I didn't like the tragic direction of the movie as much as the acting and directing was good.

I think the fact that sem Mendes directed the movie made Kate and Sam get divorced.

I love how Sidney Pollack says that people are intimidated by the language in Jane Austen. Really? Because a whole lotta -- like record-breaking numbers of people -- watched The Passion of The Christ. That movie was comprehensible only with subtitles, as the actors only spoke in one of three languages, Hebrew, Aramaic, or Latin. But a record number of people continue to watch and love that movie. People are smarter than Hollywood thinks (or hopes) they are.

😅He is a playboy who only likes women under 25 and he mostly looks for model as long as they are from 18 up he said women who are young with firm skin . He met Kate while Kate was 20 . He doesn’t want to get married so he always breaks up with a girl who reaches to age of 24 otherwise they will expect commitment from him . He has ADHD doesn’t know how to stay in one place ir i e same relationship too long .

They play so great off of one another in this film. They really make you believe it. Great film and well acted by them and the whole cast! The cast really was phenomenal, just every single member. I’m mesmerized by it every time it’s on tv

I loved the movie. I had not seen a movie about the next generation after the war. How difficult it must have been. I did think it was a bit graphic for such a young man to have to do such scenes, but you feel as if you are having a bird's eye view of a real time in history. It is a very moving movie. It was very deserving of the Oscar.

I'm not trying to make excuses , but I watched Chelsea Handler's "Who Do you Think you Are?" She is unique because on one side her grandfather served in the German military and on the other side she is Jewish. Her German (not Jewish) grandmother wrote a book about life before WW2. In this book she said her mother would cry because her children wanted food and she had nothing to give them. Maybe if all the sudden your children are fed and happy maybe it's easier for a monster to take over. Especially when you are in a fight for survival. I have never been in this situation I would hope that I would stand up and say no. Chelsea even asked,"What happened to those that were hardliners against Hitler?" The man said, "they are dead."

This movie is outstanding! One of the best movies I have ever seen!

Rewatched this movie last night after already seeing it several times, and Kate is right: Leo's face during the most intense moments looks nothing like him and is kind of otherwordly. The difference between the novel and movie is that the book goes deep into Frank's motives and reasons for acting and speaking (which is often doing or saying exactly the wrong thing), and knowing that you can see Leo processing these thoughts externally. Tough movie to watch but masterfully acted.

It was worth it for me to watch this interview to hear the word “burden”. What probably fell out in the editing process was that Michael doesn’t “burden” Hannah with freedom at the expense of the public humiliation of being illiterate. She returns the favour by freeing him from the “burden” of a questionable future.

As a bloke, I love this film partly because I adored Kate Winslet when I first saw it. Not only that the film grew on me. As for Alan Rickman... Whenever I watch HP I keep thinking he will say "Miss Dashwood". 😂😊

People don’t understand that things will change. A man marries thinking she will never change and of course she does. A woman marries thinking she can change the man and she never can.

It's weird that eating is a social time for people. It's hard to talk with food in your mouth and eating is kind of messy and gross; It's the only time of day you require napkins nearby.

This book was timeless. It applies to every marriage even today. The breakdown is no communication before they jumped in! I did it three times. To a terrible end. The third one was 25 years to a man i seriously did not know at all!

Can we get DiCaprio-Winslet movie without either one of them dying and them having a happily ever after there is tragedy in Life but there's also many miracles and blessings
