    Chattanooga is garbage Racist as well you can feel it This place does not promote diversity or opportunities for Black and Latino people I go back 100 years when I drive thru there Chattanooga Nashville and Knoxville does not promote diversity Any one that travels as much as I do knows diversity when i see it Get some culturally diversity then promote that racist place they have always been racist therefore you should be able to attract Northern rejects These places price black and brown people out intentionally I am well off and you can not price me out and I would not live in that place What I may do is buy 10 acres of land and build affordable housing for all peoples Whites Blacks Latinos and even Immigrants they ere humans as well Not a great place to promote due to the obvious racist environment

    You left out what I think is most important. We have boating and fishing galore. The Tennessee river, the Hiwassee river the Ocoee river and much more where you can take all day several times to boat or fish or even a nice picnic and still not see it all. People are nice, crime is low, you can walk downtown and feel safe and welcomed.

    I've lived on the outside of chattanooga since 2008 and lived in Hixon for a year. Before 2008 I lived in south carolina and kansas. It is a horrible place to live! Theres constant road construction going on in the chattanooga area. Theft has gotten much worse, especially in downtown. Living prices are crazy high! Not lower! And even if you do find lower prices, its most likely in bad neighborhoods and shitty apartments that arent worth it. Buildings are crammed together, so you cant really call it an outdoor city anymore. Me and my family all try to avoid going to chattanooga unless we have no choice. We only go when we have stuff like doctor appointments, and rarely to a movie theater because I dont know any others as close to me. Tennessee is a good state to live in when it comes to the small town/country areas. But definitely not the cities!

    I grew up in Saint Petersburg, Fl, and my family still lives there. I moved to Chattanooga in 2000. Love the creeks and mountains near Chattanooga, how easy it is to get away from everything, and how close I can hike, mountain bike, or play in a waterfall. I miss the water in St. Pete; it's everywhere, and you can swim just about anytime. I miss the tropical foliage and alligators in Florida. I think Florida is much wilder than people think. I didn't like the dense population in St. Pete, however, it's a really nice city with an awesome downtown. Chattanooga, also, has an awesome downtown/riverfront. I have been all over the country, and I love both places! My family does, also. We take turns visiting each other, and we all love both places.

    Thanks for the shout-out, Junior! Black Creek is a 10-minute drive from downtown (when traffic cooperates, which is most of the time). In addition to the homes near the golf course, Black Creek is also building on the adjacent mountain overlooking our community. Several residents are already living on the mountain, and more than two dozen homes are actively under construction. It's worth checking out as there are lots of opportunities to buy and/or build your dream home at Black Creek.

My wife has some medical issues and we have found the health care he is incredibly good. The doctors we’ve had to deal with really take their time with us and the hospitals are first rate as far as care goes. We are avid hikers and campers and the choices we have no farther than two hours away are amazing.

    Definitely the exact price point we are looking for but as a firearm owner, GA won’t work for us (TN is much more constitutional). I noticed new builds (3b/2ba) on Zillow in the eastern half of Chattanooga for $265-280k. I’m 100% disabled vet so our guaranteed income is only $45k a year (tax free). Of course the fiancée will work if needed, and I can also. However, the plan is for me to open my own business related to my first sentence.

    My fiancée and I live in the north side of Chicago. Well technically north suburbs as the city line is 2 miles away. We are looking to leave here to buy a house together (her first, my second but I am eligible for VA loan). Based on your videos that I’ve been binge watching, we are thinking we want to move to Chattanooga. Based on our financial situation a realistic estimate would be about 9 months (6 at best-12 at worst). With enough notice we can break our lease without penalty. I was considering texting your number, but since we are still a little far off, I figured I’d reach out here first and see if you receive this or reply.

    We're moving to TN this year after my military retirement, we're looking in Chattanooga and Knoxville. In Chattanooga we're looking at Hixson/Middle Valley, and Soddy Daisy (based off some specific criteria) which would you choose? Great video.

    • @LivingInChattanooga
      @LivingInChattanooga 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Reach out to me so I can get a feel for what exactly you are wanting in an area based on preference. Hixson/Middle Valley have more conveniences compared to Soddy which is more naturesk, but Hixson has a nice park by the water for boating and stuff too, just depends on so many variables.
