Had mine for 6 months now - it has actually been fairly scratch and ding resistant.... if you think the G-Steels are at odds, you should try an MTG or MRG... App has been fine - syncs all 8 of my bluetooth G-Shocks in the background. The MR-G has an extra option to view its authenticity certificate in the app, which is pretty cool. My only gripe is the alarm being quiet. Everything else is spot on for the £300ish I paid for it.
Hmm, I do think this misses the point of a G Shock square a bit, at least how I see them. I want to see G Shocks getting banged up and this is a bit blingy for that and I’d panic about every doorway and brick wall. Edit: I’ve just parroted what you said it turns out. A man after my heart. I’m still tempted by one of those virtual armour G Shocks though - I feel a few scratches would sell the look.
firstly love the channel name!! is that a fossey or a lench mob ref? and yes now these have come down in price they make sense but the release price a few years back made little sense!!
It looks pretty and shiny but I dont think it would look like that for long. Each ding and scratch is a story so I dont mind them! I am weird like that haha! This seems like a solid reliable timepiece with a lot of presence! Take care man!
I love these metal G Shocks, I picked up a GMWB5000D-2 for my birthday and it’s probably going to be the last watch I’ll ever buy. I welcome the scratches and the dings, I plan to wear this watch for the next couple of years
Absolutely love this watch & G-Shocks in general. I have many! But as our Lord & channel leader has said it is a scratch magnet! For that reason alone I’m out 🙈
I have this watches, estheticly she is wonderfull, love the sensation to worn it,but...there a lot of problems for me,even if i like it i am conscient that for example she is realy easy to scratch,my casio look likenif i was worning it since 20 years with shock an scratch everywhere and i use it few month..also the big problem is the alarm, absolutly too low,i dont heard it never..the same with countdown...the remember fuction is stupid,if i want the watche record me an important call tomorrow at 3pm the watch flash and remember it tonight at midnight!!!!??? Never at 3pm tomorrow, its a stupid conception fromcasio engener,,if harakiri still exist in japanni think the engeniors who work on it have to think in make them harakiri...why dont they put vibration alarm like in my other casio at 39€.? But even with all this default i love it for the steel and look...but casio have to change all this big mistakes..
I enjoy dings and dents. May spend a weekend intentionally adding some if I got one.
Right? It shows that you actually use your watches as the tools they were designed to be.
and no doubt make a very good vid of it?

cheers Pesca appreciate it and yeah an odd one this, I think if they made a matt or brushed version that would be even better!!
I have the Tron and the Multi Finish Black. I like them except for the super quiet alarms, which I find almost completely useless.
thanks Ian - I will include some sound bites in future videos,
Very nice
Cant quite get my head around the price of these, great review.

cheers Johan and yeah just wish these were brushed finished but then they wouldn't have the bling factor!!
@@thetimebombardier Haha, I guess you are right but I am not a blingy sort of guy. 😅
