Car Show ride through 2024
Took my Cruz’n Cooler to the annual car show in downtown Cape Girardeau. Always a very diverse turnout. The Viper and my Dad’s C3 Corvette both took 1st in their classes.

I wanted a solution for moving my Quick Jacks around the shop. I also wanted something that would keep all the accessories in one place so they don’t get scattered about. I used an old welding cart as the basis for this mobile caddy.

Hi, great colour for your corvette. What is the name and the number of this colour. Thanks for answering.👍
why do I have a Corvette with an automatic transmission? Because I like it. What's it to you? You do you and leave me be grumpy man. Why are so many car guys like this? Just perpetually irritated with something, crazy.
Yeah, I was definitely in a mood when I recorded it. The auto comment is just good old fashioned ribbing. But thanks for watching either way. 😁
I went to their website, description says it won't fit AWD 4Runner which makes no sense since you wont need bearing for the 2wd. I emailed them, I still waiting for answer.
They may be referencing the Limited models.
Was there issues with TSS/PCS (malfunction) indicator? Just did mine and am having PCS malfunction? Does sensor need to be recalibrated?
No. The bumper was designed to work with TSS. I had no issues with those systems whatsoever.
I have a 2005 Vet, just wondering if I need to purchase anything if I ever need it towed?
Not really. Just make sure the tow truck operator knows what they’re doing.
The reason you buy a Corvette with an automatic transmission is that they are faster than a stick.
First of all, that was just a funny haha joke to get people riled up. Secondly, I think you mean they’re more consistently able to accelerate without incurring driver error or variation. Because, FASTER would imply that the auto alone makes the car capable of a higher top speed, and that’s just not the case. Are they quicker? Sometimes, but for some of us, the drag strip/bakery/stoplight challenge is not the only metric we measure the fun factor by. Thanks for watching. 😁
@@Mr_SynergyPerformance I can dig it !!
318 in 92 and 360 in 93. I have had 3 but all 89-91 so all LA motors. I have pretty much the same setup but mine now is an 89. I found some turbines like those on Facebook as well. I’m getting conflicting info on lug nuts. What style do you go with? Are They tapered or are they the shank style that tightens against the flat part of the rim
I did shank style. The short (3/4” long if I remember correctly).
Great breakdown. Thanks for keeping it simple!
You re welcome. Thanks for watching!
I've had my 2012 for over 5 years not a bad car not a good car not sure how much longer I'm going to own it. 50,000 mile range begining to experience some issues nothing is cheap to fix on these cars. Junk??
I have fixed an awful lot of little things. But I tell myself all the time.. it’s still a Chevy. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video. I have the exact opposite issue so I'm trying to trouble shoot that but at least I've got an idea of where to look now
You’re welcome. I hope this helps lots of folks. Thanks for watching!
If you use your Corvette as a daily driver, and you live in Los Angeles, you would understand getting an automatic.. Rush hour and Manuels are NO FUN.
Yes. I know. That comment is very tongue in cheek. I have been in Dallas and Denver traffic with my car though.. I survived. (Even though I had Charlie horses in my left calf later). Thanks for watching!
@@Mr_SynergyPerformance I have a 1970 C3 with a Muncie Rock Crusher as well as a C6. I've Ben in LA traffic with the C3... Yeah,, The left calf was toast,,, HaHa. Thats why I got the auto C6.
Thank you! ✊🏻🤘🏻
No problem!
Have a Part Number? Mine went out as well.
Part number I have is 7.22908.03.0. Sorry I thought I had that listed in the video. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tip on the lifting pucks.
You’re welcome. I can’t claim the origin, but they are super handy! Thanks for watching.
I did enjoy the video and learned a lot. You must have got caught up on your beauty rest. Not only were you in a better humor than in part 1, but you are also much better looking.😁 I know by experience that it is hard to be humble sometimes.
lol. Everyone gets to be cranky every now and then… right? Thanks for watching!
I enjoyed the video. Lots of good info. I liked and subbed. You are right you did come off as a jerk., but after a few minutes I actually started to enjoy you attitude. At the end of the video I even liked you a little bit. Enough that I’m going to watch part 2😁
Awesome! I agree I was a bit abrasive at first.. but hey, I’ll own up to it. Thanks for watching!
kinda late to the party but would these fit a 2005 chevy silverado 1500 if i cut them like that?
Well, no, since the 1500 would not be 8 lug (unless it’s a 1500 HD).
@@Mr_SynergyPerformance i have a 6 lug center caps i was asking if the same trick would work on that
kinda late to the party but would these fit a 2005 chevy silverado 1500 if i cut them like that?
Are you asking if the 8 lug centers would fit the 6 lug wheels on a 1500? If so, no. But if you have a 1500HD it should work.
kinda late to the party but would these fit a 2005 chevy silverado 1500 if i cut them like that?
1500HD, maybe. But a 1500 would be 6 lug, not 8.
the other shop that told him it needed a computer was going to fix the npp and charge him for a complete computer changeout. it is some really under handed shop around. sometimes they will tell you that you need a sensor and when you let them replace it then another sensor goes bad and it keeps on. all they are doing in putting a bad sensor in and when you pay for a new one they put your old one back in and keep the bad one to do it all over again with the next unsuspecting car owner
I’m not sure if it was them being shady, or just straight up mis diagnosing. Had it happen with a reputable shop recently. I knew the tech that worked on it. After I told him what I did to fix the problem when it came to me (keep in mind he’d spent many hours on it over 3 weeks’ time) he was speechless. Totally missed a simple fix because he was looking for the complex problem. It can happen to anyone. I think it’s called can’t see the forest for the trees. Or, usually the simplest fix is the right one. Maybe I’ll make a short video on it.
I didn't catch what size tires you put on it?
285/70/17
part number please

7.22908.03.0
Great Video. Thanks
12:00 Definitely something is not right with either the rocker shaft or the bearings. It should not require any force for the rocker to go onto the shaft. It should slide on with minimal effort but still have no play. I would have stopped right there and called BTR.
Bent the rocker in the vice..
You really skipped the most important part?
So condescending
So condescending 🙄
So how’s the review of the BTR shaft mount setup?
Picking up my c6 Friday can’t wait
As a electrician what he said about fuses is not always true. I have seen a fuse for a machine that would get hot an open up, after about 5 minutes it would work again till it got hot. So he says that they don't fix themselves, well sometimes they do.
skip the sarcasm dude
Nice car i have the same car. Has the same tail lights. I love them but one of them is slightly dimmer than the other 3. Any ideas on why?
I would have to say it’s either just a quality control thing or the dim side has a bad ground (causing higher resistance and lower output). Could also be an issue with online resistors if they are present. Get your multimeter out and start testing resistances to ground. Thanks for the comment. Let us know if you find the problem.
@@Mr_SynergyPerformance yeah I'm gonna switch the light to the other side and see if that changes anything. I'll check the voltage too.
Synergy Performance, You're fantastic! Let's be friends and have fun!
This is really informative video, I’ve already saw Part 2, these hints are great, helps those of us who are considering buying a C6
I’m glad you got past my rant and got some good info out of it. Thanks for watching!
electrician here ....he said check the fuses ....sounds to me you took it wrong way....a fuse doesn't have to be blown for it not to work ...could be loose ...could got hot melted connection it goes on and on ....sometimes it is as simple as a loose fuse ...but I wouldn't say don't look there ....
Grumpy dad answers car questions
lol. You caught me! I was definitely in a mood that night.
Good one.
Thanks, you convinced me to not buy a C6.
That’s a shame. It’s really not that bad if you have any mechanical proclivities. Thanks for watching though.
Great video, I can see you have lived with the C6 for a good period of time! I’ve had mine for 16 years, been able to fix most of these items myself
I have a c6 automatic and love it. Best generation in my opinion
im about to do this to my LS3 also i have a BTR stage 4 cam going in with the whole rocker kit and some Johnson LSR link bar lifter to get the plastic trays out of there i am so excited and scared i did everything right but i guess ill find out
Well most gm stuff is that way . If you ever owned any gm product it’s all basically similar and easy to figure out. But if the corvette is your first gm product I can see how it can be confusing
only 4min in.. I LIKE THIS GUY FUSE LMAO
Thanks. I was definitely in a mood that night. Thanks for watching!
