I’m definitely not a linear journal maker. I do basic steps the same way, but once it comes to decorating, I’m all over the place. I know some have a set number of pockets/tucks per signature, set number of tags, etc…I just don’t like to work that way bc it stifles my creativity. Thank you for organizing yourself enough to show us your process!

Hi , new subbie here. Could you give the measurements of the book and the spine please. I’m new to this and I’m trying to get a feel of the amount of pages, signatures etc… for the size of the books. I don’t want gator mouth journals. lol Can’t wait to see how it turns out. I do like the book jacket for the cover. Thanks for doing this video. 🦃🦃

Everyone has their own method but l usually decorate my cover first and use it for inspiration while l am doing the journal - l then cut my pages to fit - l have found a hidden spine to be easier to bind 😊

Lucky friend! This is beautiful and functional, I would love to be gifted something like this, I am sure she will be very happy. Your painting is very beautiful. I went to a Harekeke (New Zealand flax plant) workshop, it was for a whole weekend and we learned how to prep the fibers for weaving and made a little basket, it was a lot of fun.
