I am sorry to nit pick, but in the other episode he lives in an apartment. There was a three-way conversation about him not buying a house. I still really like your stories. It is hard to save them to watch all at once.

“Go away, Mom! It’s not your day!” When we got married, my stepmom didn’t “get” some of the things we did, but I didn’t care. After our ceremony, we recessed and then came back to release each row ourselves to greet the guests. The narthex of the church was small and it didn’t make sense to have people standing in line with their winter coats and such (January in Minnesota). When I told them that they’d be the greeting line with the wedding party, she scoffed a bit because she’d “never heard of doing that”. However afterwards, people were saying that they’d appreciated being able to stay seated until we greeted their row and then going to greet the parents in the narthex before heading downstairs to the reception room. They got to chat with other guests, greet us and then go downstairs. One of my teaching partners ended up doing the same thing when she got married 9 months later. She got a similar response from their parents and similar positive reaction from their guests. Sometimes “I’ve never heard of that” turns out to be a good thing.

What’s so sad is that she’s obviously never been part of a wedding.

Any reason is a reason to not get married. I've been with my partner for 5 years, going strong. We're low key engaged, and we talk about marrying all the time. But we have other priorities - buying a house. So no, we won't get married any time soon. And we're happy like that.

It would be easier to follow your characters if you actually changed clothes rather than just hair accessories.

Unless she has all new invitees for her do-over wedding, Viv isn’t going to get a lot of, “Yes, I will be attending.”, RSVPs🤣🤣🤣🤣 You get one bite at the apple, one chance to grab the golden ring, one chance for a well-attended lavish wedding. If you want to just get married at a micro wedding, that’s hampered by the pandemic, that’s fine. I’ll send a gift, if I was invited. But I’m not coming to another wedding, no m’am, no way, no how, period, full stop, over and out.

This is why you make your own appointments and set passwords so no one other than you can cancel. The amount of times ive seen vids or read stories of people sabotaging the big day are insane. I was even putting it in my invites that if you proposed the day before or during my wedding you were going to be billed for half the expenses. I was serious! I never say anything and i told others i want just ONE DAY for the groom and myself, its not too much to ask for. Seeing as how i was making a weekend of it. Rooms paid the whole deal. I found a house on the beach that slept 25 and was $300 for the time i wanted. Even the house next door was the same price and slept just as many. I planned my whole wedding for $800. (Didnt get married, things happened. The guy started treating me like sh*t and calling me st*pid, so i dumped his a$$. I think he was cheating.)

Omgoodness!! Can't wait til season 2 and seeing which direction you take this story-line.

He shouldn't have let family muscle in on the engagement; he should not have lied about speaking to the parents about finances; he should have already spoken to his parents about the guestlist earlier than the meeting;he should have spoken up at the meeting; he shouldn't have accepted the apology without asking for his dad to apologise to her. Would be so good to hear a part 2 about the wedding drama if the OP would agree Thanks for sharing ❤
