Ross Hunter's LOST HORIZON 50th Anniversary / Burt Bacharach
มุมมอง 3.1Kปีที่แล้ว
50th Anniversary of the Ross Hunter 1973 musical LOST HORIZON. Much maligned at the time, this film is the last of the lavish expensive and handsomely crafted musicals of that era. It sports an international cast and a great Bacharach/David. The musical evokes the kind of giddy happiness James Hilton wrote about the people living in Shangri-La having.

Producer ROSS HUNTER promotional film on LOST HORIZON 1973
มุมมอง 640ปีที่แล้ว
Hopes are high for producer Ross Hunter on his lavish musical remake of LOST HORIZON. Although the film made a lot of money overseas it was both a critical and financial disappointment in America. LOST HORIZON became a pile-on for the critics in the wake of new wave grittier 70''s realism.

THE HAPPY HOOKER music video LYNN REDGRAVE "Put Yourself in my Hands"
มุมมอง 1.5Kปีที่แล้ว
The first and best of the HAPPY HOOKER film series. This was a light romp and successful at the box office in the spring and summer of 1975. Given the title, the movie threw off many viewers who were hoping for more pornographic material.. THE HAPPY HOOKER was anything but that. It was more a lighthearted comedy that chronicled the events in the best selling 1971 book by Xaviera Hollander. The ...

Comey has it in for strong, successful, powerful women. This was a precursor to what he did to Hillary. Like her or not, he tipped the election to The Insurrectionist with "her e-mails", which were already examined and found...NOTHING. Comey is a dirtbag.

I’m here because I watched both Crow movies yesterday and honestly don’t waste your money on going to see the new one. All they did was give a back story and made a ton of mistakes in one part of the movie the steering wheel was on the left side then later it was on right side and then back on the left side. ALSO THEY COULD OF GAVE BRANDON HIS FLOWERS IN THE NEW MOVIE OR CHANGED THE NAMES. HONESTLY IT WAS NOT WORTH IT AND I SEEN THEM FOR FREE IN MY HOUSE. THE FIRST CROW WAS SO MUCH BETTER. THEY SHOULD OF NEVER DID A REMAKE. They should’ve changed the names and maybe had Shelly come back to life instead of Eric or just did something so different you wouldn’t expect it. It was predictable and I am glad it was for free, when I seen the trailer I literally said this movie is gonna suck but my boyfriend wanted to see it so I watched it and again it was predictable. It sucked please save your money.

He was genuine, authentic and gorgeous. When he says “ I don’t think anyone should get hurt on a film set” God it’s sad. He would’ve been a force to be reckoned with and IMO would of went on to have a successful career, just as big a Brad and Leo just with a ton more of talent. R.I.P Brandon

Christina has repeatedly stated that the film is highly inaccurate, and that the portrayal of her mother in the film is nothing like the real Joan Crawford, emphasizing that she never wrote in her book that Joan chopped down a tree with an axe, or beat her with a wire hanger as depicted in the film.

The ultimate White Savior Musical! Only a while Caucasian male can be in charge. Who gets to pick him? The people? No, another white Caucasian male. These people are not smart enough to create their own irrigation system. Who do they need? A white Caucasian male. Who is teaching the native children? A white Caucasian woman because why not? What are they learning? French because that’s what you need in a community cut off from the rest of the world.

Re watching this, I remember when this happened. I also remember thinking how full of shit it was. A family friend who was a stock broker also followed this and believed they were indeed targeting her and making her an example. Martha has the DNA to move through anything with grace dignity and success. I also admire her honesty about herself, no straight up denial or sugarcoating either.
