Hi Alexa I hope you are keeping well, and having fun with this series awesome as it is and BTW I like your Space 1999 gun and you are into kickboxing too it is good to learn a skill like that and also I liked the way the 4th Doctor companion Leela was able to defend herself with unarmed combat and sometimes weapons as was Cally and Dayna in Blakes 7 . I like the lullaby used in this story, called Brahms lullaby, it is awesome and I remember it from my childhood .
With the mother and father using old names, Eldred and Rothwyn. I wonder if they are their real names, or they were just giving them because the assignment puts them in this time frame.
I hope you did well at the kick-boxing. I would say the best time of day to watch Sapphire and Steel is late at night, preferably after subjecting yourself to two or three days' of sleep deprivation and fueling up on at least a dozen cups of black coffee to really ramp up the paranoia. And no spoilers, but whatever you think's going on with the capsule - it's actually worse than you imagine.
Terrifyingly claustrophobic show, another benefit of the low budget. Trap our heroes in metal box, add blood and creepy changeling who for some reason we're not going to keep a careful eye on at all times...

Agreed 🎉
The story directly addresses it - they were assigned names, but the future did terrible research and accidentally gave them way earlier names.
It somehow seems appropriate to watch this show at night, methinks

Yes, probably not the best episode to watch at night, Alexa. I'm glad that you still enjoyed it though.
