The film directed by Sam Mendes, stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Kathy Bates, David Harbour, and Kathryn Hahn.

This movie is S O Perfect in every way. Charlie Rose is great to see again. The novel is wise beyond its time- relevent even today. I felt like watching a Master Class in Acting with these two. Just incredible acting like one hardly ever sees.
People don’t understand that things will change. A man marries thinking she will never change and of course she does. A woman marries thinking she can change the man and she never can.

Rewatched this movie last night after already seeing it several times, and Kate is right: Leo's face during the most intense moments looks nothing like him and is kind of otherwordly. The difference between the novel and movie is that the book goes deep into Frank's motives and reasons for acting and speaking (which is often doing or saying exactly the wrong thing), and knowing that you can see Leo processing these thoughts externally. Tough movie to watch but masterfully acted.

This book was timeless. It applies to every marriage even today. The breakdown is no communication before they jumped in! I did it three times. To a terrible end. The third one was 25 years to a man i seriously did not know at all!
That is the only movie i have ever seen of yours and i was for the same reason. I had a deep need to know about Howard Hughes . I read everything about him.
I want them married. I don’t even care. I love them and they love each other. Marry!
The timing would have to be right because she would have to be unattached and he has to finally decide he wants to settle down. People make fun of him with his 20/25 year old girlfriends but he specifically picks them so that he doesn't have to settle down. Someday that will change. Then he did say in an interview he wants kids so unless they're going to have a surrogate or adopt she's kind of out of time for that without taking an extreme health chance.

😅He is a playboy who only likes women under 25 and he mostly looks for model as long as they are from 18 up he said women who are young with firm skin . He met Kate while Kate was 20 . He doesn’t want to get married so he always breaks up with a girl who reaches to age of 24 otherwise they will expect commitment from him . He has ADHD doesn’t know how to stay in one place ir i e same relationship too long .

Both of their movies were period pieces, in both movies they were a couple, and in both movies Kate put on an American accent; so their next movie needs to be a contemporary piece, they can’t play a couple, Kate needs to play a Brit so she can talk like her usual self, and Leo should be required to use a British accent so as to even things out, lol

Ce que je trouve dommage dans cette interview c'est que Charlie s'est seulement concentré sur le métier d'acteur et très peu sur l'histoire du film et du roman original. Qu'est-ce que nous dit ce roman en fait? Quel est le message de l'écrivain? Pourquoi ce couple est d'accord pour changer radicalement de vie et partir à Paris, et que l'homme du couple rétropédale et préfère choisir le confort de rester avec son augmentation de salaire Plutôt que de suivre l'idée initiale de sa femme d'aller à Paris? Tout leurs problèmes de couple viennent de là, du revirement du mari préférant sa carrière américaine au détriment des rêves d'aventure de sa femme. Elle veut s'émanciper en allant à Paris, lui veut son augmentation de salaire et une femme au foyer. La femme du couple se sent trahie tout leurs conflits suivants viennent de là.
J'aurais aimé que Charlie s'investisse plus dans la thématique du film en lui lui-même plutôt que de ne parler que du métier d'acteur
