The things I would do to have this in my basement

I have one of the original 1940s southern pacific main line spring steel railroad spikes that held the rails down to the ties and they look like a 7 inch long cotter pin those are in the tracks for fast passenger and freight the spike has SP on top

My 14 year old tmcc engine has bad r2L , heard it's nonrepairable, can it be fixed or is it a done deal

R& LHS member Gunnar Henrioulle met Mr. McCormack via US Mail back in 1974 when we sent the 4449 project a collection of Lima GS drawings, from the Western Pacific (481 class, via Tom Irion). We had previously mentioned using the cab ahead 4294 on the West Coast Freedom Train; Doyle was NOT AT ALL interested... He certainly made the best choice! We visited Oaks Park in Summer 1974, coincidental with the expeditionary inspection on behalf of the Freedom Train. The crew needed chalk to mark the grease cellers, and my daughter Diana supplied a stick of white crayon, saving a trip to a store. We asked for a future cab ride for Diana, have never followed up on that... Icing on the cake is the SP&S Baldwin 4-8-4 and 77" driver Pacific in the fleet!

While I haven’t had the privilege of meeting Doyle, I do consider myself incredibly fortunate to have crossed paths with him when the Daylight made its way to Michigan back in 2009

Very nice! You have an incredible layout, for sure. It is amazing how much you fit in a smaller footprint. I don't have the discipline to create all of that scenery. Scenery is my nemesis, which is why my layout never looks 'complete'. An excellent video Keep them coming.

Fond memories of camping at Carpentaria State Beach Park in the early 1950s. My friend and I would walk up to the tracks to watch the Daylight come through and listen to that steam whistle.

I never would have guessed 6’x12’ for your layout. Truly amazing and I’m sure John Allen of the Gorre & Daphetid would applaud you not only for your hard work but for the use of visual deception to make the scenes not only seem larger-than-life but with how much detail is packed in there. Bravo! On a side note, perhaps you should consider adding some catenary for your electric locomotives and perhaps even some boxcars and other rolling stock from Mexico, the Northeastern US (BAR) and Canada (I’ve seen plenty of videos where CN and CP boxcars make some visits to the sunny sunbaked lands of the Southwestern United States.). I’m not sure if Mexican engines have ever visited the U.S. but I’m sure it would be interesting to see an NdeM ‘Niagra’ or an ex-NKP 2-8-2 burning oil rounding the curve for a little visit. On another note, have you considered perhaps enlarging your layout? Perhaps adding a spur to “the outside world” which would allow you to add more industries and the like for your railroad?

4:58 I can’t wrap my brain around what the “questionable activities” could be that involves a priest, 3 nuns, a construction manager, and a guy in a suit standing around a pile of dirt. Did they just bury someone? Is that what it implies? I might have to call this guy’s house and ask (jk)😂

It’s so relaxing. There’s something about O-Gauge Trains at night. The light glistening off the rails, the the signals and markers on the engines, the flickering silhouettes from the passenger cars… love it.

Phenomenal video. I love the overall feel and presentation of the video and of course all of the updates. Hats off to you!

Do you have to have a wiring diagram I could use for a o Guage steam locomotive. I want to be able to use the smoke and market lights on the locomotive and tender.

Last time I checked B. was more expensive board. Why have a 3rd system ?
