I actually really like the look of this watch. The only reason I wouldn’t buy it is the lack of a sapphire crystal! I’d be willing to pay a bit more for that upgrade 👍🏻
Reliable watch for the price for sure. A great daily beater. 👍🏻
I have not seen an armitron in forever
Its The Sounds, of Sciiiiiiiiiience!
Love this G Shock! I don’t care that it’s to big & bulky for me personally. I might just treat myself! 😁
hey Matt didn't know this was your type of wrist candy :)
The reason it is called an embassy pen is because it is designed as a back weapon (kubaton) for self defense. But also to not be obvious as one, that's why it doesn't have sharp points and is so robust.
hey Brandon thanks bud and welcome to the channel, I had an inkling it might be along those lines but good to hear others views to either confirm or not, cheers
Glad you like our Searock Model! thank you so much for mentioning us in a review.
Hi Roamer, thanks for stopping by my little channel and really looking forward to learning more about your current stock soon! cheers

A very attractive watch! absolutely love it! ❤ only negative being the over size of the clasp… which really isn’t a deal breaker 👍🏻
@@mattc1704 cheers Matt yup very pretty these 😎👍
That buckle/pin you got there gives me strong Rhodesian vibes! As for the watch its kind of a rose quartz like colour. The size is a bit small but I think you can pull it off a dress watch for more formal events. Nice touch colour matching the date wheel CW! I think its a nice watch but CW have such a huge outstanding catalogue its not going to be the one I reach for first. Take care and have a great weekend bud!

@@mattc1704 cheers Matt yeah think these are aimed at the youth of today 😅
Does it use seiko fat spring bars?
@@tomekleeds8039 hey Tomek sorry bu i sold this one a while back and can't recall if the lug holes were big enough 😎👍
I bought the black dial version and it looked great on the wrist - but I had the same issue with the second hand and there was also a lot of play in the hour, minute, and GMT hands - when changing them you had to play around to get them to be aligned. This would be ok, however, the GMT hand especially quickly got out of step with the hour hand and it was a fair way off accurate. Given it isn't a cheap watch (some may disagree) I wasn't too impressed so sent it back and got a PRX powermatic which is rock solid. I know quartz can be a bit off, but I have cheaper quartz watches where the second hand is bang on. There is a bigger, US only version of this Tissot watch which is automatic - does anyone know if this gets over the issues I mentioned?
@@golduk2 hey dude thanks and yes that's really frustrating but good to hear the prx has impressed you, not seen the US versions sorry but hopefully someone responds to you hear 👍😎
I own the predecessor to this model before they were codified with the NSN NATO stock number, and it has proven to be incredibly durable over the four years I've had it. What surprised me the most is the resilience of the PVD plating; despite a pretty rough life, it has held up exceptionally well. I would absolutely purchase it again. There's minimal difference between the NATO stock number model and my version, aside from some minor details on the dial. I've seen both, as a friend owns the current model in stainless steel, while mine is in PVD. They’re nearly identical, with only a few subtle differences in dial design.
@@johntyandersen1925 thanks John and as mentioned in my other reply I'll be speaking to them again and hopefully be able to get some more of their watches in for review 😎👍
They are simply badass, I've had mine for a couple of years. 👍
thanks bud yup totally agree :)
I like the size but the dial is hard to read!
cheers Jimmy yup it's a busy dial LOL
I reviewed something similar to that from wish do it nice enough watch but not my style
your vid inpsired for this one, thought i'd like it more...
Hey. Have you notice a yellow circle line in the gwg 1000 1a3? It goes where is the "casio" and around to "R" from "mudmaster". Any ideas what is it? I just got the watch and I thought it's a defective one..now I see others have it 2.
hey dude yeah it's the frame colour, it's legit so not a fake :)
Plus one thousand points for the awesome Citizen poster! I could make so many nuke jokes with this name but I'll spare you the terrible puns haha! If you like this type of design then you will like this. Doesn't seem like a bad watch at all but not for me. Take care man!
thanks dude, thought I lost that old citizen poster when we moved a few years back :)
@@thetimebombardier It looks awesome!
Why make a timing bezel but make it a non moving bezel?
yup just for show :)
Been looking at these for some time , good review . Rather curious watch , many thanks .
cheers Gazz, i thought i'd like it more to be honest as i like bold watches but think it's just a bit too cloney,
Not for me. And i don't like Richard Mille. But I guess some Richard mille fans will love it and less risky to wear..
+1. That design is not for me either.

@@averyprivategentleman evening sir yup they sent me through some blurb so I'll make sure to forward it on to you 😎👍
Good review 👍🏻 I like the watch overall. I would prefer to lose a few millimeters in the case dimensions.
@@Jason-hv4eu hey Jason thanks bud and welcome to the channel and yup that seems to be everyone's feedback also 😎👍
You got a free envelope too, stop complaining.
@@znuteri-s7b hahaha gotta love those envelopes 🤣
I have the older mineral crystal version with the T dial. When I took it for a battery change (after 3 years) it failed the pressure test, and was told the crystal was not correctly aligned. (I can feel it protruding when I run my finger nail around it.) So, it's likely it never was waterproof and certainly not to 300m. That aside, the seconds hand hits all the way round and it's a fairly accurate watch.
cheers MrD, how old is that model please? just checked the one they sent me and the crystal seems to sit flush but i can imagine how that would irk, did you think about sending it back?
@@thetimebombardier It's several years old. I wasn't aware of the issue until I got the battery changed and by then the warranty had expired. I could get it fixed but as I'm not a diver it's not crucial.
@mrd64 roger that, good to hear you still got it as many other peeps would likely sell something like that,
Nice watch... In related news, Chinese brand 'Watchdives' just released their own homage of the CWC dive watch, the 'WD1980'. It has removable lug bars, and it sells for under US$100... the first batch sold out almost instantly... No idea how the QC stacks up, they certainly look cool...
cheers Ice and yeah watchdives do push the envelope especially at that price!!
How did you change to 24 hour?
bhey dude, been a while since i had this one in but pretty sure i found it whilst going through time setting, there's an H that pops up indicating 24hr time,
@ yeah I got it. Thanks bro
Functionally, I like it but that knurling on those fake screws on the buttons is a very poor design. The thing that really kills the buy for me is how huge this watch is on the wrist. My Skyhawk AT can't even keep its year setting so my days are wrong. I really don't understand why it happens so Citizen is kinda on my crap list. It has put me off spending much for a watch and I've just bought a very inexpensive Casio with a nice day/date display.
hey Rick yup these are large and think i commented on that, if they had shrunk some of the dimensions it would have been better for most wrists, and damn I've not heard of those issues with the skyhawks, thought everyone had only good things to say about them!
@@thetimebombardier I have a Casio WS-B1000 w/Bluetooth arriving tomorrow so the phone will now update the watch and it's only 11.6 mm thick. No interest in the running data, I just wanted a thin watch with Bluetooth and Casio's great set of features. That six tower business is way overblown in a world filled with smartphones. The outstanding issue with the Skyhawk other than the loss of year issue, is your always aware it's on your wrist. I always had the automatic time sync turned off on the Skyhawk as it was a battery drain but It kept remarkably accurate time anyway so setting it manually worked just fine.
@Rick9482 cheers Rick thanks and off the back of your comments i think I'm try to get one of those skyhawks on long term loan to check it out 😎👍
If you are looking for a rubber strap for this, I would recommend the 328 series from Bonetto Cinturini. They are NBR Rubber pass-through NATO style straps. Also, have you ever handled a Bertucci watch? Bertucci also uses fixed spring bars.
cheers RR and welcome to the channel bud, thanks for that strap suggestion and will check it out this week, and no sadly not had a bertucci in for review yet, i'll reach out to them :)
Come on 100 dollars what do want for nothing
thanks George I recall I did like this and have reviewed several other victas I like :)
You know it is 😁🇺🇸 and yes i do you know I love me some sword hands
swords at dawn or pistols at dawn?? :D
Excellent production and a fine looking and promising watch. For those of us who depend on our watches and stand on the shoulders of the giants that made this type of watch famous, I can't blame the manufacturers for standing on those same shoulders. Keep up the good work and Godspeed.
cheers Hess and yeah the history suggests that CWC and MWC stood side by side a few years back and then parted waves, excuse the dive pun!!!
This is gorgeous. Thank you *so much* for spilling the price early in the video! Very approachable. I hope I can find one here in the US. Great work.
cheers Craig :)
A very sexy dive watch! I like the simplicity of the dial, rock solid construction & heritage. I real hard as nails dive watch! Love the fixed spring bars for extra security whilst wearing on wrist when swimming in the ocean/diving. An absolute nato strap monster! My only negative is that seconds hand alignment 🤔
cheers Matt :)
I have seen a few of these but never owned one. They do look super good though! The finishing is superb as well! How can you improve on perfection! If it works it works! This would be and probably is a superb duty watch. The only reason people love mil-spec stuff is because they have never been issued mil-spec stuff haha! I've heard that the SANDF (South African National Defence Force) used them in small batches but I cannot confirm that. I have yet to meet a service member with an MWC. Take care man!
thanks Johan and yes that's exactly my experience also LOL we got issued some absolute garbage kit back in the day and I'm sure some of that clobber is still being used today...
@@thetimebombardier I am sure it is haha!
I'm surprised you haven't met a member with an MWC because they currently hold the the contract with the British Ministry of defence which is confirmed by this document which a friend of mine who is in the military forwarded to me drive.google.com/file/d/1XKWMnePVJA7ugMz4WuDvBUt6ioNncqCT/view?usp=drive_link of course with this watch having NATO codification it has to be questioned as to whether or not they are likely also to secure the divers watch contract but of course that's pure speculation because they could have been required to supply the item with NATO codification even if it's not going to the UK, it could be going to any NATO member state.
@@johntyandersen1925 Could be because South Africa is not a NATO nation so maybe our requisition works slightly different. That being said I spoke to an artillery corporal this afternoon when I was in town and he told me that most of his battalion uses G-Shocks or Casio's. That doesn't mean they are not out there. I just haven't met them yet. Take care man!
@johntyandersen1925 hey John many thanks bud and interesting to see the FOI details as that certainly adds some solid perspective, my time was many year's back and everyone had gshoccks seikos and citizens and neither i nor my brother were ever issued watches, current friends who are still in are on gshocks or garmins, but as you say the divers might be issued elsewhere and that was what i was wondering also. I got an email from someone higher up in MWC yesterday so I'm gonna pose the same question and will revert back to you with their response 😎👍
Great watches MWC , i have two different ones .

Nice review mate but makes me want the CWC lookalike even more 😊. The money, the money...
cheers John yeah the CWCs still look very tempting, I did write to them to ask for a loaner for a review but don't think my channel is big enough yet for them to want to work with me LOL
I picked one of these up about a year ago, and am very pleased with the quality. My experience with the lume seems to be better than this one, as I have no trouble reading the time if I wake up in the middle of the night. I prefer the removable spring bars, as I've never been able to comfortably wear a NATO strap.I wear mine on a Barton Silicone Elite strap. I can't see any justification for the CWC costing 3 times more for a virtually identical watch, other than it's "official" Royal Navy issue status. Thanks for the review.
cheers Jeff and welcome to the channel bud, yup the CWC pricing is a tough pill for us poor types, and good to hear the lume on yours is better :)
Handsome watch,
