Yeah they nerfed Herald too hard, templar just does things better currently instant burst damage better defensives, even the fantasy of herald is gone we were suposed to have a lot of those beams and radiate damage like you know a SUN, but now its 2 beams maybe 3 and thats it lol

just tested it in beta and sanctified plates is changing from 3% to 6% depending on points added, and yeah blessing of anshe is great but im sure they nerfed it for pvp stuff, didnt test it out but they normally reduce damage of those types of spells so pvp doesnt become one shotty

@LightbladeGaming ion know I don't think it is I be seeing dules and people get their heads knocked off when it hits lol but what I am scared of is nerfing the new shield absorb because in solo shuffle survivability equals win prolly more than raw damage and thanks for plates talent check

At the moment its a bit slow you know end of expac, but they are doing great changes for the next one for both pve and pvp, for pvp they are adding rated bgs that you can que for plus improving how you get gear

Yeah both Hero talents are good, but templar has a bit of an edge on defense

yeah they are a bit annoying the good thing is for the most part they will help you and if you push m+ for score you will see them for very little time probably the first 2 weeks of a season and then never after unless you go to low keys to just farm stuff but at that point youll be able to overpower the dungeon without even bothering to use them

thats true long boss fights are boring i dislike tyran aswell, they probably have to nerf tyranical a bit because bosses will be so tedious

Anvil is a great trinket bis in simulations but loses value if you drop your stacks in dungeons due to deaths, tank pacing or just dungeon layout, its a bit annoying to play around, If you can manage the stacks and reliably keep them for most of the dungeon i would buy it to pair with hoof, on the other hand stat sticks are also very strong and always do their job no matter what i personally use double stat stick trinkets, any of these 3 is good whispering incarnate icon, pip's emerald friendship badge or Ominous Chromatic Essence

Yes im pretty sure mastery will surpass versatility currently all ret paladin damage is boosted by mastery (its holy, holystrike or radiant), in the beta doing some math 1% of damage is equal to 780 versatility stat and 1% of holy damage gain from mastery is 466 mastery stat, that means that mastery is 40% more efficient at giving us damage not only that, mastery also comes with a damage proc that is around 2-3% of your overall damage and will only get better the more mastery you get because the damage and chance scale with it, even if cantrips scale with vers their damage would have to be incredibly high to compeat with our paladin damage scaling as a whole

@@LightbladeGaming yes but holystrike isn't just holy, it's physical, and vers boosts both. Same as radiant, it's fire and holy. And retsastery only boosts holy. So point for point it might be less. Bit it's also boosting both damage types and not just one. Now templars big hitting seems to atm be holy damage and not holy strike. So mastery might be stronger for Templar, but atm herald is all radiant, making vers a stronger stat.

@@JohnThompson-mt9nt when a spell has different schools of magic vers just buffs the spell as a whole not depending on how many types that spell has so a holystrike spell will only ever get 1% from vers not 2% for being half holy and half physical, for radiant damage the same mastery will always buff the total damage of the spell regarless of half being fire

oh yeah i remember the dance one, the payoff for this one is very high though atleast with the numbers in beta the main stat gain is 3 times other trinkets on a very short cd, we still have to wait tunning

I got to be honest i barely felt it with crusading strikes but thats mostly cause i, even with the range we had still played mostly in melee (old habits) the only time i did feel the loss of range was on my interrupt and the range that they give to our other spells is so we dont lose uptime because we can still build hp and spend

After wake of ashes/wings we use final reckoning and to be honest i havent felt the loss of range at all with crusading strikes, i did however notice it on our interrupt

We are very strong and i recommend trying ret out, its fun and you have so much versatility you have answers to almost everything

Well have to see the sims, but having wake of ashes give us wings on demand has very good synergy with hero talents plus our tier set mostly because of multiplicative damage modifiers

we just have the full melee pakage hard to kill good burst and now also great sustain damage, on top of all the tools to get out of any problem, i see a lot of melee complaning about us in the future lol

I think double passive will be the play just to help with consistent damage or if theres a good 1 min cooldown trinket that can be paired well with final reckoning, for now just have to wait for the full list of available trinkets, ill make a video on them when its all released

i think trinkets like grieftorch will also be viable, since you don't pair it with CDs.

yeah its very fun to weave in final veredicts,the dungeon pool helps it a lot

They already did nerf it by removing the talent the gave range to your crusader strike

yep its gone i didnt really feel it too much, but thats mostly couse i play like old school ret most of the time just my old habits, but i do have to admit not having range on our interrupt is very annoying probably the worst part of that nerf

@@thundergodd6086 went into beta to confirm and its 10% atleast for ret, i do remember they made it 5% for holy paladins. Forgot to mention one more thing we can even get up to 12% avoidance with obdurancy if you really need it

I really like Herald of the Sun right now, and these changes doesn't make it feel any worse. More importantly, I think it's the right choice in order to properly balance Avenging Wrath / Crusade against Radiant Glory. With this change you'll see approximately the same amount of total applications whether you've pick up Radiant Glory or not, you just wont get them all at once.

Yeah it was just too op at the start of testing could get up to 10 dawnlights if good procs, now its still very strong just balanced, oh and the last change to suns avatar wasnt a new nerf they just reposted some older patch notes we should still be able to get 3 downlights with radiant glory+ sometimes 1 extra if wings procs

in trash packs because of my legs i always start pulls with around 46%haste so yeah i have a mini drums there
