At our wedding, his parents and my mother were deceased. We had an empty chairs, on both sides, with a flower found in my bouquet on the seat. These were for our mothers.
Story 2: "if you've got something negative to say" - we got married on an early Spring evening with the ceremony before sunrise, photos during sunrise then the reception from twilight. My mum's friend's friend (also my mum's friend but honestly mum was closer to the first friend but they were always joined at the hip) tried to force my coordinator to replan our entrance as she didn't like the door being open as it made her cold. Her table was a good 4-5m from the door and while it was cool, it wasn't cold. She called my coordinator to her a good 3-4 times as we were getting ready to enter and tried to bully serving staff to close the doors. While we went around thanking guests inbetween dishes, she spent the entire time complaining to me about how we wouldn't move our entry (by creating another doorway to the building??) because it gave her a draft 🙄
The sister was lucky that the officiant decided to perform the wedding, since the bride was "tipsy". It's a legal contract, for which you must be sober. Re OP's wedding, it sounds lovely. I wonder how many people didn't show because it was so early in the morning.
I had my Dad walk me most of the way and my Mom meet us up front. Cause they both had a hand in raising me and my Mom's knees have become iffy. Then I gave them both a hug and kiss and they let go of my hands. It symbolized them ushering me into the next stage of my life.
the first story?? Really if the bride was drunk (visibly so) why did the officiant perform the ceremony?? She couldn't make up her mind about a wedding date??? Sounds to me like she was either desperate to get married, or really didn't want to be married to this guy. The second story?? OH my the photo of the deceased mom was a perfect way to honor her memory and have her "at" the wedding. People can be so clueless and hurtful. I am willing to bet that her entire wedding was just beautiful!
2nd story...have mercy, people need to chill. I love the fun, random and different things they did at their wedding. I don't love most of the traditions for modern day weddings. And I don't plan on doing half of them if I ever get married. Let people live.
Hello! I really enjoy your. Channel. I don't always agree but it makes me think and definitely entertains. I have submitted for your news letter 3x and have never received one.

Story 2: The complainers went to the wedding to see a fabulous show, and felt cheated that they didn't release doves during the vows.
