GOOD PEOPLE Will Abandon YOU: Franz Kafka's METAMORPHOSIS
Good People Will Abandon You: Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis
Franz Kafka's The Metamorphosis is the story of Gregor Samsa, a traveling salesman who wakes up one morning to find himself transformed into a grotesque insect-like creature. This surreal transformation becomes a lens through which Kafka explores existential questions, societal rejection, and the devastating impact of shame. Gregor’s story is one of alienation, both from society and his own family, as they increasingly see him as a burden rather than a human being.
The story touches on profound themes:
1. Existential Questions: Gregor's transformation drives him into despair, questioning his existence and purpose. His family’s rejection pushes him into isolation, ultimately leading him to give up on life.
2. Societal Roles and Dehumanization: Society’s and his family's cruelty highlight how people are often valued only for their utility. Once Gregor loses his ability to work, he is discarded.
3. Free Will: Gregor never truly had freedom, even before his transformation. Bound by obligations and societal expectations, his life reflects how modern struggles strip individuals of autonomy.
4. Shame: The pervasive shame felt by Gregor and his family drives their misery, with societal judgment playing a central role in their decisions.
5. Beauty Will Save the World: In his darkest moments, Gregor clings to a portrait of a woman-a symbol of beauty and hope. Kafka uses this moment to remind us of humanity’s enduring ability to find solace in beauty, even amidst despair.
Ultimately, The Metamorphosis forces readers to confront harsh truths about rejection, the fragility of human relationships, and how shame and societal judgment can erode our sense of self.

The Perfect Philosopher for Modern Times| Immanuel Kant
มุมมอง 2.8K14 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
I've put Immanuel kant as the perfect philosopher for modern times because his philosophy offers profound insights for modern society, especially as many struggle with nihilism, depression, and a culture that increasingly normalizes self-interest and superficial success. Kant, a deeply disciplined thinker who spent most of his life in modest surroundings, developed a philosophy grounded in auto...
Carl Jung: Find Your SOUL | A Guide to SPIRITUAL Growth.
มุมมอง 3.5K21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Carl Jung experienced the depths of the human psyche, proposing that modern society's relentless pace and constant distractions have led to a profound disconnection from our souls. He argued that this loss of connection is a primary cause of the widespread feelings of emptiness and dissatisfaction that plague many individuals today. Central to Jung's psychological theory is the concept of indiv...
Notes from UNDERGROUND: This Is Why You'll NEVER Be HAPPY!
มุมมอง 12Kวันที่ผ่านมา
Fyodor Dostoevsky’s Notes from Underground critiques the rationalist ideas of his time, particularly those put forth in Nikolay Chernyshevsky's What Is to Be Done?, a work that promotes a utopia based on self-interest and rationalism. Dostoevsky saw in these ideas a threat to human freedom, believing that an over-reliance on rationality could lead to a deterministic and ultimately nihilistic wo...

In today’s fast-paced world, we’ve grown more afraid of boredom than ever, filling every idle moment with screens or distractions. But boredom, as many philosophers and scientists have observed, is essential for creativity, self-reflection, and personal growth. From Schopenhauer’s "lofty solitude" to Neil Gaiman’s intentional breaks for “dead time,” boredom is celebrated as a tool for imaginati...
Absurdism: Living HAPPILY in a World Without Meaning| Albert Camus

Albert Camus's philosophy of Absurdism provides a unique approach to the meaning of life. He explores the tension between humanity's deep desire for meaning and the universe's lack of answers, coining this contradiction as "the absurd." His philosophy rejects nihilism and encourages us to embrace life’s limitations, living fully in the present and finding purpose through personal choices rather...

I've included two main characters in the script: Elliot from Mr. Robot and Dwight Schrute. Both had their own brand of dumb, but they weren’t ignorant at all. Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophy emphasizes the importance of self-discovery and individualism in the face of societal pressures. Schopenhauer, love them love is paper on noise however, do we really need more manipulation in this world because that's all that practices
You don't need meaning in your life, if you have money. Meaning is for people just getting by.
It's the other way around. Money is a means to an end. Having purpose in life...now that is divine.

If the loudest one in the room is the weakest one, honesty is not true. It's not the decibels in the something that somebody says that's the most important it's the substance of what is said and whether it's repeated or retained by those with voices of all different volumes.
I too am extraordinarily humble.
Never outshine the master
This is a massive dose of copium on his part. He discovered basic social skills. He discovered that people don't like arrogance and don't like know-it-alls, and people don't like copius amounts of unsolicited advise. Most people learn these concepts as children. Glad to see Shopenhaur discovered there is a difference between intelligence and wisdom, but there's no need for him to perform the mental gymnastics of explaining basic social skills through a lens that makes him feel superior to others. To he fair, maybe he was autistic and failed to develop theory of mind as a child like most children do at about the age of 3 or whatever. This is not profound, this is the work of a man struggling with his own shadow. People who build their identity around intelligence are in for a hard life. So I suppose his musings are good advise for those types of people. A better title for this video would be "Do you want to he right or do you want to be happy?"
Great Channel. Thanks a lot for the excellent work

Where can I place the burnt-out gifted children who later fail at school and work in this topic? Gaslighting the children or intelligence becomes an identity and is doomed to failure. Parental expectations and/or abuse of the supposedly intelligent children do the rest. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Socratic questioning is one of the best tools for respectful communication when there's disagreement or errors of thought, without appearing preachy. It guides rather than forces.
