When I saw this video... hmm... I was feeling a bit of deja vu, like I've seen this before. And after jogging my memory, I thought of two different games that I actually played... NC Soft's "Battle Crush". Which... well I was interested in their mascot Poseidon when I saw in the September 2023 Nintendo Direct, I played it quite a bit when it was first released around Oct 2023 but fell off. Now it's shutting down in late November 2024... I also played a top down competitive multiplayer shooter for a bit called Black Catalyst. Not sure how that game is doing these days but I'm sure it wasn't that popular back then either. I'm gonna at least want to see if Supervive will gain traction compared to these two.

Making a fighting game that last is pretty hard. This isn't the type of game you make if you want to have a big daily player base. Because they want a "revolutionary" fg with a big player base. That's why I think it's taking so long

Not that it really matters but you've put October instead of November for arcane season 2. We've just started rewatching season 1 in preparation. As someone who doesn't play league anymore, I'm still weirdly invested in the lore haha. Always enjoy these videos!

Saying league is a copy of dota is a bit too vague in my opinion. It kinda is but read up on leagues story please, there is more to it. Also Dota2 sucks balls. Absolut donkey shit game 😂

I think Riot put in their bets of becoming the next Blizzard, but unfortunately they came short. They have one (maybe two if you count Valorant) games that are "alive." And neither of these games are as big as World of Warcraft. Someone once told me that Riot is in such a bad spot because they only have League of Legends and no Riot game since then has even come close to its popularity or quality.

this game is gonna end up like runeterra sadly its a game in a over saturated market sure Tekken survived thanks to the anime but look at even street fighter they struggling idk how Riot could even save the genre.

LoR's story is so sad, I still play it every day but is noticeable the restructuring, I was reaching Master every season since rising tides(the first expansion) and have been playing since beta and now I learned to really like the PvE side of the game. Is sad to see that LoR was punished by not been pay to win like every other card game

l love 2xko its a concept that l always wanted a league of legends fighting game l never likes league's gameplay but loved the characters and lore so puting the characters into my favorite genre of games is all l wanted l can't wait to play the game☺️

I just want to remind everybody that the game wasn't *really* in the development for 8 years. Just like it didn't take them 6 year *just* to make Arcane. The script was rewritten multiple times, so was the concept of the Riot Games Fighting game. MK, Smash, SF have a formula that works, so they can just make the same game and shake up just enough things so it'll feel fresh. 2xko as a tag-fighter was in development for, like, 3-4 years. So just like the 2nd season of Arcane didn't take the same 6 years to make, the updates for 2XKO wouldn't take that much time either. It's all about figuring out the niche, artstyle and system mechanics. Yes, the game was, *technically*, in development for 8 years, but I think it's worth mentioning.

The Brackern being the source of hexcrystals only ever worked as a self contained narrative. Riot never would have allowed Skarner, or the Brackern by proxy, to destroy Piltover and their hextech, because hextech is what makes Piltover, Piltover. Skarner's old lore doomed him to be a victim with no agency in his own story.

While it is a shame that worldbuilding took such massive blows during the layoffs, *objectively both LoR and Riot Forge* have introduced inconsistencies and retcons in the IP's narrative that have contributed to the current situation in which Riot as a company felt they were not focus on a unified vision for the IP. I say this as a fellow lore fan who has been following the lore since 2015 and someone who had been a big defender of the value LoR added to the canon worldbuilding.

It is very good for a game company to be open. But at this early stages. I would imagine everything is up in the air. They probably only have very rough working software to show. It is simply to early to show anything Games like WoW already has a base so it is far easier to talk about what is coming up.

Oh blizzard is going to pull the EXACT same thing that elder scrolls online has, they are called delves and take new players usualy 5 minutes 10 depending on how lost they get they are scattered all over the world in every zone and experinced players can clear them in a minute or 2. Yup im done with wow and blizzard

Something to add: GW2 gives you the opportunity tp exchange in-game earned gold for gems so that players can unlock in-game shop items for free by just playing the game. It takes a long time to get enough gems to buy what you want but is do-able
