I got new quercus and black night from the wisalter banner. I use certs for canta and kazemaru. Firewatch. Kazemaru is also a jack of all trades like ines, but at a 5 star level. Semi lane 2 block delay, burst aoee dps, tanking damage that twould kill other ops. Regens all health in 20s. Kazemaru filled th job of mountain basically for 15dp, that also did true aoe burst nukes with s2. I often had her hold a lane because she didn't need a heaelre, sorta like mountain. Her dps is very good, killing lots of trash and elites. And this was at E1 55 for most of the time. Firewatch is also another good multiclass jack of many roles card. Tank+dps, is hard to beat in a tactics game. She has no self heal but is focused on true aoe arts damage. Don't need arts defendrs or arts fighters as much. Pairs well with warfarin or other sp batteries/burst healers, like hibiscisu harmacist. I could just go all dps, don't worry about healers until latr.

Many of the 3* is worth building to max at e1L55 At e1L55, they gain upgrade to base skill, which is perfect for newbie. And many of them will be used again in the endgame of IS gamemode

Why the hate on the purchase certs though? They’re not hard to get, and with just 2 runs or so you could f9r example get chips for operators that are hard to get duplicates of. Plus you’ll need them to unlock archives to get operators and sweet cosmetics. Just for the price of a bit of sanity.

Steward and spot have very good base skill though. 25% production from steward and 30% metal production from spot. And you need at least e1 l1 to unlock those base skill. Building them early definitely really worth it since the stage that require E2 amiya is very far away

his base being only tier 2 is really hurting him in resources. I am at the 3 month mark for newe eplayre account too, but I built my base up to tier 4/5 in about 1-2 months. The resources gained per day adds up.

Building Myrtle early on is actually worth it if you rush her into e2 to push further on the story and stages, Because the support unit depends on the highest level. Ngl using Fang and Plume early on is good along with myrtle if you wish for a faster dp printers❤

As I did a quick Ctrl+F and nothing appeared: TOTTER. If a new player is not going for Myrtle early, which is fair, Totter is potentially the best option out of everyone, Cutter and Pinecone being the only two other options I would legit consider. Bonkers range, bonkers damage, deals with invisible enemies which is an amazing niche to have, punches through high defense, has 2 very viable skills. Very often (and even more so early on during story) the bulkiest enemies kinda spawn and AFK for a while until they start moving, Totter's range deals very well with these scenarios. Cutter is amazing with masteries and module, a real carry for IS and the easiest to obtain with Nuker tag, but without the investment the attack recovery is a pain in the butt. Pinecone fares better, she just melts stuff and deals actual true AoE, scales better than splash casters. I understand missing him as he's a newer unit in comparison, but he is really really good.

New player here. Without pulling on headhunting, how do you accumulate enough green certs? Even with recruitment, I just dont end up with enough green certs to buy all of section 1. Maybe I'm TOO new?

SUPAH opened my eyes, you don't even need to max level a single 5*/4* early game. There are several units that can fulfill those roles. Being lucky in the beginner banner and building, let's say, mountain, to e1lvl55 will be a benner investment than melantha

Does anyone know when, ideally, you can do the annihilation missions for the Orundum? I am new (4 days played) in Chapter 3 and definitely don't seem to have the roster for it yet.

Worth noting the 2* are incredibly worth building as just a toolkit. Rangers specifically helps get early clears on aerial threats, noir is amazing if you're still in need of a good defender, and 12f is just lava but cheaper for a decent chunk of early game.

Personal take is that overall, 5 stars are a bit in a weird spot. Firstly 4 stars are the best budget versions and most roles can be found in the 4 stars and overall 4 stars are very good. 5 stars are usually in my eyes 4 stars version 1.5, meaning their very similar but have a bit better skills and stats but not a major upgrade while 6 stars can break the game with some of their stuff and are often in a league of their own. So my take is usually to compare the 5 stars to 4 stars, like do I have a similar unit thats a bit weaker but cheaper to build? Or do I already have the 6 star version. Like for instance among the healing defenders Nearl is great and a great addition to most teams. However, Saria is a direct upgrade, a big one at that, so if you have Saria you don't really need Nearl except for some specific stages where 2 healing defenders might be great. But even so the 4 star Gummy in my opinion is a better choice in most cases since she's cheaper, she has more hp so she can survive high dmg hits more reliably in most cases, she also has a small chance to stun on all hits and her 2nd skill makes her much tankier for a short while but her 1st skill while healing less will always heal instead of only targets under 50% hp, which can be good and bad, mostly good. But overall the only thing Nearl has going is that she heals better then Gummy but her healing can be both less or more reliable and she has higher def but less hp. So again Nearl is a great unit but Saria is a direct upgrade while Gummy is very similar but also a bit different which makes her stand out more compared to Nearl. But yeah 5 stars I've built and have used a lot. Lappland, Meteorite, Ptil, Elysium, FEater, GreyThroat, P Red, La Pluma, Plat, Amiya, Specter, Astesia, Nearl, Blue Poison, Silence, Texas, Istina, Warfarin, Manticore. Shamare. Frankly for the longest time I only had 5 star and 3 star healers for some reason, so Ptil, Silence and later Warfarin were my go to healers for the longest time. So while for instance Silence has dropped a lot on usage she can be quite clutch for some stages by being a remote healer.

Ethan was my first E2 and I do not regret that choice at all. It's rate that I've found a map where he doesn't put work in, and getting access to his module practically doubles his presence on the field. He is very good in IS as well and can carry some maps.
