apex was fun back in the day because it had less cheaters, 2 years ago i rarely faced cheaters in casual when i was starting, casual feels like it is, i moved to rank in season 17, until season 20 it was easy to rank up, you can see the graphs of players before that season it was a pyramid every season, from season 20 onwards most people is stuck in gold 4, platinum 4 and there isnt many players on ranks above platinum 4 it looks like a sideways not like a sane pyramid, beside this add that ALGS found a cheater in a team and just banned one player instead of the whole team, ea and respawn dont care about cheaters, years ago was better due to less cheaters, you can see the charts, since season 20 charts went sideways in rank and started to decrease in players, nowdays i face one in all my lobbies in gold 2, soft aimbot, wall hacks and hard aimbot, i been solo q for seasons and all who started in day one only complain about cheaters problem, years ago was easier to get master or diamond solo q, nowdays only cheaters and a few legit players are master, Ottr and Zeus left the game for the same cheater problem, having less cheaters problem is the only reason most enjoyed the game more few years ago i include myself there, if you play in asian servers most of the time there is an aim boter or wall hacks, those hackers moved to american servers, in europe there is less people using hacks though probably they hide it more, some get the benefit of doubt, i got jadded so i will left the game after this season or even after split one is conclude, cheaters is the only reason many left the game and consider old apex better, to this add they never fixed servers which are the worst i ever been at, laggy, crashed and so on

Honestly this makes so much sense. As someone who played apex season 1-5 and then stopped, and tried coming back around 3 months ago it felt like a completely different game which honestly I just didn’t like.

OG apex feel like something ur mom said "Don't run you gonna fell!" then you run anyway and fell. That how it feel.. and respawn like "OG apex is sucks.. we fixed alot of shit, we tried to makes this game more playable and enjoyable. do you like it now?" lol

i’ll sum up what this guys saying before i even hear him…. Apex is a 5 year old game, many changes happen, bangalore was not meta. now she is. she gets nerfed even though it’s unnecessary (why i left the game personally) game bad. devs bad. game dying. not surprising.

Total nitpick but comparing diamond and pearl to platinum is a poor example. Nobody in their right mind would choose diamond and pearl over the literal straight 100% upgrade that is platinum.

Classic example of people not wanting to use the meta becaause its cheap, only to sweat so hard with a low tier that the character is considered broken. You cant neef these kinds of characters, because what makes them broken is the players, and you just cant nerf players.
