Great video thanks.. When I recently sprayed my bike I made stencils and went OK, but I masked the rest of the frame to protect from overspray some of the edges of the tape were visible in the base coat upon removal!! I didn't press edges down hard and used very low tack tape... My base colour must have been too thick/not fully cured?? even after about 3 days drying.

*New Subscriber* That was very interesting. I had no idea that orange peel can be eliminated from paint with polishing. A friend bought a new BMW a couple of years ago, and the orange peel on some concave curves is bad. I didn't mention it to him, but I would have been very unhappy with it. How long do I wait to reassemble?

I bought the two horse 13 gallon stand up vevcor😮 my old tank rusted out at the bottom because I failed to drain it😢 this one's much quieter I use it to spray also air nailers power tools and it keeps up👍

I really like the gold with the moose on the inside of the fork. The little details like this really make it look more custom. I found it interesting that you ended up in the position where the whole bike was sprayed with gloss coat. May have saved some time if you'd gloss cleared the decals you'd just painted in gold before removing all the masking. Then given you had to mask up the gold decals to paint the green areas that had got scratched, you could've sprayed mat clear over that area straight away. Either way glad you're happy with the outcome!

I use Muc Off Lubes Dry & Wet I clean the bike using Dawn Platinum diswasing on drivetrain = Fabulous :)

This job of painting a bicycle frame is time consuming and costly I would not attempt to paint a bicycle frame myself no way.

I just bought this product and looking forward to trying it. But can I give you a bit of advice? I’ve been washing motorcycles for over 45 years and what really helps is using a backpack blower after rinsing! Especially with a bicycle that has small mechanical components! You’ll never need to dry your bike again!

I drove less then 200km on my ICAN 45 Alpha pro and the spokes became so loose I had to stop mid race, the front wheel was flopping around 🤷🏻‍♂️ The bike on gonna go to service in 2 weeks time and then they will take a look on the wheels.

Ive been wondering why it wouldnt be compatible due to pull ratio I currently have a sora RD with 4600 10 speed brifters and it works fine currently, my sora RD turned out not happy when I decided to gravel it so, why wouldnt it be compatible to lower shifters if rear deraileurs are just a bunch of springs and limit screws? I do not understand how "pull ratio" would limit me from using it on a 4600 10 speed

Cheers Mate! I was "Wet" sanding after every stage.. But when it got to clear coat i wasnt sure, your explaination made me realise and understand even if the 1st and 2nd coats of clear isnt perfect or there's imperfection.. i dont sand straight away.. i let it cure for 1-2 days.. But i wet sanded not dry sanded before apply 2 round of clear after.. is there a diff? Wish i saw this video earlier ffs.. respraying my cars bonnet/hood and boot cover.. I was sanding 3 hours on hood then primer 1 coat resanded dry 1/2 day then 2nd coat then resanded.. Took me 4 days to do it and my arms were numb and cramping for 1 day.. Cheers!

I'm cool paying a bit more for a quality tool made in the USA by riders (I do understand they import a multitool - which sucks). If they ever start farming out a significant portion of them, they'll lose their edge with me, but I'll gladly pay for that in-house, in-country tool over something made with questionable materials and labor practices. Been collecting Park tools for a long time, and they just work well when you need them.

The instructions on the side of the bottle are for when you buy the concentrate separate and use this squirt bottle after you have finished using what was already in it. It does say this on the bottle ❤this is a TFR, i use this on my car too, its amazing on brake dust and road rash (speckles of black tar on paintwork) ❤

I was about to pull the plug on elitewheels for my ican frame, but then I started looking into their wheels and saw they had one with dt swiss wheels. I mean, chinese carbon prices with dt swiss quality hubs. So I had to watch this to see if the wheels themselves were good - and I am convinced. :)
