BUSY DAY in BRATISLAVA!! Christmas Markets, Delicious Food, and More!
Bratislava is a unique city with a lot to explore! We spent one busy day doing and seeing as much as possible, and stopping by a Christmas Market before the day was done!
Our first stop was going through St. Michael’s Gate to enter Bratislava’s old town on Michalska Street. This old town area was restored after communist rule to its former charm, and definitely a must-do on a trip to Bratislava. Our next stop was Hlavne Namestie, or Bratislava’s Old Town Square, with unique buildings made more interesting by the cannon balls still in the walls of some buildings from the time when Napoleon seized Bratislava. When we arrived, the town square was transformed into a charming Christmas Market.
We continued to explore the old town, which has several unique statues around town added in the 1990s as a beautification of the old town center. The most famous of which, the Peeper, is a great photo op. We couldn’t resist!
No city tour is complete without local food, and for lunch we stopped at Bratislavska for traditional Slovak food and beer. Definitely a must stop for fresh, local, hearty food. Perfect for a chilly day!
We continued touring the city and stopped at the unique Blue Church of St. Elisabeth. While we weren’t able to go inside, it was well worth visiting for the unique exterior.
We finished up tour of the city by crossing SNP Bridge and the UFO. These communist-era relics may not be controversial design choices, but worth visiting to enjoy incredible views of Bratislava and a drink or meal in the restaurant at the top of the UFO.
We couldn’t leave Bratislava without a quick dessert, and we stopped by the Christmas Market one more time for a sweet jam and poppy seed treat. What a great way to end a busy day!

Looks amazing. Thank you for sharing. When did you go?

If this was a stereotype of americans: Speak with the mouth full, put the elbows on the table, not handling cutlery properly... Manners are definitely not your first concern in the US.
Just a side note. Canada is NOT "a commonwealth of the UK"... We, like other ex-British colonies, are part of a group called The Commonwealth of Nations. It is NOT a subservient thing, but more like a country club for countries that have common ideas about society, and share values and economic ties. Cahada is 100% INDEPENDENT! We just keep some traditions going, for the sake of history, and ongoing relationships.
Not entirely true, the english monarchy still have a presence in the Canadian gouvernement. thats why we have a governer general etc. Even if this is , in fact, more of a ceremonial role. But you are right, since 1982 we are independant from the uk
Wir waren hier im februar, traumhaft. Kommen im jänner wieder aus österreich
You don’t cut the peel of the Weißwurst. You bite into it and suck the meat out without eating the peel.
I live in Munich, and i know eactly 0 people who do this. I heard that it was more popular in the past because the meat in the weißwurst was a lot mor "Gooy" back than, so cuting it open was not such a good idea.
Roskilde Cathedral is also worth a visit.
I'm Italian but I don't like and drink wine only beer and above all Weiss so Munich is the Paradise on earth for me
Stay the fuck in the US with Trump

Now with fridges the Weißwurst stay good way longer, days... but yes that's where the tradition came from to eat it before noon 😊

kaiserschmarrn ist an austrian tradition
0:41 alles was FRISCH ist, schmeckt gut.
Wirklich...? Na dann Vergleich mal einen frisch gebrannten Whiskey, mit einem der 12 Jahre im Eichenfass gelagert wurde...
9:47 In Germany, the Austrian Kaiserschmarrn is usually served with applesauce. I'm Austrian and can therefore say that the original Kaiserschmarrn is eaten with plum pottage. Amen.
i would say that you can find different versions of the Kaiserschmarn here. My colleagues and me have a tradition of going for dinner every two weeks, and we end it by sharin ga kaiserschmarrn. most of the restaurants had plum pottage, some had additional plum sirup (?) drizzled over the top and only one had an additional pot with apple sauce. all i can say is that it was delicious everywhere.
Great video! We recently went to The Strip in February and it was FREEZING! So it was fun to see The Strip through your lens, since it was so unlike our experience.
Wunderbar in German means wonderful.
Wieso essen die Amerikaner Brezeln mit Senf?😂
NONE of foods you mention is danish. But please eat corporate grool.
If you're gonna leave a comment like this, could you please be prepared to list some of "real Danish" foods also? Or did you just want to troll and have your "fun"?
Super 🎉
Great video! Heading there next month. Any chance you remember where you ordered your open faced sandwiched from?
YES DO NOT FUCKING CALL "SMØREBRØD" OPEN FACE-SANWITCH PLEAS

Did you get a feuerzungenbowle at the medieval Christmas market?
Was that the drink with the fiery sugar cube? If so, we didn't get one, but I wish we did!

Hot Dog sausage is pork in Denmark.
Belize is expensive but it was an amazing country to be. Thanks for the nice video. 🤩
There's actually a 3rd way to get there as well... By car. ;) You can take your car and follow the road that takes you to the top. There's an entrance there at the back of the Citadel as well where you can buy tickets. ;)
Can you guys tell me what time of the year you guys visited bruges? The weather seems perfect and it's not much crowdy as well.
Late November. It was the week of U.S. Thanksgiving 2021.
