I "discoverd" Bobby Van at age 15 thanks to this movie, he became a favorite of mine, then I saw hime in Because You're Mine with Mario Lanza and in That's Entertainment, as the human pogo stick in that scene from Small Town Girl. Too bad he died so young, it was very sad when I heard the news.

I love this film. However, this is one of the few songs which I dislike. The melody is wonderful, but the lyrics are inane. Even in a fantasy, there must be some truth, or else, it will a farce.
Yes, and it caused a big rift between producer Ross Hunter, who tried to stop the filming of this on the Shangri-La set and composer Burt Bacharach. I wish the entire special would be released.
