifter it is the genuine sound. When I was driving I didn't have the passenger side window open as well as mine as there was too much road noise. I can assure you that the spund clip from outside is what you hear from outside. I will always keep my videos factual and genuine.

@@mvautomotive7092 it just looked so weird with the camera movement etc and I couldn't see anyone pressing the gas or even sitting behind the steeringwheel. That's why I was wondering it. If you can ever make another video with the sound coming from outside... that would be amazing. Thanks again :)

@RebelDrifter haha I will give my mate luke from urban overland uk the constructive criticism in his camera holding. I won't lie, to be totally honest the BOV is no longer on the car. I installed it to annoy someone in work. 2 weeks later I removed it as until I have the new exhaust and other tuning parts it just sounded a bit odd on its own.

@@mvautomotive7092 copy that. I just ordered a 2nd hand Forge bov on ebay to give that a try to see if the knock-off is THAT different. I have no beef with Luke. It just looked like a camera edit effect. And like I said I couldn't see anybody press the gas or even see if somebody was in the car... thats why I came to the assumption like it was faked. But in a few days I can test out the forge to see if it works on my smart with more sound. I have mine tuned a little bit. Do you know anything about ESP? I am still trying to drift my smart car on a wet circuit.

So with ESP there is the normal method to turn off which is holding a couple of buttons. I know there are people that want to disable it and keep it off so they can run dynos and so on. From my understanding,pulling fuse 15 in the fuse box under the dash has that effect. There was a compangbin Greece that made a switchable version. If pulling that fuse works then make a simple fused switch for that circuit so you could turn it on and off with a toggle switch.

I'm glad it was helpful. Most rear dash cams just plug into the front camera. I would normally run the cable along the headlining behind the airbag curtains. I have a video on an A3 that I did a rear camera too. The principal is the same.

@CafuChrispy there is a small one with the main control module relays. But as they are major circuit I tend to avoid these. A vast majority of people wire the cameras in the same way I did.

Evening. Thank you, hope the video was helpful. With The forge one the quality is there. I know that the ports are sized correctly for the turbo and a lot of development work went into it. With yours drying the rubber rings will not make a difference. Mine is noticable inside the vehicle. I do have a soft top and an induction kit which helps with intake sounds also.

I have a 453 forfour 0.9 turbo. I might buy a forge one then if you think it will be better sound wise. Thank you for getting back to me 😊

@cgabi7 The spark is omni directional, so it should not matter. Aslong as the electrode is gapped correctly.
