I bought a voltage transformer from China thru Ebay for the W220 & it's been almost 5 yrs so far.... I'm hoping with China's bootleg market that they copied the better version....they have a fleet of fake S-classes over in their market.

Thank you for the detail on this video. I'm going to have to address a major leak i have and plan to rebuild the box. Is the pitman arm extractor something you borrowed from the local autoparts store? Would a hammer have worked, lol.

I actually replaced the wiring one by one and made my own harness on one side, after the mechanic had told my dad that the harness was very expensive. now i suspect the other side is going bad, since i got the dreaded ASR light and seems to be in limp mode. i didn't take anything apart on this, my dads mechanic did. he had mentioned to my dad that i should fix the other side before it went out. now i i have to deal with it. i could have swore, those plugged into the throttle body. are the throttle body's in the front of the car????

I found a black locally for 11k but its black all my cars are white but the cl has always been favorite next to a 850 bmw guy says its got new coil packs and i believe new shocks and gas alot of maintenance records im just scared of it if the tranny goes out it will cost more than the car is worth lol

Always wanted a W220 but it’s very rare to find a well kept maintained one. Very nice car tho.

This and a 2014 CLS AMG are my favs but I’m too scared mind you I got a C7/Infiniti cause atleast I can fix em by my self mostly

Something interesting I have noticed the euro spec cars don't seem to have this problem atleadt in my experience with the r129 600s Maybe this was only a usa requirement for the biodegradable wiring. Also interesting I noticed on the mercedes only the important wiring seems to have this problem like the injection harness, throttle bodies and starter harness. The main harness for the accessories and what not are always fine

I went to buy a 2003 w220 s600 with 69k km on it, and I was put off by the fact that car lifts up and down while idling for no reason. the soft close doesn't work, bootlid closes manually and the massage seat function doesn't work. it was also clear that there is a noise resembling somewhat of an air leak but I did not know where it was coming from or what it was. please advise thank you.

Was the pump making a whining noise in addition to the low pressure issue?
